We each have our own unique talents, and flaws. We are all diverse In one way or another. Except for me. My insect-like wings thrummed gently to the beat of my breathing, as I tried to sleep on the cool sands that overtook the barren wasteland to which I had been banished. The wind whipped my stringy hair, and whistled through the crevices in my hooves. I had never been so hungry in the entirety of my short life. I remembered aunt Celestia’s harsh words as she left me here in this desert. But all she had ever offered me anyway was cold, scornful hate. She had mistreated my mother, and taken her from me on countless occasions. She never really understood. I can still recall quite clearly the warmth of my mothers heart as she wrapped her silken wings around my being. Her face slowly thinning, her body becoming frail, and her hair bleeching, as I unknowingly drained her love. Feeding, prospering, as I slowly killed her. Now, all I could remember is the love she gave me. The care, and the happiness. The life. Now, as I am stuck here, I only have one thing left to cling to. One thing I will always depend on. Mother will save me! I thought, she will! I thought these words continuously, melodically, as I slowly drifted off to sleep. In canterlot, within the castle. Luna’s chamber. “ SHES GONE! GONE” Luna called out to her daughter “ GONE! ANTUMMBRIA! GONE!” Luna frantically ran about ,checking under pillows, between curtains and inside armoires. After a few minutes, she collapsed in a sobbing heap on her missing daughters previous resting quarters. “gone!” she whispered between tears. “Luna! Luna? Oh my dear sister, why might you be crying?” Celestia called, inviting herself into Luna’s room. “GONE! SHE’S GONE!” Luna continued to rant maniacally, “GONE! THIS WAS YOUR DOING! WASN’T IT!?” Celestia tried to calm her voice “ I did it for your own good, Luna.” you could not see what I did. You are pale and sickishly thin. She was-“ “I DO NOT CARE FOR YOUR REASONS! I LOVED HER” Luna screamed. “She-“ Celestia attempted to explain. “out.” Luna mumbled. “But I-“ Celestia stammered. “OUT!” Luna demanded, more forcefully this time. “GET OUT! NOW! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN!” she shouted. B A thick wave of darkness hit Celestia, as she was expelled from between the large ebony doors, which slammed shut in her face. She couldn’t entirely comprehend the events of her encounter with Luna, but soon realized a terrible truth. Though for good intentions, she may indeed have done something she would regret. Something that might have changed the course of fate, and forever drive them apart. She may have taken an evil away from her sister, but with that, she took her sisters love. Love, in all its forms, is still indeed the strongest tie. Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPad
