Chapter 1

Diamond Tiara trotted alongside her friend Silver Spoon as her eyes searched the booths at the Rainbow Falls Trader Exchange for an item that met her expectations.

"Di, how about that one?" Silver Spoon asked, pointing her silver hoof at a frilly pink tutu skirt.
Diamond Tiara looked at the tutu then turned back to her friend with a disgusted look on her muzzle, "Silver Spoon! I am not three years old!" She then rose her muzzle into the air and closed her eyes.

Her eyes opened up as soon as she felt something hit her in the face.
As they opened, she soon realized that she had ran into a flag poll.

Diamond Tiara growled as she turned around and walked away from the poll, glaring harshly at Silver Spoon every time a giggle escaped her muzzle.

Soon enough she had caught up with Silver Spoon and was once again walking alongside her silver friend.

"Look, Silver Spoon! The princess!" Diamond Tiara whispered, grinning like a little filly.
The other filly squealed and whispered back, "I know! She's like, so pretty."

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon both trotted over to the throne where Princess Cadence had sat down, monitoring the ponies at each of the booths.

"Hello, princess!" Silver Spoon said, grinning.

Princess Cadence looked down at the fillies and smiled kindly, "Hello you two. Need help with a trade?" she asked.

"No thanks, we just were wondering what it was like to be a princess!" Diamond Tiara continued to grin.

Cadence giggled and smirked, "It's not anything special like in the movies," she said. "But it is quite fun to attend special events."

"Do you think I could ever become a princess?" Diamond Tiara asked, looking up at Cadence with big, curious, eyes.

The princess looked at her and winked, "I honestly don't know. But I do know that to become a princess, you must be gracious, caring, and smart."

Diamond Tiara stuck her tongue out in disgust, "Gracious? Caring? Nevermind! I do not want to be a princess anymore."

The princess frowned at the pony, then returned her glance to the booths at the exchange.

Silver Spoon tugged onto Diamond Tiara's hoof, "Come on, Di! We should be trading, not talking!"

The filly nodded and began to trot alongside her friend, eyeing the booths.

"Oh my gosh! Diamond Tiara, look!"

Diamond Tiara's purple eyes moved to where her friends' hoof was pointing, soon seeing two friendship necklaces with pink candy hearts and a ruby heart gem in the center.

"Perfect, right?" Silver Spoon said.

Diamond Tiara looked at her friend with a grin, "What did you bring to trade?"

The other filly turned her head to the saddlebag on her flank and opened it with a hoof.

"An old raggedy ann doll, a knitted sweater, a mood necklace, and a set of markers."

Diamond Tiara looked at her silver friend in disgust, "You knit?"

"It's something to do in my free time," Silver Spoon mumbled, lowering her head to the ground to hide her blush.

The two fillies then trotted over to the booth, their eyes widening when they saw who ran the stand.

"Twist?!" They both shouted in surprise.

"Hi guyths." Twist said, waving a hoof at the two. "Want tuh trade?"

Diamond Tiara pointed a hoof at the necklaces that sat on a pile of cookbooks, "How in Equestria did you manage to get this?"

Twist smiled weakly, "I made it myselth. It was thupposed to be for me and Apple Bloom but she hangths out with Scootaloo and Thweetie belle now." She pointed a hoof at the little pink candy hearts, "Thith is hardened candy," she then pointed a hoof at the ruby red gem in the center. "Thith is a carved gem I found in a forest while hunting for flowers."

Diamond Tiara shook her head slowly, "Okay, that's nice. What about a mood necklace for both of them?"

Twist shook her head, "No thanks." She then took a glance at the saddlebag on Silver Spoon's flank and saw a piece of red yarn and a baby-food stained light yellow hoof sticking out. "Ith that a raggedy ann doll?"

Silver Spoon scoffed, "Why would you want a raggedy ann doll? Don't you know that they are for little foals?"

Twist blushed a bit and then straightened her glasses with a hoof. "I really like dollths."

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon both burst out into laughter. "Seriously?!" Silver Spoon asked, wiping a tear from her eye.

"Yep! I conthider myselth a collector." Twist answered proudly.

Silver Spoon ignored the answer and said, "Fine, I'll give you my raggedy ann doll for the two necklaces."

Twist grinned, then picked the necklaces up with her mouth and handed them over to Silver Spoon.

Silver Spoon used a hoof to open up the saddlebag once again and reached in to grab the raggedy ann doll, then threw it forcefully onto the pile of cookbooks.

