Soldiers of the Night

It was said that on the thousandth day of the thousandth year, Princess Luna would be freed from her clutches on the moon, and so it was. But there was an unforeseen…problem that occured. Princess Luna returned as Nightmare Moon, the evil being that before tried to shroud Equestria in an eternal night.

Six ponies, led by the purple unicorn Twilight Sparkle, defeated Nightmare Moon by harnessing the Elements of Harmony, allowing Princess Luna to return to the norm and release Princess Celestia from her prison.

Celestia apologized to her sister, begged her for forgiveness. But Luna refused. She still blamed her sister for all the hurt that happened to her over the past thousand years, and vowed revenge.

The heartbroken Princess Celestia fought her sister, determined to bring peace to her family once more. But Luna fled, flying deep into the Everfree Forest, home to the bat ponies, an almost forgotten nocturnal race.

They welcomed in their ruler with open hooves, and she became the start of the revolution and the leader of the Soldiers of the Night, devoting their lives to destroy the Sunbound, or followers of Celestia.

This is the story of Jade Moonstone, the First Legion’s general. For she is about to find out something that should never have been revealed.
