Nightmares Have Returned

"Get behind me!" Harmony ordered quickly as the pegasus fell back behind her. She narrowed her eyes before using her magic to shoot at the cloud figures. Harmony took her eyes off the ponies for a moment to notice that the train had left the station and was picking up speed. "Get on the train, Midnight, I'll catch up!" she called behind her as she continued to shoot at the cloud ponies but they seemed to keep forming back into a pony.

Midnight's eyes looked up at the cloud ponies then over at the moving train, "I can't just leave you, I can help!" she snapped to the white alicorn.

"Go, I can handle them on my own!" Harmony said, now beginning to get frustrated as she kept shooting at the clouds.

Midnight's eyes grew wide and helpless but she knew she had to get on the train for the sake of the Crystal Empire. With a slight sigh she flew into the air and chased after the train, feeling like a bullet as she soared through the sky. When she was hovering over the train she let herself fall and landed squarely onto of the roof. The wind pushed at her as the train kept accelerating but she made her way to a hatch and opened it then jumped inside. Letting out a sigh of relief she walked down to the caboose of the train and looked out the end window, she could barely see Harmony but she could see the large, dark clouds hovering in the sky.

Harmony stepped back for a moment when she noticed that the clouds were transforming into real ponies. Vampire Bats? But those are Princess Luna's servants.... Her thought trailed off for a moment as the ponies became clear as to be bats.
