A Little too Far

Neon moans. He is obviously over reacting to something Vinyl had told him.

"I don't want to go! They all hate me, the big one picks on me, and they all think I'm stupid." Neon cries as he is holding onto a pillar. Vinyl rolls her eyes, trying to pry Neon off of the pillar.

"Come on Neon. This is my family reunion and I don't want to miss it." Vinyl said. Neon gains a big smile on his face, still not letting go of the pillar.

"Yeah, a FAMILY reunion. The last time I checked, I wasn't related to you." Neon pauses for a second. "This is a good thing, because if we were, this would be really disgusting." Neon smirks. Vinyl couldn't help but to laugh.

"Fine Neon, stay and you'll be missing out on the...all you can eat buffet." Neon's eyes open wide.

"Did you say 'all you can eat buffet?'" Neon questioned. Vinyl then grows a huge smile on her face.

"Yeah, I was gonna tell you about it on the way there, but oh well. Since you don't want to go, I can understand." Neon somehow is next to Vinyl fully dressed, hair combed, and he is wearing his favorite pair of dark purple sunglasses.

"Let's roll!" Neon said as he walks to the car. Vinyl almost dies laughing.

Neon jumps in the car and gets it ready. Vinyl, while laughing, gets in the car. Neon pulls out of the driveway and then starts to drive.

"I just have one question Vinyl." Neon says seriously.

"What is it Neon?" Neon gains the blankest facial expression ever.

"Where are we going?" Vinyl starts to laugh even harder then before. Neon joins along for a bit. "No, seriously where the fuck are we going?"

Vinyl pulls into the park where the family reunion was taking place. Neon seems angry in the passenger seat.

"You didn't have to drive; I was doing an excellent job." Neon complains. Vinyl exits the car.

"You knocked over three fire hydrants and almost killed five kids." Neon starts to leave the car to.

"WRONG, it was four kids. I think I did kill the last one." Vinyl gave a sad expression. Neon awkwardly laughs. "I was just messing baby, damn. Let’s get to the damned reunion already." Vinyl smiles and they both kiss. Vinyl's father was the first to greet the couple.

"Baby Girl!" Vinyl's dad says.

"Daddy!" Vinyl said with glee. They both give each other a big hug.

"Are you still dating that idiotic rap artist?" Neon fake coughs. Vinyl's dad turns and looks at him.

"Oh...you came with her. Well it's good to see you." Neon gave a fake smile and gave Vinyl's dad a hand shake.

"The feeling you're not showing because you'll know it'll hurt Vinyl, is mutual." Neon gave a cocky smile as he let go of Vinyl's dad's hand. Vinyl's mom then shows up.

"Hey, don't fight. This is a family occasion." Vinyl's dad smiles.

"Yeah, a FAMILY occasion. The last time I checked you weren't family." Vinyl's dad pauses for a second. "This is a good thing, because if you two were, this would be really disgusting." Vinyl looks confused.

"Didn't you say something like that Neon?" Neon starts to look confused.

"Yeah, I think I did. Stop copying me old man. Get your own shit." Neon smiles before walking off.

"I'll get him." Vinyl gives her mom a hug. "Miss you mom." Vinyl chases after Neon.

She catches up to Neon. He's talking with Vinyl's sister. Vinyl walks over and gives her a hug.

"What's up Kate?" Vinyl asked and Kate sighed.

"The same old crap. My husband and I are fighting about kids. I want two or three but he wants zero." Kate said.

"That sucks. Me and Neon never had that problem...well usually we never think about it. We never have the time to speak about it." Kate starts to think.

"Now is a good time Vin. What do you guys think?" Neon laughs.

"ME as a parent? That's like putting a dictator in charge of controlling peace, it ain't gonna be good." Vinyl gains an angry expression.

"I don't know Neon. Maybe we could have kids; one of us would just have to change the way they act at least around the kid." Neon gets angry.

"Let me guess, by 'one of us,' you mean me." Vinyl nods her head. "Well if I have a kid, I ain't changing a bit. If I wanted to change the way I act, I would do it because I want to, not because I have a fucking kid." Vinyl's baby nephew Jake walks by. "Fuck that shit."

"Fuck dat shit!" Jake repeated. Vinyl got shocked.

"That's right bro." Neon knuckle bumps Jake. Jake's parents grab him; look angry at Neon, and walks off.

"I'M SORRY!" Vinyl yelled to her brother and sister-in-law.

"I'M NOT!" Neon yells.

"Oh, Neon you are the most inconsiderate piece of..."

"Vinyl." Neon said.

"Yes Neon?" Vinyl asked. Neon points at her cousin who's walking closer to them.

"What's her name?" Neon asked.

"Natalia, why?" Vinyl Scratch raises an eyebrow.

"That's what I thought." Neon steps back a little bit before taking off like a bullet.
