"Open your eyes, little one."
Pinkamina's eyes sluggishly cracked open. Her eyes greeted gray stoned floor as cock roaches raided the ground.
"Lovely," the voice hissed. "Just look at those blue eyes. So dazzling."
"Where am I? And why can't I move?"
The pink pony rapidly flailed her hooves, chains clenched their mouths on the mare's captive legs.
"Lemme go! LEMME GO!!!!" Pinkamina violently shrieked like a girl terrified in a horror flick. Fruitless bucking and hollering humored the voice.
"Silly girl, your cries are futile No one can hear you but yourself and I."
A long nail slowly unveiled itself from the darkness; it brushed aside the pony's straight hair.
"What a face! It oozes with sorrow. I adore it!"
Pinkamina's face shined with rage. She lightly gritted her teeth, and spat at the faceless villain. His giggle signaled his reaction.
"I am sick of this! Who are you and why am I here?"
"So many questions indeed. Perhaps you should ask yourself that. Why are you here?"
"How am I suppose to know?" the mare stated furiously. "You brought me here."
The voice oh so enjoyed a laugh.
"Yes and no," he said. "Think about it. Dig down in your deepest memories. You can piece the puzzles together with your little noggin."
Memories.....I wish to not remember any of it.
"I refuse," Pinkamina muttered.
"Hmm?"
"You heard me! I refuse!"
"Denial is more like it," the mysterious being's nails poked Pinkamina's chin. He carefully groped the nail from his prisoner's chin down to her neck.
"There is a mare behind those bitter eyes. An impostor if you will."
Pinkie Pie.
"You're wrong," Pinkamina growled. "She is not an impostor. Pinkie is the real me."
"Is that so?"
"Quite so....I just....know it...."
Water rustled in the pony's eyes.
"I just know it...." she choked.
"Those tears of yours confirms your lies."
The mare's wet eyes popped.
"Shut up! You don't know anything!"
"You like to challenge me?" the voice pulled away his nail. The chains' mouths dropped Pinkamina. Cold pain from the floor pounded her stomach. She wobbled back on her feet, and her flat hair covered her left eye. Water stained her right eye.
"Come, my dear."
An opening door cringed Pinkamina's ears. White light shortly after blinded her eyes. Physical pain chewed out the poor girl.
"Follow the light. I will show you the truth."
Hesitance tried its hardest to pull away Pinkamina from the entrance, but her body forced her legs forward like a puppeteer dictating his creation.
I know what's real.
I'll show him.
"Pinkie Pie! Breakfast's ready!"
The mare gasped, thrusting her neck from the puffy pink pillow. A baby alligator rocketed from Pinkie's belly and splatted on the floor. He horridly shook, curling into a little scaly ball.
"Omigosh, Gummy! I'm so sorry!" She leaped out of the bed, hurrying to her mini reptilian friend. Gummy's cheeks pressed against Pinkie's hooves; she then hugged the little animal like a teddy bear.
"Thank goodness," she whispered. "I had the worst dream. It was horrible, Gummy!"
It was just a dream, Pinkie.
Just.....a dream.
"Pinkie, dear!" The pancakes will get cold," Mrs. Cake's motherly voice soothed Pinkie's ears. Scent of warm pancake syrup tickled the pony's nostrils, teasing the salivating taste awaiting downstairs.
"Coming, Mrs.Cake!" Pinkie's mouth formed a crescent. She tossed Gummy on her back and opened the door. Pinkie jovially skipped down the steps; her mind wondered through a vortex of emotions. Happy songs wrote themselves, soon to be randomly sung by Pinkie in the future. Sugary treats swirled in her imagination. Cakes, cookies, brownies, milkshakes, and all other forms of desserts bounced about in her mind. A child's wonderland is an accurate representation. The most important aspect of Pinkie's being rested peacefully in not only her brain, but her heart: her best friends.
Twilight Sparkle.
Fluttershy.
Rarity.
Applejack.
Rainbow Dash.
The Elements of Harmony. All chained together in unison, an unbreakable bond. Pinkie Pie cherished her friends; she adored witnessing the smiles on their faces, their appreciation to her greatest talent.
Making others smile is Pinkie's passion.
"But not Pinkamina's"
The smell of Mrs.Cake's pancakes vanished, breaking the pony out of her daze. Darkness played their roles as walls, and torch-less fire dimmed light revealing tiny segments of the downward. Each step lead to another step as if it was infinite.
"Wh-what is this? I thought it was all a dream." Pinkie Pie tip toed down the steps.
"You're still in the dream, silly girl. You never woke up to begin with," the voice chuckled.
"Why are you doing this to me?!" Pinkie shrieked. "I wanna go home! NOW!"
"So demanding," the voice said," but not yet. You need to finally realize. Accept the truth."
"I know what's reality, and your mind games aren't a part of it!"
"Ohhhhhhh! Very feisty! You're doing good! More...your true self is showing."
"I'm done with you! We're going home! Right, Gummy? Gummy?"
She darted at her back. Gummy vanished. "Gummy? Gummy!"
"You mean your little friend? Up here!"
Pinkie gasped. "Gummy!!!!"
Two long nails lifted the baby alligator to the darken sky. He flailed his tiny arms and legs, trying to reach his owner. Pinkie's eyes watered while hopelessly leaping to her unobtainable friend.
"LET HIM GO!!!!"
"Oh I will," the voice hummed, "unless...."
"Unless what?!" Pinkie stomped her hoof.
Slowly, the voice chuckled menacingly.
"You should know. We've been through this, Pinkamina."
Pinkie growled.
"Don't....call me that...."
"Sadness and anger go hand in hand eh?"
"........."
Tears clogged Pinkie's words.
"How about this? Let's make a deal. I tour you you through all the places I want you to venture, and I'll return your precious Gummy when we are through. So......whaddaya think?"
Pinkie stood silently.
"What will it be? Decide, or you won't get anywhere. Take your time. I'm in no hurry."
".....deal...."
"Excellent!"
The pony sighed.
"Just make it quick."
"As fast as I can, Ms. Pie."
I have no choice.
