Inside Rainbow’s ward lies Twilight and company unconscious with the exception of Rainbow Dash who was free of any restraints with a maniacal smile accompanied by pinprick pupils and bloodshot eyes.
The guards failed to notice any disturbances and suddenly Rainbow slammed the door open into one of the ponies knocking him unconscious with a bleeding muzzle. The other guard quickly looked to see what was happening only to stop dead in his tracks to see Rainbow’s face.
Rainbow did a left hook into the guards face into the wall leaving a slight crack and another bleeding pony. “I smellll youuu…” said Rainbow as she started down the hallway towards a certain mare’s ward.
Applejack started to stir awake as she tried to recall what had happened. “Ugh… my head… wha-” she looked around as she saw everypony unconscious except for “Rainbow… where’s Rainbow?!”
Applejack quickly saw that the door was open and rushed out finding two unconscious ponies and a small hoof marked blood trail. Applejack tried calling for a nurse but for some reason she wasn’t heard. After a few tries she gave up and started following the blood trail hoping that she wasn’t too late.

Inside an intensive care ward lies a pink mare with heavy breathing as she keeps recalling the same event over and over again where Rainbow both yelled and stabbed her. Recalling the cold knife of the blade as it almost stopped her heart.
All she could do was cry and ask ‘Why?’ as the moments pass. Somewhere along the way she lost count and started to feel nothing. No Pain. No Sadness. No Remorse. All she remembers now was the face of a pony who keeps thrusting the knife into her heart. Was that where her heart was? She couldn’t remember. All she wishes for now is a stop to this cycle of remembrance.

Nearby was Rainbow who slowly opened a door while giggling to herself “Hehehe… Where are you ghostie? There you are!” She exclaimed this point by jumping onto Pinkie’s bed while managing to awake her as well.
“GUESS WHO?” said Rainbow as she closed the distance between her face and Pinkie’s while nearly touching her snout. All Pinkie had was a blank stare as she thought this was another cycle but she felt that something was missing. The knife.
With Pinkie robbed or her ability to think properly all she could do was watch as Rainbow slowly raised both her hooves up with the same look as she stabbed her all those times.
Then it began. Rainbow started pummeling Pinkie’s head in while laughing to herself and saying “Like my laugh ghostie? Do you like it? I’ll make you love it!” The beating continued as fresh blood started to stain Rainbow’s coat and hooves, small crunching sounds could be heard every now and again as Pinkie felt nothing while slowly losing her vision but kept hearing the same laughter over and over again.

