Chapter 6 - Equestria
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI stay next to her body for a while; I can’t believe she ended it because she loved me… Why didn’t I even notice? I thought she was just a friend, yet she loved me, all this time. I reach over her side and spot her razor blade, I don’t know why, but I am compelled to end it, too.
I pick up the razor and stare at it for a while, while still crying. After a few minutes of staring, I decide I have to end it, too. I don’t bother with a note, I grab the razor blade and bring it to my wrist, and I look away as I can’t bear to see this happen. I quickly move my hand across my arm, letting the blood gush from my major artery, fumbling around I put the razor blade in my other hand and slice my other wrist. Then, with the little strength I have left, I wrap my arms around Lucy and give her a kiss on the back of her neck, whispering into her ear; “I’m coming, Lucy, I’m coming for you.”
I lay there, while the blood slowly leaves my body, covering the sheets and both I and Lucy. My vision eventually starts to go, and my eyes become heavy, after a while, all I see is blackness, then a sudden tap on my leg.
I open my eyes to see Death again. He’s standing over me, wearing the same attire as he was before, but he isn’t speaking, he’s just staring at me. I look down at my wrists and notice they have healed, looking around, I notice I am again in the same type of forest as I was before, like a memory coming back to my mind again after it was lost. I stand up quickly, but Death does not speak to me this time. He sets his gaze and walks along the cobbled road, not making eye contact. I look up at death, but he doesn’t look back, “Is something wrong, Death?”
“You know what’s wrong, Mark. In fact, if you weren’t an anomaly, you would be reincarnated at a beetle or something like that.”
“D-Do I still get to choose?”
Death sighs, then after a few seconds, he brings his head back up, “Yes, you do.” He suddenly stops, and I look ahead of me, I see the cottage we were in before. “We’re here, but this time you do not need to eat the food, you should have died last time, anyway.”
“I take it as that’s why I am an anomaly?”
“Yes, now where would you like to go?”
“May I ask where a friend is?”
“If you’re talking about Lucy, then she is fine. She is waiting for you, and she will join you in your new life.” I feel a buzz of excitement, but cut short by Death as he raises a hand, “However, your mind will be wiped, and you shall not remember this place again, just like usual, and you will not remember any of your old lives again. You may recognize her when you get there, but I wouldn’t count on it.”
“Okay, do I just think of where I want to go?”
“Yes, now step through the door.”
I turn around and look at the open door and the bright white light inside it. I turn to face Death once more, but he’s no longer there. I turn and look at the door, and walk inside, allowing the light to engulf me; I keep one thought and one though alone on my mind. ‘Equestria’.

“AGGHHHH!” I fall to the ground, hitting my head. I slowly rise up, rubbing my head with a hoof. At first it feels new to me, but then I feel a sharp pain in my mind, images flashing in front of me, text, scripts, history flowing through my mind as every second goes by, I feel I am learning new things all over again.
After a few minutes of the pain and images rushing through my head, I try to stand up, but I can’t seem to get the hang of it for some reason. Just trying to stay on all fours is hard, I keep trying and trying until eventually, I manage to stay up. I am about to take a step forward when a pink blur comes shooting towards me, tackling me to the ground, which I just tried to stand up on for a long time.
“Hi, what’s your name? How come I haven’t seen you here before? Are you new? OH! You’re one of the new ponies to come to Ponyville, aren’t you?! I bet you are!”
Without thinking, I push the pink mare off of me and start galloping down the hill. I am amazed at how I couldn’t stand a minute ago, but now I’m galloping, that’s real progress.
I keep galloping down the hill, trying to pick up speed, but the pink pony just keep bouncing along close to me. I rush through the Ponyville market and through some sort of gates; I rush up the other hill and spot a cave of some sort. I quickly rush inside and hide from the crazy pink mare. I poke my head outside to look down the hill, and I spy the same pink mare bouncing along up the hill, I assume looking for me. I decide to wait it out in the cave, but from what I could call day, it instantly turns to the night and a moon pops up out of nowhere and stays in the middle of the sky. For some reason I am amazed, but I feel I shouldn’t be, like I’ve seen it all happen before.
After what I would only say is thirty minutes of waiting, I take a step outside, but the moment I do, it starts to rain. I cower and run back inside of the cave, petrified of the weather; I curl a wing around me, and shake, holding my hind legs close to my chest, in the fetal position.
