Chapters Father's Day
"Okay fillies and colts, time for crafts! Can you guess what we'll be making?" asked Cheerilee to her class. Dusky Hex, a midnight blue unicorn colt, raised his hoof.
Cheerilee smiled, "Yes, Mr. Lulamoon."
"Cards for our dads." Dusky told his teacher, pointing towards the example in the back.
"Good observation skills! Now class, let's go to the back tables and start crafting!" instructed Cheerilee. Everypony cheered and rushed to the back. Of course, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon got the best spots at the table. Dusky Hex settled himself down near the back door. He never met his dad, and he'd never thought of asking the Great and Powerful Mom, Trixie, but he thought that maybe he was just away. Or that he was dead. Either way, he wasn't too concerned. After all, his mom was the most caring, coolest, and overall best in all of Equestria. After a few minutes, everypony was busy with crafts, so Dusky decided it was time for him to go home. The always did crafts at the end of the day anyways. He quietly opened the back door and slipped out. Of course, his mom was waiting for him at the edge of the schoolyard. She knew that he'd rather practice magic tricks with her than do some craft.
Trixie smiled as she saw him approach, opening up her arms for a hug. "How was you day, Dusky?" The two shared a quick embrace, and they started walking home.
"It was cool. We learned about cutie marks today. The craft today was making a card for Father's Day." he replied casually. A strange looked passed over the ex show mare's face. It quickly disappeared as she looked down on her son. There was no mistaking the two as family. Though his coat was darker, his mane and tail were the exact same colors as Trixie's. They had similar magic auras too. His was the shade of Trixie's eyes, and his eyes were the color of Trixie's aura. The pair arrived at their mobile home, and Trixie set up an array of items. A piece of paper, a quill, a table, and a boulder.
Trixie smiled and said, "Watch me, and then you try to do it." She narrowed her eyes as she focused her magic on the table. It was enveloped in a pinkish purple aura. It shuddered and then turned blue. She then took the piece of appear and pencil and wrote 'I love you' on it. Then put it on the desk. Finally, she turned her attention to the boulder. This part was the hardest. Transmutation. The boulder began to jerk violently as Trixie focused her magic on it. Then, with a sudden burst if energy, it turned into an apple, which was promptly put into the desk. It took a pretty talented unicorn to complete all the spells together, but Dusky Hex was almost as talented as his mother. After being defeated by Twilight Sparkle several times, Trixie realized that she needed to take magic seriously. She trained alone for ages at the mountains. When she finally returned to Ponyville, she ended up pregnant after she was raped by an unknown stallion. She was actually thankful for that stallion. Dusky Hex really made her fully realize the joys of being a mother. Ponyville forgave her for her previous actions because of him too. They saw how much she adored him, as all mothers do. She never told anypony about her son's father, or how she even ended up pregnant. She diverted all questions, and after he was born, everypony seemed to forget. Trixie was lost in the memory of how he came to be, so before she realized it, Dusky had reverted all the items to their former state and changed them back again.
"Mom, look at what I did!" he exclaimed. She looked upon his handiwork with awe. Dusky was sweaty and a little out of breath, but it was worth the look on his mother's face. The desk color was slightly off, and the hand writing was shaky, but it was by far the best work he'd ever done.
"Amazing! This means you get a special treat today!" Trixie told him, leading him inside the house. Opening the freezer, Trixie retrieved Dusky Hex's favorite ice cream: caramel nougat delight. She made a bowl and placed it on the table in front of him.
"Thanks!" cheered Dusky. He dug in, and savored every bit. Trixie went to the living area and relaxed in front of the TV. She heard the cleaning of dishes as her unicorn colt put the dishes away in the sink. He soon walked into the area and curled up next to his mom. There had been a question that he had always wanted to ask his mother, but he was afraid to ask it.
Trixie looked at her son sweetly, "Baby, I know you want to talk about something. Out with it." He sighed, and looked up at Trixie.
"Who was my dad?" He asked, curiosity finally over coming him.

What do you think? My first MLP Fanfiction. I'm trying to get used to typing on here from my phone, and it's a little funky. I got a handle on it now though. If there are any problems, feel free to let me know. I love all feedback, positive or negative.
"Who was my dad?"
Dusky Hex's innocent face peered up at her. Trixie was conflicted. She could lie, but he could eventually find out the truth. She can't tell him the exact truth. He doesn't need to know about all the bad things ponies do. She decided to tell a slightly altered version of the truth.