Applejack ran as fast as she could following the sound of laughter. She skidded to a halt as she neared the end of the trail and an open door. She was shocked by what she saw; Rainbow laughing while beating Pinkie senseless.
“Stop that right now!” Applejack ran towards Rainbow tackling her away from Pinkie but that didn’t stop Rainbow as she continued to flail her hooves as Applejack was trying to pin her to the floor. She received quite a few bucks to her face, abdomen and shoulders but kept firm as she tried to pin her down.
After managing to pin down her forelegs Rainbow started to flail her head still letting out that laughter of hers. After a few flails Rainbow bit Applejacks leg. Hard. Applejack quickly used her other hoof to swat away Rainbow but not without having part of her coat and skin ripped off.
Rainbow spat out what was in her mouth while licking her lips. “You taste like candy!” She slowly got up and inched towards the now frightened Applejack who was slowly backing away on her haunches.
“A-Ahm warning you… don’t yo-you come any cl-closer now ye hear!” Although Applejack felt a burning pain in her hoof earlier now all she felt was fear as her back hit the wall. “Get away from me!” This triggered Rainbow to leap straight at her with blood stained teeth bared.
Without thinking Applejack tried bucking with both of her legs and closed her eyes hoping to stop Rainbow. She felt something connecting with one of her hooves, as she opened her eyes she saw Rainbow laid out on the floor to her left leaving a small blood trail along with a broken tooth or two.
Rainbow was still laughing though weaker now and said “Hehe… you got me good ghostie… wait till… next… time…” her laughter stopped then and there leaving Applejack shocked as she crawled over. “No, no, no, please don’t tell me ah killed her…”
Applejack sat next to Rainbow as she put her hoof onto Rainbows chest. She felt Rainbow breathing. “Oh thank Celestia yer no- Pinkie!” with a sudden realization Applejack quickly got up only to cringe in pain and fall down in the small puddle of blood near her. Undeterred she continued on with the limp and pressed the Call Nurse button near the bed then she went to check on Pinkie.
What she saw was a mess. Pinkie’s snout was deformed, a few blood stained teeth on the pillow, a broken jaw and a swollen eye which was bleeding. The only sign that she was alive was her shallow breathing that could be heard.
“It’s alright Pinkie, it’s gonna be alright. Those doctors will fix you up ya hear? Nurse! Ah need you right now!” Multiple hoofsteps could be heard as Applejack called for help. Nurse Redheart along with a few other doctors assigned to Pinkie showed up and saw the mess.
“Quick, step aside! We’ll take it from here!” Nurse Redheart assured Applejack as she helped her onto the chair nearby and noticed her hoof. “Somepony get me a wire gauze and disinfectant right now!” One of the doctors attending to Pinkie quickly got up and ran towards a nearby supply cabinet grabbing some bottles of disinfectant, wire gauze and cotton buds with his telekinesis.
The doctor rushed back to Nurse Redheart handing her some of the supplies while giving the rest to the others to the doctors attending to Pinkie. “We need to get this pony to the ER stat!” The others nodded as some of the doctors prepped Pinkie for transfer while the rest were finishing up cleaning her wounds and stopping her bleeding.
Just as the last gauze was placed most of the doctors rushed to the ER while a few stayed to help tend to Applejack and Rainbow. “Be careful, she could still be dangerous.” The other doctors nodded as one of them went to get a straightjacket while the others cleaned up Rainbow while making some makeshift restraints using the wire gauze.
“Applejack! Are you hurt? We got here as fast as we-” Applejack turned to the sound of the voice as she saw Twilight and the others outside of Pinkie’s room. They gasped at the blood covered floor, the restrained Rainbow and a battered Applejack.
“Ah couldn’t make it in time… Pinkie got hurt again Twi…” Applejack was on the verge of tears as Twilight and the others went to comfort her. Celestia was the last one to approach her and looked with disdain at the scene. “Applejack I know this may be too soon for you but could you tell me what happened here?”
Applejack nodded and told them everything. The blood, the fighting, the laughter. Celestia’s brow furrowed as she took in this information while leaving Twilight shocked, Fluttershy whimpering and both Rarity and Spike fainted.
“I understand. We must now take more drastic measures to ensure everpony’s safety. Rainbow will be locked inside the Canterlot dungeons guarded and heavily restrained. I only hope we can still save her despite what she has done.”
Celestia left for Canterlot to make the preparations promising to send her guards over to escort Rainbow. Applejack felt relieved and the moment she let relaxed the fatigue washed over her as she slowly blacked out.

Chapter 1 (Edited the Beginning)
Note: This is an unofficial continuation for Rocket to Insanity. I made this because I felt the story lacking at the end and had some potential. Some edits have been made (Intended for those who already read chapter 1)
The Darkness of Ones Soul
It was a bright and sunny day in Ponyville as everypony is basking in the sunshine brought out by their very own Princess Celestia. Applejack was going about her daily chores and decided to buy some cupcakes for little Applebloom because she worked harder than ever at Sweet Apple Acres without causing mayhem.
As Applejack neared Sugar Cube Corner she heard a wail, with Rainbow Dashes voice no less. “What in tarnation?!” she said as she immediately sped into Sugar Cube Corner and nearly bucking the door down. “Now what in the hay is goi-” She stopped as red filled her vision. Pinkie Pie lying on the floor with hollow lifeless eyes staring into nothing.
“Oh no… this can’t be true!” Applejack sped to the filly’s side, quickly checking for a pulse, she could only feel it faintly. Apple Jack turned Pinkie over to see how she was faring but was frozen as she saw the knife still fresh with blood sticking out of Pinkies chest. Applejack was shivering with fear, anguish and rage as she pulled out the knife with her hooves.
“Why… Why did this have’ta happen…? Who coul’da done this to you… ” Applejack started to realize that she wasn’t the only one in the room as she heard something like laughter and tears. She carefully gazed around her and saw a blood trail leading to the corner just next to the staircase, there she saw Rainbow Dash covered in blood, tears and what seems like a face of regret and madness.
“Rainbow… did you do this?” All she got was Rainbow Dash simply singing to herself over and over again. “Ah’ better get some help…for Pinkie and Rainbow…” Apple Jack quickly sped off to find anypony that can help.

