Chapters 1: A Beautiful Day, Beautiful Ambush
It was a beautiful day, especially for 2 special someponies. Button Mash had just taken Sweetie Belle to one of the more fancier restraints in Ponyville (Mainly due to Rarity's request) , and they were going to finish it all off with a sleepover at Carousel Boutique. Upon arrival, Rarity answered the door. "Come on in, darlings!" Rarity said, in her calm, soothing voice. They went up into Sweetie's room, where they decided what to do.
"So Button, now what do we do?" She looked at him, expectantly.
"Well, what is the time? As this is the first time my mom let me go on a date, I have to go by her rules and she says I have to go to bed at 10:00." Button stated. As rare of an occasion as it is, Love Mash LETTING her son go on a date, there were still rules. Sweetie Belle knew this all too well.
"Well, it's 8:30. We still got time! How about some Minecraft?" She answered, the idea coming in her mind. But Button had thought up of a way to make it better.
"Better yet! How about MODDED Minecraft? I got FeedTheBeast up and I've added the Skyrim mod to the Horizons modpack." Button exclaimed, explaining his idea.
"Ok!" Sweetie exclaimed back. The booted up the Horizons modpack and added the Skyrim mod to it. They then proceeded to start LAN. Button dressed in anything he could find in the bonus chest. He was able to muster a white leather chest plate with an iron sharpness II sword. Sweetie, on the other hoof, had cheats and gave herself a diamond helm, boots, and pic. They went on and proceeded to start getting different mobs to morph into. Sweetie Belle gave Button Mash creative, and he made himself OP (overpowered). They used a 2-block sized flying ship with engines underneath to get around. They had fun killing creepers and mastering are magica 2. But as it hit 10:00, they knew better than to disobey Love, so they gave each other good-night pecks and went to sleep.
Button stared into the stars, in a dream. Luna had intertwined Button's and Sweetie's dreams. They lay on a grassy hill, looking up into the night sky. They cuddled close, occasionally kissing and holding each other. It was a dream come tr- All of the sudden, the stars faded. Luna, behind them, was suddenly enveloped in shadow. The ground below them went black. They were startled, as Sweetie hid behind Button, and the colt turned around to see what the heck happened. They saw Luna, but not the same one that was there. It was shadowy, and looked as if she was crying. Suddenly, she said in a raspy voice, Luna said "Wanna make your game a reality?" Then a 'yes' and then a 'no' button appeared in front of them. Button Mash, knowing this would end badly if he said yes, he pressed the 'no' button. The, Luna appeared in front of them. It was a horrific sight. No eyes, therefore bleeding from the sockets, and her face distorted. She managed to make a deranged smile, and spoke "Alright..." before the dream ended. Both Sweetie Belle and Button Mash woke up. Sweetie, breaking down and crying, said "...What was THAT?!"
"I-I don't know..." Button stammered, almost as scared as her. He held her in her arms for a while, then looked out the window. "But whatever that was, It's over now." Hopefully he thought to himself. But it wasn't.
"BUTTON!" Sweetie Belle screamed, at the top of her lungs. He turned to see another horrid sight. Sweetie was getting carried away... By Luna? No. It was a black, misty skeleton. But Button knew what it was. That was a Wither Skeleton. Quickly, he attempted to headbutt it, but to no solution. Rarity walked up, only to her demise. The stone sword it was carrying swung, and chopped the base of her neck, killing her. "RARITY!" Sweetie cried again, seeing the corpse of her sister. This had already been the worst day of Sweetie's life. However, Button would never let this happen. He slid under it, but to only grabbed him, and attempted to decapitate him. But Button's turn, he dodged, grabbing the blade in his teeth, and swung, It had broken the base of the neck and a rib, causing the skeleton to fall over, the soul trapped inside free. Sweetie, however, did not take this well. She ran over to her sister's corpse, now silently letting out more tears than she ever had in her life. "R-Rarity....." Were her words, before going unconscious due to shock and sadness. Button looked at her unconscious form, and tried to get her downstairs. What he did not know is that he and Sweetie weren't going to be greeted by the downstairs of Carousel Boutique, but to a horde of Wither Skeletons, and the countryside of Falkreath.
Button wakes up, only this time in in a very comfy chair. He looked over to see people talking. One of the ponies looked back at him, and drew his sword.... With a hoof? He had a sort of bracelet on that let him hold a sword with a circular opening in the bracelet. In the other hand was a shield, held by the same thing, only the opening was in front. "You there!" He speaks, in a somewhat loud voice. The others turned around to look. One of the ponies was in a brown robe, another in a regal cape, and there was Rod and Nod. They approached me. The one with the unsheathed sword stepped aside, as the regal caped one went forward, smile on his face. "Hello, we have been waiting to talk to you. Now, before any of this starts, I shall introduce myself. I am jarl of this fair city. Who are you?"
"Button Mash."
