//-------------------------------------------------------// The Button and the Belle -by indecisiveButton- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// New faces //-------------------------------------------------------// New faces -Button's POV- ( quickly turned to the voice, and saw the most beautiful sight ever, a white filly unicorn with amazing curls in her mane. Her mane had two colors: pink and purple, and in a way that matched so perfectly... Lucky lightly swatted the side of my head. "Hey, snap out of it!" he snapped at me. I blushed and replied with a rather dumb "Uh..." Lucky rolled his eyes and  smirked. "Well, looks like my brother's found a crush." This caught me off-guard, and I immediately said, "I-I do not!" but all the meanwhile thinking, Do I? I don't know what it's like to have a crush, so I don't really know... Luckily, my mom jumped in before Lucky could say anything else on the matter. "Come on, boys, we're going to our new house." Lucky shrugged and said, "Sure, let's go." I, however, tried to protest. "Actually, mom, I wanna explore some more!" Mom seemed unsure about this, "Are you sure? Do you know the address?" I nodded. "124, Orange Avenue." "Okay, be safe! Oh, and be back by sunset," she said before going home with the rest of the family. I adjusted my saddlebags and trotted to the white unicorn, only then realizing she was with some other fillies. One was a yellow Earth pony with red mane and a red bow on her head. Another was an orange pegasus with purple mane. The other was a brown Earth pony with hot pink mane, who I think i saw on the train. The orange one was looking at me. "Hey, dude, what's up?" she said all of a sudden. I didn't know what to say. Before long, the yellow one with a bow trotted up to me. "Howdy, there! Ah'm Apple Bloom!" the one with the bow said. She had an interesting country accent, that reminded me of some cowcolt movies. Apple Bloom pointed to the orange pegasus, "This here is Scootaloo-" then the brown one, "-my cousin, Babs Seed-" and finally the pretty, white unicorn, "and here's Sweetie Belle." "Well, I'm Button Mash." Sweetie Belle blushed and waved, and I waved backed. Apple Bloom continued with her introduction, "And we are-"  they put their hooves in the air together and said in unison, "THE CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS! YAY!" At first I thought the idea of a group was cool, until I paid more attention to their name. Cutie mark crusaders? "Sorry, I don't really care about earning my cutie mark. All of them gasped except Apple Bloom, who said, "Oh, no worries. We already have a rule about no colts allowed." Sweetie gave a look to Apple Bloom, which I didn't really get since I have a hard time analyzing some facial expressions. Apple Bloom said to Sweetie Belle, staring at her eyed with an expression that just seemed firm, "No. Colts. Allowed. Besides, he doesn't even care about his cutie mark." They started arguing about the No-Colts-Allowed rule, so I decided to just pulled out my JoyBoy and play some Pokemon. This caught Sweetie Belle's attention, and she squeaked, "Hey, what's that!" I looked up, "Um... It's a JoyBoy." "A what-buoy?" "A JoyBoy." "What in the hay is that?" Scootaloo asked in confusion, to which I replied, "It's a video game." "Are they like those arcade games?" asked Sweetie Belle. I nodded and said, "Kinda. This is something easy to carry, and you can switch the games in the console." "What's a console?" Apple Bloom asked, to which I rolled my eyes. "Really? A consoled is the, um, box. The thing that holds the game inside." "I knew that!" Sweetie Belle squeaked. Her friends gave her a funny look, and I did, too. She blushed and said, "Just wanted to let you guys know..." They kept asking questions. Mostly Sweetie Belle, who seemed really interested. Eventually I made an individual folder for each of them to play. Sweetie Belle was the first to go, and picked Squirtle as her starter, the same one I picked. Scootaloo picked Charmander, which she was really happy with. Apple Bloom picked Bulbasaur. Despite getting a Pokemon good for beginners, she wasn't all that good at the game. Before we could give Babs a turn, we noticed Pinkie Pie bouncing up and down right next to us with a basket-hat-thing on her head. "H-how long have ya been there?" Apple Bloom asked. Pinkie Pie happily responded, "Oh, for a while now. I'm giving out invitations to the Mash's welcoming party. Sweetie Belle took 4 invitations and passed 3 of them to her friends. "We'll be sure to make it!" "Yeah! We love parties!" Scootaloo said. "And we love y... your games!" Sweetie Belle said, blushing and chuckling nervously. This got me excited. "Really?!" "Yeah! They're really cool!" "I know, right? Most say they're too geeky, but they don't know the true awesomeness within them. So, see you four at the party?" They all nodded and trotted away. I smiled and headed home. I couldn't believe it. I made some friends! I was starting to like this place. //-------------------------------------------------------// A new home //-------------------------------------------------------// A new home The Mashes were one the train, travelling to their new home. The mother and father were Monster Mash and Elaina Mash, who had tow sons: Lucky Mash and Button Mash Button Mash looked out the window of the train, listening to the clickety-clack of the wheels on the tracks. After a sigh, he looked at his JoyBoy and started to play PonyMon. Button grumbled as he lost against the Elite Four again. Resisting the urge to cry, he put it back in his saddlebags and leaned against the window of the train. Elaina tapped his shoulder. "Everything alright, sweetie?" she asked, already figuring out the answer before Button spoke. Button looked at her, trying to hold back tears in his eyes. He eventually couldn't hold it back anymore and cried into his moms shoulders. "It's not fair. The Elite Four are- are just to powerfu-hul," he subbed into his mom's shoulder. Lucky Mash, rolled his eyes. "Oh, what a crybaby!" "Lucky!" Elaina snapped. "But it's true!" Lucky argued "You know your younger brother is very emotional. He can't help it," Elaina defended Button. "Besides, I'd like to see you try to beat the Elite Four at only 8 years old, only in a week turning 9." After about half an hour after the incident, Button was looking out the window, a little sad. "Why do I have to make friends, mom?" he asked. "I mean, we're gonna move right after I do, anyways." Elaina smiled. "Actually, Button, your father and I have been talking, and we decided no more moving after this," she told her son. Button lit up and hugged her tightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you." ****** The train stopped, and Button grabbed his saddlebags, carrying them outside as his family still got their stuff ready and then following him. A pink mare bounced over to the family. "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! I haven't seen you before, which must mean you're new! And when new ponies come into Ponyville, you know what that means? A welcoming party! How does tonight sound for ya?" she asked quickly. Shocked, Elaina smiled and introduced the family, :I'm Elaina Mash, and this is my husband, Monster Mash, and these are our two suns, Lucky Mash and Button Mash. Um, we already have a house saved for us, so I guess tonight will be fine." "Ooh! That's amazing! I'll invite everypony I can! It'll be a doozy of a party! See ya!" Pinkie exclaimed before bouncing away And with that, Button was already liking his new home. "Hi, Babs!" squeaked a voice next to him
