On Equus, humanity has been little more than pets and livestock for centuries. Every now and again an aberration would be discovered, a human with odd traits or slightly above average intelligence. In this case, Alex is so much more than a simple creature. Discovering himself in a world populated by mythological creatures that subjugate and occasionally devour mankind, the hunter becomes the hunted.