Several hours later…
At the Ponyville hospital, Pinkie Pie was admitted to the ER and Rainbow into the insanity ward for observation. A doctor told Twilight and her friends that chances were slim to revive Pinkie, almost next to nothing but he would try. Twilight and the others couldn’t believe their ears when they heard what Apple Jack told them.
“This can’t be… how could this have happened?” questioned Twilight but was met with equally confused looks all around her. Fluttershy was just crawling in a corner of the waiting room crying to herself and asking, “Why?” over and over again. Rarity next to her, was trying to calm her as best she could. Spike was absent as he had to send a detailed report to Princess Celestia and asking for assistance.
BEEP! went the light above the Operating Room. The doctor came out with a grim expression on his face. The girls prepared for the worst, even Fluttershy stopped crying to hear what he had to say. “It was a close one but we barely made it.” Joyous cheers erupted from everypony and they were relieved to have Pinkie alive. But the doctor stopped their joyous occasion adding on that Pinkie may need to stay for over a year in this hospital to recover.
Twilight and the others were still relieved that Pinkie was alright but Apple Jack decided to ask the question weighing down on everypony’s mind; “But what about Rainbow Dash?” the doctor quickly coughed and said that she would need to be under observation for the time being.
Soon after saying that Spike came bursting into the room, “Is Pinkie Pie gonna be okay?!” Everypony nodded much to Spikes relief. “That is good to hear.” Suddenly Princess Celestia came in just after Spike. “Princess Celestia! What are you doing here?” exclaimed Twilight. “I just couldn’t turn away when my star pupil or her friends are in danger now can I?” Twilight faintly smiled as she heard that but then asked if she could also somehow help Rainbow Dash.
Princess Celestia nodded and asked to be taken to the ward holding Rainbow. The doctor protested saying that it was unsafe but caved in as everypony agreed with her.
In the room lies Rainbow Dash forever smiling, crying and singing to herself rocking back and forth near the corner of the room. Princess Celestia and the others cautiously approached Rainbow with hopes to find some clue on why Rainbow Dash nearly murdered Pinkie Pie. “Twilight, I am going to use a mind reading spell on her but one more powerful than the one that you use. Everypony in this room will be able to see what is going on in her mind. Are you all prepared?”
Everypony nodded in succession and Princess Celestia started casting the spell. Suddenly the room became black at what which seemed to stretch out forever. Nopony could see anything but they all heard the same sound. A knife being sharpened. Just as everypony was going to lose their mind, Princess Celestia and Twilight lighted up the room and everypony was stunned at what they saw.

“Oh, Hiya everypony! Whatcha doin here?” asked a curios looking Pinkie Pie. Everypony was just shocked to see Pinkie Pie… not in bandages… and also brandishing what seems like a metal… cake knife? “Everypony listen! This is all just an image within Rainbow Dashes mind!” proclaimed Princess Celestia “But thread carefully as what we do here can affect both her and us as well.” Everypony nodded and decided to go with the flow of things for now.
“If everypony is done talking to each other then how about helping to set up my party?” Twilight and the others and had to ask; “What’s the occasion Pinkie?” “Oh you silly fillies, it’s Rainbow Dashes surprise birthday party! She’s coming over at 3 and I still have sooooooo many decorations to put up but my party cannon got clogged up… hmm… whatcha’ think coulda happened? Anyway, could you all help me put up the decoration while I finish with the cake?” Everypony nodded and helped out.
Things went smoothly and the preparation for the party was nearly complete, everypony was just waiting for Pinkie to touch up the cake. Rarity suddenly blurted out “Oh my stars! We didn’t get any presents for Rainbow!” Pinkie cut in and said; “Oh you silly fillies, you left them here yesterday remember? After we all went shopping in Manehatten last week.” Pinkie then pointed to the gifts all stacked on a table off to the side brimming with presents.
Pinkie went back to the kitchen and carefully put the finishing touches on the cake. Soon after the door swung open and Rainbow entered Sugar Cube Corner with a happy look on her face, not the deranged face back at the hospital. “Heya everypony and Princess Celestia too! I feel honored having you here today for my Birthday.” she said as she casually bowed down.
“Oh it’s no problem, after all you only get to celebrate your birthday once every year.” as Princess Celestia casually stated. Pinkie erupted from the kitchen and simply said “Cakes done! Oh Dashie, you’re here already? Then let’s get this party started! Since its your birthday Dashie, you get to cut the cake first!” Pinkie smiled as she handed Rainbow the brandished cake knife.
“Sure Pinkie Pie and the cake looks awesome!” The cake was decorated with all the coulours of the rainbow going around the cake in rings and on top of the cake was a small figurine of Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts standing next to her. “This… Is… Awesome!” Rainbow fluttered over the cake and cut out a slice for each one of her friends and passed them out.
“Hmm… I feel like we’re missing something to have with the cake though… Oh, I know!” Suddenly Rainbow raised the cake knife and sliced off Pinkies head clean off her shoulders and it lands with a heavy thud on the floor while her body slowly goes limp. “AHHHHHHHHH!!” shouted everypony who saw what just happened. “I felt like we needed some punch and here we got some! But this can’t possibly be enough…” Rainbow then looks at all her friends with a sly grin on her face and immediately charges at them.
Celestia quickly was trying to sever the dream vision they were having and a bright light quickly engulfed everypony in the room blinding them just as Rainbow was about to slice their heads clean off. Then darkness once again engulfs all of them…