"Well Button Mash, what has brought you here?" The jarl stood forward, a curious look on his face. But that was the thing. Button didn't know.
"... I don't know... That's the thing." Button stated, a bit more heavy hearted. Great. He was standing next to the jarl of a hold, and he couldn't even say what province of Tamneighel he was from, in this darn city.
"Sire! A dispatch of troops in Whiterun was sent to Riverwood! We think there might be an attack!" A guard rushed up to then, a worried expression was formed through his helmet. Great. He had no idea what to say, in this darn WAR-BOUND city. his day is going fine dandy.
"What? Well anyway, it appears we have pressing matters. But you ARE a skilled warrior. Here, we had our smiths forge some armor for you out of the Wither Skeletons you killed. It is the finest armor." Out came a black bone suit, where you could still see the bones stretching out, but melded together to fit Button Mash, and where there were lines in the armor, a purple aura came out. 'Oohhh, I get it. Wither armor is daedric armor! Wait, that means that is the best armor in the game right there!' Button exclaimed in his head. But following that, there came a Wither sword, one of the hoof bracelets to hold it in your hooves. Then a Wither shield, and it's respective bracelet. He put his gear on, and then he looked through a mirror. No longer was Button Mash standing there, but a tall black stallion, that looked like his ribs poked outward. although, there were engravings everywhere on the armor, and there was the purple aura flowing out in between the ribs and the rest of the armor. "now, there is a dragon alert. The Ender Dragon has destroyed Helgen, and we are now looking for an artifact called the 'Dragonstone'. Now, we believe it is in a dungeon called Bleak Falls Barrow, but it's flooded with puzzles that we can't understand and drauger. If you can retrieve it, then we can overlook your strange appearance. " The jarl finished. But then, Button realized what was important to him in his current scenario.
"Hold up. I need to go to the end, and find my marefriend." Button stated.
"Hold up... your marefriend died, went to the end, and you want to go after her? Unless you can find a way to chase the Ender Dragon back there, you have no chance. We may be able to help you once we know more about what is happening." The jarl finished, calmly, but with a tone of displeasure. Dead?
"No. A Wither skeleton took her. There were 8 back where I was, not 7. But if you can help me with it, I'll get the Dragonstone for you." Button calmly, swiftly stated. He was not in the mood to have to roll play his way, but he guessed he'll have to.
"So it is a deal?"
"Deal."
Sweetie rubbed her head, and looked up. She was in a warped cage, made of a black bone. She looked around, gaining consciousness, and stood up. She was in a sort of ragged robe. However, she was in a black, tall spire-looking thing, and she did not like it. Somepony in glass armor with a blue, flowing mane, and a blue coat, who was unlocking the door using what looked like a key with a skeleton face on the back. She recognized the mark of the night on her flank. "P... Princess Luna?" Sweetie muttered. Luna looked up from her work and saw Sweetie Belle conscious.
"Sweetie! Thank my sister you are ok. This was my fault for putting you and Button in here, now I will get you out. Currently, your parents think you and Button are dead. Your bodies in Equestria have stopped breathing..." Luna was able to say in her rushed, busy form.
"WHAT?" Sweetie stated, but not raising her voice, knowing that what Luna was doing required concentration.
"Do not worry, your colt friend is on his way. He is in Falkreath. Soon, he will meet Dovahkiin in Bleak Falls Barrow. You are in the End, or in regular Skyrim it is known as Sovinguard. Come child." Luna stated as she finished unlocking her bony cell. " have much to discuss." So Sweetie stepped out of her cell and towards Luna. but before she grasped her hoof in forgiveness, she needed an answer.
"You said this is your fault. Why are we here?" Sweetie said, pulling her hoof away.
"Yes, you do deserve the answer. Although this is a REALLY stupid answer, please do not hate me." Luna stated, fearing the filly's wrath once she knew the truth. But she told her anyways. Once Luna was done, Sweetie stood there stunned, blistering with fury.
".... I saw my sister get killed, and now my colt friend is risking his life to save me all because HE BEAT YOUR BUCKING TIME IN DEFEATING THE ENDER DRAGON?!?! WHAT THE BUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!??!?!" Sweetie Belle shouted, at the top of her lungs.
"well, and I was partly possessed by a Zargo-pony spell, but yeah." Luna said, hesitating to see Sweetie's reaction.
"...Fine, apology take-" Before she could take the hoof, Luna's horn glowed red. In that split second, she saw it again. The bloody, no-eyed Luna. But it was gone as fast as it came. Before she knew it, she shook Luna's hoof.
"Good, let's get going." Luna stated, a smile either from the apology or that she fell into her trap.
