"Good morning, Mr. librarian! I'm here to check out some books!" Shouted a unicorn filly as she busted through the door of the library with her satchel strapped around her.

An old unicorn stallion stared up from his desk and grinned happily at the filly.

"Hey, Twilight," he mumbled sweetly. "Are you planning on reading another history book today?"

"Yes, sir. Do you have any on the history of fillydelphia?" She questioned eagerly as she trotted toward the desk.

The old stallion toggled his glasses in deep thought. Suddenly, an expression of elation had fallen upon his face.

"As a matter of fact, I believe I do have that book. I think it's in the very back. I'll go find it right away, Ms. Sparkle." He said promptly.

Twilight then sat upon her rump where she was as she heard the hoof steps behind the desk fade and creep toward the back of the library. A few minutes had passed with no noise  until she heard the hoof steps return back to the desk.

"So, do you have my book on the history of fillydelphia?" Twilight cooed.

The old stallion then coughed and started breathing heavily as if he were under pressure. He then turned his eyes toward a book beside him, and smiled as if a weight was taken off of him.

"You know what? How about you read about the history of origami? It's a real page turner." Directed the old stallion as he shoved an old brown book toward Twilight.

Twilight tried to peek over the edge of the main desk to get a look at it, but her body was too small. She then let out a disgruntle sigh of disappointment. The librarian noticed her predicament, and laughed.

"Oops," he chuckled. "Sorry about that."

He then with his unicorn magic lowered the book down to where Twilight was and stuffed it in her satchel.

"There you go, Twilight." The librarian grinned.

Twilight smiled from ear to ear with delight.

"Thank you, Mr. Librarian." She peeped.

As she was walking, she heard the librarian coughing as if he was trying to get her attention. She turned around and saw him pointing his hooves toward a piece of paper on a clipboard that had the word CHECKOUT in bold letters.

"You forgot your name, Twilight." He said calmly.

Twilight blushed with embarrassment as she walked toward the counter and signed her name with the clipboard he placed in front of her.

"Thank you." He said as she finished signing.

Twilight once again grinned happily as she trotted in the opposite direction and out the door.

As she was leaving, the librarian then went from his counter, down the hall of library books, and into the bathroom. He then went into the last stall and locked it tight. A flash of light came through his hooves and encircled his entire body. Transforming him into a blue mare with blue and white hair. He then gazed at the mirror in the stall and chuckled maniacally.

"Finally! Now that I have twilight's signature, she can be my slave, and the great and powerful trixie will be powerful again!" She screamed.

Suddenly, a male stallion busted down the stall's door and stared down at trixie.

"You! You threw me into that bag, and shoved me into that musty old  closet. It wasn't that well locked or tied up though, but still. I'm the librarian!" He shouted with rage.

Just then, flashes of light beamed through and around Trixie. An evil grin spread across her face in triumph.

"Your too late. See ya, mister." Trixie shouted.

A flash of light then engulfed the room, causing the librarian to go blind for a few seconds. He then opened his eyes to find himself all alone staring at a cracked mirror.

   "Darn it." He mumbled.

                                                                                * * *

"Twilight, look out! I'm about to eat the biggest sandwich of them all!" A purple dragon with green spikes shouted as he gulped down a humongous BLT.

Twilight glanced at him in fear, only to get bits of bacon and saliva flung at her face.

"Spike!, are you serious? You almost made it sound like we were being attacked by something." Twilight shouted as she flapped her wings in anger.

"Thanks for taking us all on a picnic, Twilight. It's mighty nice of ya." an orange mare yawned as she lay down next to spike whose face was full of bacon, lettuce, and tomato.

"Your quite welcome, Applejack." Twilight cooed as she nuzzled at the grass.

"Yeah, thanks twilight. I was in need of a nice tan." A blue pegasus mare said coolly as she laid down on the grass with her shades.

"Why would you need a tan when your coated in fur, Rainbow dash?" Twilight demanded.

"Because tanning is cool." Rainbow dash smirked as she toggled at her shades.

"You know, I really do like picnics, and unreasonable tanning, but I think both could still use more balloons." A pink mare said calmly.

"Pinkie, I think I'll never impress you no matter how hard I try. Even if it involves something unreasonable like pony tans." Twilight cooed.

"You know twilight, they're building a new sauna at the spa. Perhaps when I plan the next trip we could go there?" A white unicorn mare questioned as she sat next to Twilight.

"Sure, Rarity. We'll go there as soon as they get finished with it." Twilight answered calmly.

"Twilight, thank you for taking us." Whispered a yellow pegasus mare that stood opposite to Twilight."

"Your quite welcome, Fluttershy." Twilight grinned.

The friends basked in the sun and ate some more until twilight felt the muzzle of a pony nuzzle her mane as if it were trying to get her attention. She looked, and saw fluttershy dressed as Santa .

"S-Santa? Is that you?"  Twilight stammered and gasped.

Fluttershy Santa stood bold. Her fake beard flowing swiftly and softly in the wind. Her mane flowing with elegance and grace.

   "Yes." She shouted boldly.

Twilight then immediately went into uncontrollable convulsions, and then fell straight into an unexpected coma. Her friends stared at her body in horror.

"You went too far, Fluttershy!" Spike and the others cried out at her.

"Oh my. I just thought this would be a harmless prank. I'm so sorry." She cried.

Suddenly, a flash of light came out of nowhere next to them and had been replaced by Trixie in a matter of seconds. She then looked at fluttershy who was still dressed as Santa and then at twilight who was still asleep in her coma. A look of utter disappointment had fallen upon Trixie's face followed by a boiling rage.

"Darn it! A year of studies on time travel and changeling magic have been soiled by a pegasus dressed as a jolly old fatty! I worked so hard for nothing! nothing I tell you! I even made twilight legally sign her freedom over to me so I could use her as a slave! I guess I won't be needing this anymore!" Trixie shouted as she grabbed a sheet of paper out of her mane and  ripped it to shreds.

Spike and the others stood in horror as trixie stormed out of the meadows and went out far beyond into the distance. Silence fell for a couple of minutes until they heard a cough from twilight.

"Nice work, guys," Twilight said happily. "I've been waiting for that to happen for years. You don't trick a trickster."
