Chapter 1

After a stressful encounter, it’s natural for a pony to seek companionship and respite in the comfort of a friend. Nopony can keep frustrations, woes, and sadness bottled up inside herself, and a warm friend’s hold is a surefire way to help alleviate a tremendous burden.

However, this may not hold true when your truest friend is the cause of this trouble. And the meeting of a friend especially would not remedy any stress in the bizarre condition of Silver Spoon. It was a miracle that she even managed to make it back to Diamond Tiara in her current state.

She knew that when she agreed to this that it could only end terribly. Sneaking in to Canterlot Castle? Searching for a hidden treasure stash that belonged to Celestia herself? It was completely crazy, there’s no way she could pull something like that off. But still, she went in. All because of her best friend.

Silver wasn’t exactly the most fit pony, but she still had a degree of mobility that was lost to Diamond Tiara. If Silver Spoon had poor chances of success, Diamond’s were absolutely abysmal.

And why exactly did Diamond Tiara want her to make such a daring play? The answer was obvious. Ever since a certain article was run through Ponyville’s news, near everypony knew about Celestia’s guilty pleasures. She had a sweet tooth that was unrivaled, even to Diamond Tiara herself. Surely she had a stockpile of unparalleled sweets hidden somewhere in that massive castle of hers. Cakes, pastries, candies, chocolates, and more. She could part with just a hooful of it, right?

Silver Spoon wanted to say no. She let her friend know that this was completely ridiculous, that she would never do something so stupid. But Diamond seemed so earnest, she had the look in her eyes when she craved something with such intensity that she would do anything to have it. If Silver Spoon didn’t go in for her, Diamond likely would have attempted it herself. Silver could never allow her friend to do that to herself, she cared far too much for her to subject her to a bold fate like that.

Instead, the burden, and consequently the punishment, fell upon Silver. And what a fitting penance it was. With a heavy heart, filled with equal parts guilt and anger, she pushed open the door to Diamond’s abode, having been left open just a sliver for her return. It was the dead of night, Silver had no idea if her friend would still be awake at this hour. She wasn’t even sure if she wanted Diamond awake or not. On one hoof, it would mean she had some chance at chewing Diamond out, and getting help. But it also meant that Diamond would see her in her current unfortunate state, and she knew that wouldn’t go over well at all.

“Silver, you’re here! That took you foreeever, did you at least get anything?” Diamond’s voice spoke with hushed excitement, the overly large mare sitting in an equally large luxury chair in the living room opposite of Silver Spoon.

“You could at least pretend you’re happier to see me instead of treats. And no, I didn’t get anything. In fact there’s something very very important I need to ask from you.” Silver Spoon’s body was mostly obscured by darkness, the small candle lit near Diamond’s chair only allowing the sight of a faint silhouette.

Diamond Tiara was clearly visible, and clearly disappointed. “You didn’t get anything? But I even put off dinner for this, I’m starving!”

“Can you just listen to me for a second? This is serious!” Silver protested, standing firm in her position between the warm home and the cool outdoors.

Reclining back with her front legs crossed, Diamond shot a glare towards her companion, “Oh it can’t be that serious. You’re not even in some freaky dungeon cell like you said you would be. Everything is completely fine, exce-”

“No! Everything is not fine!” Silver Spoon interrupted.

“That’s what I was going to say! Everything is fine except you not bringing any of Celestia’s sweets home for me!”

Stamping on the ground, Silver Spoon’s hoof made a sound unlike any before. Her face was brought into light, frustration clear through her brown sheen. “Just listen to me for a second, I’m-”

“You’re chocolate!” Brimming with a smile of excitement that jumped straight past surprise, Diamond Tiara leapt from her seat. “Oh this is the best thing, why didn’t you just tell me you had this planned to begin with?”

“Because I didn’t plan any of this! Princess Celestia did this to me when she caught me in- Diamond! Can you please not poke me like that?” The sugary mare pushed one of Diamond’s hooves away from her chest, that larger earth pony wasting no time in rushing to examine Silver Spoon’s form.

“Are you milk chocolate? Ooo, I really hope you’re dark chocolate. And not any of the cheap kind, real gourmet chocolate, the stuff that you can only import!” Diamond Tiara paced around Silver Spoon with a level of enthusiasm that betrayed her weight, looking her over from head to hoof with a glint in her eyes.

Understandably less energetic, Silver Spoon tried to scoot away from Diamond’s advances, not entirely sure she’d be able to restrain herself. She always had terrible problems with self-control. “Di, you’re kind of creeping me out. Can you please just sit over there, away from me, so we can talk about this?”

“Sure thing!” Diamond Tiara spoke with the widest of smiles, pulling Silver Spoon into the den with her. “We can talk alll night, it’ll be great! Geez, you’re really cold. But don’t worry, we’ll fix that!”

“I don’t think that’s a very good idea. I have no idea how I even am a chocolate pony… And I don’t really want to do anything that sounds particularly dangerous.”

“Oh settle down already, you act like this is so terrible!” Grinning like a madmare, Diamond pushed her friend down onto a lavish divan, seating her onto her haunches. “If anything, this is a blessing! Don’t tell me you haven’t had fantasies like this before.” Grinning sultrily, the pink pony dragged a warm lick against Silver Spoon’s nose. This was enough to prove that Silver Spoon’s body wasn’t as solid as it let on, the chocolate over her nose softening and clogging her nostrils with that one delicate show of affection.