Twist quickly dusted the doll off and placed it behind the stand.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon began to trot away from the stand, before hearing Twist say;
"Finally I found one of the the rareth raggedy ann doll tuh complete my raggedy ann collecthun!"

The two fillies stopped walking, causing a few older ponies to crash into them.

"Did she just.. rare?" Silver Spoon whispered to her friend.

"Yes, Silver Spoon. Yes she did."

"We're going back to her booth, aren't we?" Silver Spoon asked.

"Yes, Silver Spoon. Yes we are." Diamond Tiara answered before trotting backwards, towards Twist's booth.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon casually walked up to the booth and pretended to admire the cook books and candy canes that laid on the table that was covered in a red and white picnic blanket.

Twist eyed the other two fillies suspiciously, "What are you guyth doing?" She asked them, tilting her head.

Diamond Tiara smiled, "We heard something about that raggedy ann doll that we gave you being rare, we just wanted to maybe hear more about it, hmm?"

Twist smiled sheepishly, then reached back under the booth and grabbed the raggedy ann doll and set it on the table in front of her.

"Ooooh, I can totally see the vintage-ness..." Silver Spoon lied, pretending to admire the doll.

Diamond Tiara nodded her head, then asked, "So, Twist, what makes this raggedy ann doll so vintage?"

Twist pointed at the flower-print dress that the raggedy ann doll was wearing, "Thith ith a rare holiday edition for thspring. When they thold it, they only gave them out to thpecial memberths that thubscribed to the catalog."

Diamond Tiara shook her head slowly, "So, how much do these 'rare edition' dolls usually go for?"

"About thixty biths, depending on who your thelling it to."

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's eyes widened, "Sixty bits?!" Silver Spoon asked in disbelief.

Twist shook her head, and Diamond Tiara raised an eyebrow at her. "Are there really ponies who would pay that much for a doll?!"

"Yep! Crazed collectorths who want to complete their collecthun will do juthst about anything to get their hoofths onto one of these dollths!" Twist responded joyfully.

Diamond Tiara and SIlver Spoon both looked at each other for a moment, then turned back to Twist and Silver Spoon said, "Could you excuse us for a moment, Twist?"
Twist shook her head and the two ponies both walked at least ten feet away from Twist's booth so that she could not hear them.

"We should totally get her to trade back, Di!" Silver Spoon whispered to her friend.

"Are you crazy? She wouldn't trade back with us considering the thing she got was 'rare'. We need a better plan."

The two fillies then both began thinking, until their thoughts were interrupted when a tall pink mare accidentally bumped into them.

"Oops, I'm sorry! I was busy admiring the booths that I didn't see you there!" Princess Cadence apologized to the fillies, then continued walking forward.

Diamond Tiara smirked evilly, "Silver Spoon, I think I have an idea."

"What are you telling me we can't trade back?!" Diamond Tiara shouted angrily.

"I'm sorry Diamond Tiara, but the rules are that only if both of the ponies agree to trade back they can do so." Princess Cadence told her, sitting in a throne and holding a gavel.

Twist picked at the ground with a hoof for a moment while saying, "I'm thowwy Diamond Tiara, I jutht really like the doll and without it I can't complete my collecthun.."

Silver Spoon made a pouty face then walked up to Twist and asked, "Isn't there anything that you would trade for the doll?"

Twist thought for a moment, then said, "Well.. I gueth that I would trade the doll for a hoof-knitted thweater.."

Diamond Tiara gave Twist a flat expression, "Really? Is that all? So you're telling me that you would trade a rare raggedy ann doll that would complete your creepy collection of dolls, for a sweater?!"

Twist smiled then said, "Yep! Winterths coming thoon, and I need a warm thweater to go out in the cold weather."

Diamond Tiara rolled her eyes then looked back to Silver Spoon, "'Spoon, you said something about having a knitted sweater earlier, right?"

Silver Spoon shook her head and opened the saddlebag on her back and took out the sweater that was gray and pink, "How about this sweater, Twist?"

Twist looked at it for a moment before saying, "Hmm.. thure!"

Diamond Tiara let out a sigh of relief, then watched impatiently as Silver Spoon and Twist exchanged the raggedy ann doll for the hoof-knitted sweater.

As soon as the trade ended, Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara happily trotted back to Ponyville with the raggedy ann doll.

"Di?"

"Yes, Silver Spoon?" Diamond Tiara responded happily.

"What exactly do we need with this?"

Diamond Tiara stopped walking right in the middle of the path.

"I... don't really know."

Author's Note

This is almost as badly paced as the actual episode..
I was in a hurry to finish it because it took over a week to finish. I'm a very lazy writer.