Rod, Nod, and an overpowered Button Mash made their way to Bleak Falls Barrow. They found Helgen, the smoldering town full of bandits and burning roofs. Along the way Riverwood, where they found out someone else had the same objective from Whiterun, so they picked up the pace. They weren't too far behind. They got to a bandit fort. Through the fort they went, button hacking and slashing, non able to pierce his armor. And dang did it feel good to bend those knees. They looted it, where Rod got a chest plate and Nod got a staff. We made out way up the small portion of mountain left. We had made it to Bleak Falls Barrow. Something didn't seem right though. Hordes of bandits. Slaughtered. They walked upon the corpses. Throughout the dungeon, they found the same results. Did the unknown warrior do this? They better be careful. Through corpses they went until they found a wounded frostbite spider. upon a single swing killing it, they found a man stabbed in a hallway. There was a golden claw of sorts with a pattern on the bottom. Around that area they found him. Standing next to a sliding stone door puzzle, he was a tall whit pegasus clad in full iron armor, with dual ebony war axes at his sides. he looked puzzled. Duh, that's what puzzles are for.
"Don't be shy, you NPC bandits. C'mere. Just a lil' closer." He said aloud. This shoved me. NPC? Wait.... This is some player playing the quest line! Oh, and he forgot to pick up the golden claw! "Sorry, but I'm not an NPC. I know your playing the storyline of Skyrim. But there's more to this that that. Let me through, Dovahkiin." Button stated, flat yet as calm as ever. This caused the hero to turn around and genuinely flinched. He threw the axes, which one reflected off the shield, one off the helmet. he realized the armor Button had, and backed into a corner. "H-H-Hey, I'm only a level 8 here. Let's be reasonable.... Hey, can you hand me the golden claw?" He nervously spoke up. "I need the Dragonstone. I was sent in here with my fillyfriend, and as you can see, I intend to get het back. I have a grudge with the Ender Dragon." Button stated. a bit more anger in his voice.
(Sweetie Belle's POV)
They ran. The familiar, yet now oddly realistic towers of obsidian forming above and beyond them. They arrived at the edge. This is where Luna acted up again. "Jump, and we will exit. Trust me. But you will see me again." Mistress of night said. Sweetie was puzzled. But before she could react, Luna grabbed her hoof. They jumped into nothingness...
Your mistress is smart, but she will not make it out as you have.....
"AAAAAAAAAAGHHH!!!!!" Sweetie Belle screamed at the top of her lungs. She woke in the hospital. Button was there, but in a weird state of unconsciousness. Along with the rest of Ponyville's fillies and colts. The nurse looked at her and beamed. "One of them woke up! Miss Rarity, come here!" The nurse smiled to her. Her sister looked around the corner in a wheelchair and a neck brace. "OH SWEET CELESTIA! Your OK!" Rarity exclaimed.
But he walked down the steps, he just stared. They were surrounded. But they did not kill him, or attempt very hard to. They lashed out, 4 swords going into each of Button's knees. He twitched, fresh blood coming from the wounds. They came close, and tried to take Sweetie. Oh no you don't! Button thought, as he threw the sword still in his mouth from the Boutique. However, this only caused 3 more to point swords at his throat. However, Button knew better. He used his hind hooves to buck 2 of the swords, took them both in his mouth, and mauled the armed and disarmed skeletons. Yet in the process he dropped Sweetie from his back. He looked behind him to see a skeleton touching Sweetie on the forehead. Button knew what would happen. "NO! YOU-" But that was all he was able to muster before his knees got the better of him when he tried to get over there. He watched in horror as a blue glow formed around the skeleton's hoof, and they vanished.
"They went this way!"
"You sure?"
"Positive." Then 2 stallions approached the area, and looked at Button.
"Looks like they've be-" Then they stared at the litter that once made up the 7 skeletons he mauled."You... How did you do that?"
"Not now! He needs to see the local medic. Do you know where Falkreath is?"
"Yes. I recommend you carry the young colt?" The stallion said, looking at the other.
"Th-They have Sweetie Belle..." Button was able to mutter, before he blacked out.
Button woke up with a yellow aura around him. The swords were taken out of his knees, and his wounds were now just bruises. He looked up at the pony making the yellow aura, who smiled at him. He turned on his side, and saw those 2 stallions. They both had brown manes, but one's coat was white, while the other's was black.
"I am Rod."
"And I am Nod."
"We are brothers working in the name of the god Stendar!"
"We hunt these vile Wither vermin!"
"We wil-"
"I get it." Button finished, regaining full consciousness. "Good to meet you Rod and Nod. Now, where are we?" Button said, looking at the surroundings. He looked around, and saw a scene taken straight out of Skyrim. The arched columns, the wooden houses. It looked alot like-
"Falkreath." They replied in unison. Suddenly, the picture of the horrid Luna in his mind grew into something else. It had armor. It had eyes, but they were eyes like knives. He didn't need to know the rest that he now saw in his mind Nightmare Moon. You miss sweetie Belle? Go find her in the End... she taunted, in his mind. Then the horrid thought spread, realizing what had happened. This was their minecraft modpack, in a Skyrim world. His newfound surrounding now were the essence of terror. He looked around more, his heart racing. The healer was about to stop him from screaming, but instead he blacked out again.
