It was winter and almost all the animals were asleep or gone. Everypony else was busy. Twilight was being her egghead self reading books, Rainbow Dash was busy in the Wonderbolts, Pinkie was planning a party for Gummy (again), Rarity was filling in an order for Sapphire Shores, and Applejack was gathering food for the Winter, so what could she do? She watched out the window as the snow fell onto the ground, when she heard her favorite mailmare come. She knew that when the mail came, there was always something to look forward to, Discord's letters. She galloped towards her mailbox as she saw a dark red envelope that she knew was Discord's. She went inside to read the letter as she carefully opened the envelope. Dear Fluttershy, How's your day been? I've grown so exhausted with the two princesses nagging at me! It's been so lonely without my #1 friend. I was wondering that if you weren't busy that you could come to the castle and just go to dinner or something and watch a movie. If you are busy, I understand, but if you can, please notify me. I'll be looking forward to it! Your Friend, Discord After Fluttershy read the letter, she couldn't wait to reply as she grabbed the parchment to write a response. Dear Discord, I would be happy to go with you and have dinner and a movie. I've also been extremely lonely. I'd love to see you again. Your Friend, Fluttershy Discord waited for his reply when Princess Celestia came in and saw him sitting by the mailbox, waiting for the mail. "What are you doing here Discord?" she asked, "Waiting for mail?" He turned his head to see her standing there with her always smug smile. "I am just waiting for a reply. Now if you excuse me, the mailmare is here." The ditzy little mare fell on her rear and slid on the floor until she hit Discord's tail that caught her. "Thank you dear." he said as the mare nodded her head and flew away. He read the sweet mare's reply and already got a reservation and looked for the perfect movie. What the draconequus planned was to show Fluttershy how he felt, so hooves crossed it will work. He went straight to his paper and put up all information for his small crush. The next day, Fluttershy had gotten all information for the "day out" and was told to wear something fancy. She kept thinking about what to wear when she decided that she should go to Rarity on her day-off. She entered the Carousel Boutique to see the mare looking for inspiration for any type of new dress. "Rarity?" Rarity turned her head to see the buttercream mare standing by the doorway, "What is it, Darling?" "I was wondering if you could make me a fancyish dress?" "What for?" Fluttershy had forgotten that all of her friends HATED Discord, so she had to make up a lie. "Oh! Well, I was planning on having a tea party with all the animals who stayed up in the winter and they want me to wear a fancy dress." She can't believe the guilt she felt when lying to one of her friends. Rarity had a suspicious look on her face, but she shrugged it off, "Ok Darling! I'll have it ready by tomorrow!" Fluttershy rushed to give her friend a hug for helping make a dress. "Oh thank you so much Rarity!" "No problem" Fluttershy quickly got out off the room to go fix up her hair for tomorrow. Rarity watched her leave when she realized that ALL Fluttershy's animals were gone, so how could she have a tea party for some? Oh well. The next day...... Fluttershy went to prepare for her "day out" and went to the spa. When she entered, she was greeted by Aloe and Lotus Blossom as they took in Fluttershy to do her mane. Aloe asked, "Are you doing anything today?" Fluttershy trusted Aloe and decided to answer, "I'm going to see Discord-" "THE MASTER OF CHAOS!!!!" she dropped her brush as Fluttershy stared at her thinking she would've understand her, "I'm sorry, but what makes you like him so much?" "Well......." She paused to think, "He is reformed and cares about me and my boring life. I always thought he was sweet with a soft side and he has the most handsome creature with a soothing voice..............." She trailed off, thinking about him. "If I would say so, I think you like or even LOVE him." She took a while to think again and discovered something. "I DO love him!" "I knew it!!!" The second she said that, Rarity popped out go a mud bath to discover that she was not only lying to her, not only she was going out with DISCORD, but she has discovered that Fluttershy LOVES him. Fluttershy gasped, "Rarity!! Are you okay with that?" "Of course!!! It sounds so romantic," Rarity was just imagining it as a cute shipping. "I think I'll call your shipping Fluttercord!" "Rarity!" she looks as if she was a Rule 63 of Big Macintosh. "I don't even know if he likes me back!" Discord was in a tuxedo and couldn't wait as he crawled all over the walls, but then he realized that Fluttershy will not come for another 6 hours. It will be the longest time to wait in his life. (And he was in stone for 1000 years.) Author's Note This is my first story ever so please take that in notice and I will make it take place in winter. Tell me what you think and I'll write the next chapter even longer. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Date //-------------------------------------------------------// The Date It had finally been 5:30 and Discord immediately teleported to the train station. When the train made a complete stop, he took a good look at himself. He fixed his collar, stood tall, and held a single rose for her. Discord stared in awe at Fluttershy's beauty. She soft pink hair was put in a loose braid that drooped over her shoulder and her dress was a soft green that had small butterflies embroidered on the edges. To him, she looked absolutely perfect. "Hi Discord," her soft voice snapped him out of his trance as he continued to be enchanted by the sweet mare. "Hello," he tried to think of the best way to say you look beautiful. "You look pretty." Fluttershy blushed,"Thanks," She hid behind her braid, "You look handsome." Discord froze at this comment. Nopony had ever been interested in his looks, let alone admire his looks. He then remembered he had a reservation. Discord couldn't pronounce the name, he was never fond of the snootiness of Canterlot, so he just called it The Restaurant. "Let's