Chapter I: Intro
Ive said this before, & Ill say it again: Listen to my story.
My name is Tidus. Im one of High Summoner Yunas guardians. Who is Yuna, you might ask? Shes one of the most important summoners in the history of Spira. She defeated Sin once & for all, bringing about the Eternal Calm. The Calm is typically a period of a few years where Sin doesnt attack Spira while its reforming after being defeated by a summoner. The only way for a summoner to defeat Sin is for them to call the Final Aeon, which will kill them after defeating Sin. The Al Bhed, one of Spiras many races of people, believed that summoners shouldnt have to die just so that Spira can be happy for a few years. One of Yunas other guardians, an Al Bhed girl named Rikku, had this same mindset, but she didnt go to the same extremes as the other Al Bhed. She didnt kidnap summoners. Me & Rikku were two of Yunas six guardians. The others were Wakka, A Blitzball player like me, Lulu, a black mage who almost treated Yuna like a sister, Auron, a man who was one of High Summoner Braskas two guardians alongside my father, & Kimahri, a Ronso who had known Yuna since she was seven years old. After we defeated Sin, different things happened to each of us. Wakka & Lulu moved back to their home of Besaid Island, then got married & had a son. We found out that Auron was an Unsent, so he was basically a ghost. Yuna sent him to the Farplane after Sin`s defeat. Kimahri became the Elder of what was left of his tribe. Yuna moved back to Besaid for a while, but Rikku came back & gave her a sphere showing a man who she thought was me, so the two of them joined a team of sphere hunters called the Gullwings in hopes of finding me.
I should probably stop talking about the past.
Now, for what happened to me.
I jumped from our airship, giving Yuna a painful goodbye. As I fell from the sky, I saw something quite unusual: A large orb of water floating in midair, just like a Blitzball arena. I landed inside the orb & started swimming towards the bottom. Before I could do so however, I was ambushed by five Sahagins, large fish-like fiends. They were nowhere near a challenge. I readied my longsword & prepared for battle. One of the Sahagins charged at me & I flipped through the water, moving over top of it & slashing as I went. The fiend sunk to the pool`s base like a rock, then fell through it.
Wow, I almost forgot how weak these things were.
My body sparked with yellow electricity as I finished them all off with one attack.
Eenie, meenie, minie, moe!
I swam forward, cutting down the four remaining fiends.
You just got sliced & diced!
I started to move upwards. When I made it halfway to the top, I began spinning. I would need the momentum for this to work.
Come on! Almost there.
My head burst through the water & the rest of my body followed. While I flew through the air, my vision was obscured by a flash of white light.
Chapter II: Looks Like The Good Life
I woke up floating on top of a lake. My eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight after a few seconds. As I climbed out of the lake, I noticed a few things. First of all, I was definitely not in Spira anymore. If I was, then I would be in the Farplane. My entire existence had been nothing but a dream of the fayth, so when they disappeared I should have too, just like the rest of Zanarkand.
"Where am I?"
I also saw that wherever I was, it looked different. Everything was brighter, more colorful. Happier. My longsword, Brotherhood, was still strapped to my back. I decided to draw it just in case.
"Never know what I might find here."
In the distance I could make out what looked like a town. In the lake next to me, I could see my reflection. My blonde hair was just as disheveled as usual, my Blitzball uniform still had its one leg higher than the other, my longsword still had its sky blue, white-lined blade, everything about me was the same.
What is this place? Wherever I am, I`m liking it so far.
Before I started towards the town, a booming roar echoed in the distance. A large monster similar to a Chimera bounded out of the forest behind me. The moment it got within range, I jumped forward & attacked the beast with all my strength. It swiped a massive clawed paw at me, then stepped back. Its tail rose into the air. A storm of large spikes flew from the monster`s tail. I blocked a few of them with my sword, then started jumping back & forth to avoid them. When the onslaught ended I charged the beast. It swung its tail at me, but I simply blocked the attack with the flat of my blade, then countered it by thrusting my sword upward, then dashing straight ahead & cutting its tail in two. The monster roared in pain, then ran back into the forest.
"Nothing to it!" I taunted while tossing my sword into the air & catching it.
That was... interesting. Oh well.
I kept walking towards the town. At the edge of my vision, I could see a large blue blur flying towards me. Upon closer inspection I saw that it was leaving behind a rainbow-colored trail. The blur slammed into my chest & pinned me to the ground, revealing a cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane & tail. From what I could tell, it was male.
"Who are you, what are you, & why are you here?" He interrogated, holding a hoof above my head as if he was about to punch me.
"Im not going to hurt you! My name is Tidus. I have no idea where I am, but from what I know, it definitely isnt Spira. To be honest, I should be asking you what you are. Please let me go."
"You really think I`m that gullible? Who are you working for? The Changelings? King Sombra? Discord?"
"I dont know who youre talking about! Let me go now!"
"Sorry, but your little mind games aren`t going to work on me. Do you know who I am?"
"Yeah. A misinformed jerk."
"What did you just call me? I`m Rainbow Blitz, fastest flier in Equestria!"
"Equestria?"
Equestria... equestrian... horses. Oh, you`ve gotta be kidding me.
"So, I`m not in Spira anymore?"
"Of course not. What the heck is a Spira?"
"Spira is my home. It`s not an object."
"I dont want to, but for now Ill trust you, Tidus." He flashed a light smirk before beckoning to me.
"Now, follow me."