“Di! I said not to!” The younger mare’s voice came off congested, which was no surprise given her now plugged nose.

“No you didn’t, you didn’t tell me not to do anything!” Diamond retorted, licking across her lips. “And it doesn’t matter anyways, since you are absolutely delicious!” Tiara placed a hoof on the furniture beside her sweet friend, a little too close for comfort.

“What do you mean it doesn’t matter? Ugh, I knew you would be no help. I’m going to go outside and figure this out, it’s way too hot in here anyways.” With a huff, Silver placed one of her own hooves again Diamond’s side in a foolish attempt to try and move her.

“Come on, stop being so sour. This is probably the best thing that’s ever happened to us! Shouldn’t we enjoy it before it wears off?”

“I don’t even know if it will wear off! I’m not going to risk being eaten by anypony in the meantime, so please stop looking at me like that!”

Diamond Tiara directly ignored that command, instead motioning to take Silver Spoon’s hoof towards her mouth. Without allowing anytime for reflex, the plump mare took a rather oversized bite off the front end of it, closing her eyes to savor the taste.

Unsurprisingly, Silver Spoon screamed and pulled her leg back. It didn’t pain her at all, but it was still rather unsettling to observe her edible nature. “Diamond!” She cried, “Stop it right now, this is crazy!”

Diamond gave a sort of glare to Silver, unable to respond due to her spoonful of chocolate.

Groaning, Silver Spoon shifted to pull herself over the edge of the sofa. Diamond Tiara had other plans, and held her down with both of her front hooves. There was a deal of squirming and struggling to escape, but after having swallowed her first bite, Diamond managed to calm Silver’s spirits.

“Okay, I won’t eat you! Just please stop being so moody over all of this?”

Silver wriggled with a bit of a huff, having ended up on her back as a result of her efforts, Diamond Tiara’s front half pinning down her torso while her back hooves remained on the ground. “Do you promise?”

“Of course I promise! I’d never hurt you.” Diamond looked down to her friend with a genuine smile, unfitting of the awkward position she held.

Sighing, Silver nodded once. “Fine, fine. But can you at least get off of me? I feel like I’m going to melt.”

Diamond pulled herself up with no trouble. Or, at least, she would have liked to. Silver Spoon’s chocolate was sticky, and a great deal of her belly stuck to Diamond’s as she stood above her.

“C-careful!” Silver urged, her stomach mostly intact, if not for a sloppy concave shape.

“Sorry, I didn’t know you’d make such a mess!” Diamond said, dropping back onto the floor to sample some of the dessert that was plastered over her front side.

Appalled beyond belief, Silver scrambled to sit upwards again, greatly disoriented by the changing weight. “I thought you said you weren’t going to eat me!”

“I’m not!” Diamond replied after licking some of the chocolate off her hoof. “I’m not even touching you!”

“But that’s part of me! You said-Whatever! This is absolutely ridiculous, we need to go get Celestia to reverse it before it gets any worse!”

Diamond Tiara couldn’t contain a giggle, “How will it go worse? I think it’s going great!”

“I could melt into a puddle! Or you could end up trying to bite my ears off like some sort of chocolate bunny! I don’t know, but something is clearly going to happen!”

Chuckling again at the thought of a bunny shaped Silver Spoon, Diamond waved her free hoof dismissively. “Calm down, you have my word that if you end up unable to go see Celestia yourself, I’ll make sure you get there.”

“Carrying me in your stomach isn’t exactly the best way to get an audience!”

“You’re being a drama queen again! It’s not like I can even fit all of you in there anyways. Not all at once, at least.” Diamond Tiara wiped her hoof down on some of her fur, mussy throughout.

“So what exactly do you have planned?” Silver Spoon said with a scowl.

“Well I can always just melt your head and put it in a bottle! Wouldn’t that work?” Diamond asked with sincere curiosity.

“No, that’s just as ridiculous as everything else tonight!”

Diamond Tiara sighed, and scooted closer to her friend. “Can you just trust me? Everything will work out. We’ll see Celestia in the morning, but right now we should have some fun together.” She playfully tapped her hoof on Silver Spoon’s nose, careful not to dent it in anymore than her lick already had.

Silver Spoon looked to her dear friend in silence, but her facade dropped shortly. She cared so much for Diamond Tiara, and despite the strangeness of the entire night, she couldn’t say it was entirely unenjoyable so far. “Alright, alright. Thanks for not devouring me on sight, I guess.” Silver Spoon said with her own type of appreciation.

Diamond Tiara smiled warm as ever, and leaned in just enough to give Silver Spoon a gentle and affectionate kiss.

And what an opportune time it was to make up. Princess Celestia hadn’t planned on keeping Silver Spoon in her chocolate form for any longer than a few hours, fully intending to return to Silver and Diamond’s home to reverse the change after she had learned her lesson. It was a serious crime, but Celestia always had an unorthodox sense of justice.

The princess glided to the front window of Diamond Tiara’s home just in time to witness that tender moment of bonding between them. Even she thought it was rather adorable, for a captured criminal. Giving it a brief bout of thought, she elected to return to her castle and allow the two mares their privacy.

They were clearly making the best of it.