go to the restaurant then," "Ok then" Once He thought Fluttershy didn't see him, he face-palmed himself. REALLY! I CALLED HER PRETTY!! STUPID!!! The two walked for about ten minutes when they were greeted by a waiter. "What can I do for you?" He twirled his fine mustache. "I have a reservation under Discord," The draconequus said. "Ok I see your reservation. Take a seat here." The earth pony pointed to a small table in the back of the restaurant. Discord realized they were placed in the back off the restaurant because the waiter thought that Discord's appearance would scare or disgust the customers and drive his business away. They sat down and ordered a glass of water. They sat in an uncomfortable silence for a couple minutes until Fluttershy said, "Why did you take me to such an expensive place?" "I just wanted to show how much I value your friendship, so I got a more expensive dinner," Discord replied. "Discord," Fluttershy took his paw in which he felt a chill run done his back. "I wouldn't care if we went out on a picnic. I love to always spend time with a friend, especially you." She tried really hard to not cry when she said the word friend. Discord sensed a strong emotion coming from her. Is it possible she feel the same? They were interrupted when a waiter came to their table. It was a different waiter though. This one is a mare. "What can I do for you...." She stopped and stared at Discord for a good couple seconds which made him uncomfortable. Then she asked, "Sorry! What can I do for you?" "Can I just have a daisy sandwich? I mean if that's okay with you." "Oh that's fine." She is much more nice than the others because she came from Ponyville too. "I don't want anything thank you." "Ok so just the sandwich?" The two nodded in agreement. "Just wondering," said the waitress. "How long have you been together?" The two blushed. They both liked eachother, but how could they know? "Can you believe her!" Discord chuckled nervously. Fluttershy just looked down. Discord saw her face and knew for sure what was happening. "Do you like me." She looked up. "Of course I do, you're my... friend." She again had trouble getting the word out of her mouth. "Not like that," He made a cotton candy cloud in the shape of a heart. "I mean like love me." Fluttershy blushed harder than ever until she just said, "Yes" She ran outside of the restaurant, embarrassed and cried. Discord ran after her and sat right next to her. "Guess what!" "What?" "I love you much more than you do me!" Fluttershy gasped and pounced on Discord for a hug in which he happily returned. "Would you still like to go to the movies?" "Actually," Fluttershy said "Can we go to your part of the castle and watch a movie there and maybe have a picnic?" "I only have my bedroom." "I'm not hearing a no." Fluttershy was starting to sound cocky. "Fine but only because it's you asking." In a second, they were teleported to the castle. Author's Note I don't know what happened. I just write what comes in mind. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Picnic //-------------------------------------------------------// The Picnic They went into Discord's room where there was a big television and a decent sized bed. Other than that, there wasn't even a chair and in placement of any space, the room was filled with books and scrolls. There was a small desk in the corner where Discord writes Fluttershy's letters. Fluttershy felt sorry for the lack of any of his chaotic fun. "I thought we should watch this one," Discord said as he held up the movie, Beauty and the Beast. Fluttershy realized how much the story related to them. She nodded her head as the set up a small picnic on the floor while Discord played the movie. Discord made the sandwich that Fluttershy wanted to eat while he got some cotton candy. They both ate their foods as they watched the movie. After they finished eating, Fluttershy and Discord slowly inched closer and closer to each other until they made contact. Fluttershy nuzzled her head into his fur, surprised at how soft it is. Discord put a blanket on top of them as they layer down. Fluttershy paid a lot of attention to the story as she compared it to her and Discord. "Discord," Fluttershy asked. "Does this mean we are a thing now?" Discord looked down and hoped that the mare would say yes to being his marefriend. "Do you?" "Sure," she replied. "I mean..... if you want to." Discord smiled mischievously as he pulled Fluttershy in for a kiss. The shy mare's eyes went wide. She had never been kissed by anyone, so the feeling felt odd, like something she wanted to do again. She slowly melted into the kiss till their lips parted. "Does that answer your question?" Fluttershy's face was absolutely red with her blush which made Discord laugh. "Why is your face so red? It looks like you've never kissed somepony before," He saw Fluttershy nod her head as he did a dramatic gasp."How could a mare as cute and adorable and sweet not be loved or kissed by anypony?!" Her blush calmed to a pink as she settled back onto Discord's back where she did a soft yawn. This caught Discord's attention as he picked up the mare with a sad expression on his face. "You're getting tired aren't you?" He asked."Are you going home?" "I don't want to leave you here being so lonely!" She protested."Besides I'm lonely too so can I stay for the night?" In an instant, Discord and Fluttershy were in his bed sleeping. "Discord!" Princess Celestia stormed down the hallway. She didn't see the drconequus at the last half of the day or dinner. She slowly walked into his room where she saw him and Fluttershy in bed. She gasped and was ready to yell at him, but she heard Fluttershy whimper and noticed that she was shivering. Celestia never gave Discord a cover for his bed. She watched as Discord woke up, but he didn't see Celestia and tried his best to wrap himself around his mare and tuck her in with his wing. She smiled at how cute Discord and Fluttershy looked snuggled up in that bed. Maybe She thought. I can let her stay a night or two. Author's Note I'm just having fun with this story and I will probably only write Fluttercord stories. Maybe a Cheese Pie one day, but until then, Fluttercord shippings, Fluttercord shippings everywhere!!!