"Okay, Dusky. It starts way back. Before Princess Twilight was a princess. I was a show pony, and a pretty good one at that. I called myself 'The Great and Powerful Trixie' and I travled all of Equestria. One day, I journeyed to Ponyville. I boasted about my powers, and most of the town's locals were enamoured by me. Except Twilight and her friends, the Elements of Harmony. Two colts in particular were extreme fans. Snails and Snips. I believe they are still in school with you. They wanted to prove Twilight wrong, because I had claimed that I had fought off an Ursa Major. I was lying, but they believed me. So, they woke one up and brought it to Ponyville from the Everfree Forest. I tried to defeat, but I failed. Twilight managed to get it to go back to sleep, and it turned out to be an Ursa Minor. I fled Ponyville, humiliated. I pledged my revenge on the town, especially Twilight Sparkle. I searched for a mystical item that could grant me endless amounts of power. It was called the Alicorn Amulet. Once I had found it and put it on, I was consumed by dark magic. I changed. I returned to Ponyville and challenged Twilight to a magic duel. I won, so she had to leave Ponyville. She returned, just like I did. Claimed she had a more powerful amulet than me. She did. It was an invisible link called friendship. She used no real magic to defeat me. I tried to steal he fake amulet, removing the evil Alicorn Amulet. I returned to my former self and asked for forgiveness. They all forgave me, but I still left Ponyville. I went up to the mountains for a few months. I trained my magic to become a better unicorn. When I came back down the mountain, a stallion attacked me from behind. I never saw what he looked like, heard his name, or knew his motives. When I returned to Ponyville, I discovered that I was pregnant. That is how I got you. Honestly, all I saw of him was a black hoof. It could be anypony." The two sat in silence for a moment. This was a life changing moment. Dusky felt a mixture of emotions. Relief, anger, and sadness among them. He decided that he was glad that he knew.
"Thanks, Mom. I'm gonna go to bed and think. Good night, and I love you." Dusky told her giving her a big hug.
"I love you too. Good night." she replied, hugging him back. She was glad she had told him, but she was worried about the impact it would have on his young mind. Her attention turned back to the TV as she watched local news. Nothing too interesting. Just some pony convicts finally getting captured. She saw soemthing out of the corner of her eye though. Something that has been imprinted into her memory ever since that stallion raped her. It was his hoof. There may be hundreds of black stallions out there, but she remembered he had a distinct chip in it. Trixie wondered what he was doing in Ponyville. She shuddered at the thought of what he might be up to. It made Trixie want to go check on Dusky Hex. She walked down the narrow hallway and opened his door on the left. The light was off, so she turned on her horn light. She made sure not too put too much magic into it, because she definitely didn't want to wake up her little colt. She saw that he was sleeping soundly, and it looked like he had been busy at his desk. There was a small piece of paper folded on his desk. Trixie decided to check it out. She levitated it up to her face and cover read: "Happy Father's Day!" Trixie opened up the card and read the note inside.
Dear Dad,
Even though you hurt my mom and left her all alone, I still wish I could meet you.
Love, your unknown son, Dusky Hex.
It tore at Trixie's heart. She had to do something. She took the card and quietly closed the door the the midnight blue colt's room. She picked up the phoneand immediately dialed in a number.
"Who's ready to par-TAY!!"
"Pinkie Pie, I need you to watch Dusky for a while. I'll be going on a little trip."
"Sure, Trixie. Anything for little Hexie!"
"You're a life saver! I'm leaving right now." Trixie hung up the phone and packed her saddle bag. When she opened the door, a certain pink earth pony was waiting for her. Pinkie Pie entered without a sound, and Trixie left similarly. She tucked the card into her saddlebag. She guessed that the stallion might have left a clue for her. He might even still be there, the news report she was watching was live. Trixie hastily made her way down towards the Ponyville station. She saw the reporter at a nearby cafe. She saw the alley that the hoof had come from, and she walked directly into the dark alleyway. Trixie walked to the dead end. She saw her name carved into the wall. There was an arrow pointing down towards a manhole. She knew it must be from her mystery stallion. There was only one way to find out.

Wow. This took me a while. The page kept refreshing cane deleting everything I wrote. Anyway, all opinions are encouraged to be spoken! I want to improve as a writer. If I'm awful, tell me and tell me why!
Adventure Awaits
Trixie jumped into the manhole without hesitation. How that stallion knew her name, she had no clue, but she was determined to find out. The light blue unicorn felt in her gut that there was more to it than him attacking her. She was sure that he acted the way he did not for himself, but for a very specific reason. She followed the arrows as she illuminated the path ahead with her magic. She walked on until she she an arrow pointing down again. When she looked down, there was a folded card. She levitated it up to her face. It read:
Dear Trixie Lulamoon,
I'm glad to know that you are raising up our son so well.
Love, Ace Coarsend Am
Trixie read and reread the note. It was signed with his odd hoofprint.
"What an unusual name. Ace Coaraend Am..." Trixie said to herself, getting a taste for his name. If he went though this much trouble to contact her, be must care for her and Dusky to a degree of some sort. She considered just leaving it as it was and going back home, but she had to deliver her son's letter. It was her duty as a mother. She looked down at where the card once was. There was a piece of purple glittery fabric. It immediately reminded Trixie of Rarity. Trixie unlatched her saddlebag and placed the expensive fabric inside.
"Next stop, Rarity's boutique!" Trixie announced, making her way back to where she came. If she wasn't a unicorn, it'd be nigh impossible to navigate. Which might be yet another reason that he chose her. She was never resentful of Ace, but he always intrigued her. Once she made her way back above ground, Trixie headed towards the boutique. Rarity was famous for working late, so Trixie hoped that it was one of those nights for the marshmallow-esque fashionista. It was on the other side of town, but Trixie had been practicing her teleportation spells. Her horn was enveloped in her dark pink magic aura, and she concentrated hard on the boutique. She felt her body shake with effort. In a flash of light, she found herself in front of Rarity's house. Not exactly having the best relationship, especially since she turned he hair green once, Trixie hoped the Element of Generosity would be willing to help. She raised a light blue hoof to knock, but the door opened before she got the chance. It was Spike. He was about to leave.
