Fluttershy sat in her house alone. It was winter and almost all the animals were asleep or gone. Everypony else was busy. Twilight was being her egghead self reading books, Rainbow Dash was busy in the Wonderbolts, Pinkie was planning a party for Gummy (again), Rarity was filling in an order for Sapphire Shores, and Applejack was gathering food for the Winter, so what could she do?

She watched out the window as the snow fell onto the ground, when she heard her favorite mailmare come. She knew that when the mail came, there was always something to look forward to, Discord's letters.

She galloped towards her mailbox as she saw a dark red envelope that she knew was Discord's. She went inside to read the letter as she carefully opened the envelope.

Dear Fluttershy,

How's your day been? I've grown so exhausted with the two princesses nagging at me! It's been so lonely without my #1 friend. I was wondering that if you weren't busy that you could come to the castle and just go to dinner or something and watch a movie. If you are busy, I understand, but if you can, please notify me. I'll be looking forward to it!

Your Friend, Discord

After Fluttershy read the letter, she couldn't wait to reply as she grabbed the parchment to write a response.

Dear Discord,
I would be happy to go with you and have dinner and a movie. I've also been extremely lonely. I'd love to see you again.

Your Friend, Fluttershy

Discord waited for his reply when Princess Celestia came in and saw him sitting by the mailbox, waiting for the mail.

"What are you doing here Discord?" she asked, "Waiting for mail?"

He turned his head to see her standing there with her always smug smile. "I am just waiting for a reply. Now if you excuse me, the mailmare is here."

The ditzy little mare fell on her rear and slid on the floor until she hit Discord's tail that caught her.

"Thank you dear." he said as the mare nodded her head and flew away.

He read the sweet mare's reply and already got a reservation and looked for the perfect movie. What the draconequus planned was to show Fluttershy how he felt, so hooves crossed it will work.

He went straight to his paper and put up all information for his small crush.

The next day, Fluttershy had gotten all information for the "day out" and was told to wear something fancy. She kept thinking about what to wear when she decided that she should go to Rarity on her day-off.

She entered the Carousel Boutique to see the mare looking for inspiration for any type of new dress. "Rarity?"

Rarity turned her head to see the buttercream mare standing by the doorway, "What is it, Darling?"

"I was wondering if you could make me a fancyish dress?"

"What for?"

Fluttershy had forgotten that all of her friends HATED Discord, so she had to make up a lie.

"Oh! Well, I was planning on having a tea party with all the animals who stayed up in the winter and they want me to wear a fancy dress." She can't believe the guilt she felt when lying to one of her friends.

Rarity had a suspicious look on her face, but she shrugged it off, "Ok Darling! I'll have it ready by tomorrow!"

Fluttershy rushed to give her friend a hug for helping make a dress.

"Oh thank you so much Rarity!"

"No problem"

Fluttershy quickly got out off the room to go fix up her hair for tomorrow. Rarity watched her leave when she realized that ALL Fluttershy's animals were gone, so how could she have a tea party for some? Oh well.

The next day......

Fluttershy went to prepare for her "day out" and went to the spa. When she entered, she was greeted by Aloe and Lotus Blossom as they took in Fluttershy to do her mane.

Aloe asked, "Are you doing anything today?"

Fluttershy trusted Aloe and decided to answer, "I'm going to see Discord-"

"THE MASTER OF CHAOS!!!!" she dropped her brush as Fluttershy stared at her thinking she would've understand her, "I'm sorry, but what makes you like him so much?"

"Well......." She paused to think, "He is reformed and cares about me and my boring life. I always thought he was sweet with a soft side and he has the most handsome creature with a soothing voice..............." She trailed off, thinking about him.

"If I would say so, I think you like or even LOVE him."

She took a while to think again and discovered something. "I DO love him!"

"I knew it!!!" The second she said that, Rarity popped out go a mud bath to discover that she was not only lying to her, not only she was going out with DISCORD, but she has discovered that Fluttershy LOVES him.

Fluttershy gasped, "Rarity!! Are you okay with that?"

"Of course!!! It sounds so romantic," Rarity was just imagining it as a cute shipping. "I think I'll call your shipping Fluttercord!"

"Rarity!" she looks as if she was a Rule 63 of Big Macintosh. "I don't even know if he likes me back!"

Discord was in a tuxedo and couldn't wait as he crawled all over the walls, but then he realized that Fluttershy will not come for another 6 hours. It will be the longest time to wait in his life. (And he was in stone for 1000 years.)