"Trixie, what are you doing here?" He asked, closing the door behind him.
"I could ask the same for you. I was going to ask for her advice on certain fabrics." replied Trixe to the young dragon. Spike had matured a lot since they had last met.
"Well, I was... Ummm... Helping Rarity sort stuff! Yeah, that's right! So, see you later Trixie!" the purple dragon waved as he ran away. It was such unusual behavior, but Trixie had bigger fish to fry. She let herself in the boutique, pulling the bright purple fabric clue out of her saddlebag. As expected, Rarity was busying herself with creating her next masterpiece. Trixie watched her for a moment, transfixed. She then remembered why she was there and cleared her throat.
Rarity looked up and smiled, "Hello, Trixie dearest. What is it that you need?"
"I was wondering if you knew anything about this beautiful fabric I found. I'm sure you would, since you are Ponyville's premier designer!" replied Trixie. She placed the fabric on the table as Rarity approached wearing a pair of glasses. She took the fabric daintily between her white hooves, closely inspecting the fabric.
"Why, where ever did you find this? It is imported from Saddle Arabia. I used something just like it for a dress I sent to a close friend in Manehatten!" Rarity exclaimed, retuning the fabric to Trixie.
"A friend of mine gave it to me. I have to go now, but I am extremely grateful for your help. Thank you, Rarity." replied Trixie, offering the purple maned unicorn before dashing off towards the train station. She had to find the next clue quickly if she wanted to deliver the letter on Father's Day.

I'm fairly happy with this chapter, and where I'm taking this story. I would love to have more feedback about how I'm doing! Oh, as much as I hate to spoil, the mystery stallion is canon to a point. The name is not, but his appearance on the show is what made me choose him. Just the timing of when fits in perfectly with my story. So, I would love if you guys told me why you loved/hated it! Thanks aplenty.
Trixie paused. Here she was, rushing off to the train station, without even thinking of telling Dusky Hex or packing more supplies. She didn't even have enough bits to but a ticket! She turned around and started trotting to her mobile home. It took her five minutes to get there, and she knew that a certain pink mare was throwing a party with another certain unicorn colt. Said unicorn colt's mother huffed in exasperation. It was past Dusky's bedtime, and he knew that. She unlocked the door with the key and opened the door.
Trixie called out from the entryway, "Pinkie, Dusky?" Two heads appeared from the kitchen. Both faces were stuffed with sugary goodies. Pinkie Pie grinned through her mouthful of food, and Dusky Hex knew he had been caught red hoofed.
"What is it, Great and Powerful Trixie?" asked. Pinkie, using her stage name. Trixie blushed a little, Nopony has called her that since she started talking like a normal pony, which was a long time ago.
"Nopony calls me that anymore, Pinkie. Anyways, I came to tell you two that I'm going on a trip to Manehatten. I'll be back in a couple days." replied Trixie. She hoped that she could bring the mystery stallion, if she could find him that is, back to Ponyville with her to meet her son. Anything for her son.
"Mom, can Pinkie come with us?" he asked, making an angelic face.
Trixie shook her head and answered, "Dusky, I'm going alone. Pinkie Pie is going to babysit you. I have to go now, but remember, Mommy will always love you." She gathered the money and left, a small amount of tears escaping her eyes. This would be the first time she has ever left him for more than a day. It's a big step for any mother to take, but with her head held high, the light blue maned mother made her way to the train station. There would be a train leaving for Manehatten soon.
When Trixie got on the train, she knew it would be a whole before she got to her destination, so she decided to sleep for the ride. She would make it there by morning, and would be fully rested. As she slept, Trixie dreamed of meeting the mysterious stallion and taking him home to an overjoyed Dusky. Her family would be whole and everything would be perfect. Trixie knew that she shouldn't feel like that. That stallion RAPED her for Celestia's sake. But something in the back of her mind told her that it wasn't so. That soemthing was missing from the puzzle. No matter how hard she tried to figure it out, she couldn't. Hours passed as she slipped between concious and unconscious. When the whistle snapped her to attention, it was signaling their arrival at Manehatten. The city of fashion, slums, and that strange accent that nopony could call anything but Manehattenite. She firmly latched her saddlebags to her back and walked out into the bustling city. She looked around for any clues, but nothing immediately caught her purple eye. Using her magic, she levitated the first clue out of her saddlebags. The purple glittery fabric reminded her of somepony. She pondered over it. She felt like the answer was all around her.

Truth be told, this chapter felt a bit rushed to me. Anypony feel the same? I like how I've presented it so far though. All opinions will be greatly appreciated. To all reading this, I'm planning on starting another story, and the idea of it seems promising. I have tons of ideas that I can't wait to share with you guys! So, I'm sure after I finish this (probably not anytime sooon) that I will start with that story.
