The Bullied

The ponies surrounded me as they started to shout mean things. "What's with the antlers?" One shouted and grabbed me and tossed me against the wall. I fell to the ground as the laughter rang through my ears. I felt a hoof go to my eye.

"You little ugly blank flank." A unicorn named Strawberry SweetCakes, shouted and kicked me in my gut. I coughed up a bit of blood as I try to get to my hoof. The unicorn knocked me back down to my side. I didn't think of her as the bullying type but I guess you never know a pony.

"You don't even belong here. No pony wants you here, you are as good as dead." a pegasus said as he slammed me back into the wall. I got to my hoofs and ran and ran until I couldn't run anymore. I collapsed under a tree near a river. I coughed up a little more blood. I felt the tears stream down my cheeks.

"Why does every pony hate me?" I muttered under my breath. It's not like any pony was around to hear me. I see a pegasus coming in through the clouds a colt hits the ground with a smash.

"Aww stupid wings again. Oh I'm sorry did I interrupt anything" The grey pegasus with weird wings said. I get up and wipe my tears. I help him to his hoofs.

"Are you okay?" I ask the strange pegasus.

"Fine just fine I'm just trying to fly after such a long journey on my hoofs." he says.

"Where were you heading?" I ask him. He looked to me brushing himself off.

"To Ponyville." He said with a smile.

"I was just heading there, would you like to join me?" I offer.

"Sure. I have a friend who's a mechanic there he can fix my wings." He said and I look at him a bit confused. I start to walk off toward Ponyville but than I come up with an idea.

"I have a friend who could use her magic to fix your wings." I offer him.

"No thank you, my wings are specially designed and connected to my skeletal system one wrong move and I would never fly again." He told with a sad voice.

"Aww Its alright we're almost there." I told him.

"So what's your name?" He looks ahead toward Ponyville.I turn around and offer a hoof.

"Aurora Harmony. You?" I ask as he shakes my hoof.

"My name is Brave Heart." He said.

"Nice to meet you Brave Heart." I laugh. "I know a stallion named Brave Heart. He's orange and can shoot lava from his wings. He's pretty cool." I tell him.

"Really? I got my cutie Mark and my name when I escaped the Rainbow Factory." He says with a sad tone to his voice. I wonder what happen.

"Sounds interesting. I've never been." I say with a laugh.

"You never want to but keep your friend close because they might just go for your friend one day." He warns me.

"Never letting that happen." I say as my eyes grow wide.

"It's inevitable but when they do find me the ponies may look like this." He says as he pulls a picture of them out of his bag, I slowly start to back away fearing he is with them. "But don't worry as long as I'm here your safe" I nudged him softly. "Their the entire reason for my wings being taken from me and having to use these metal ones. But it's not all that bad I use these wing to protect those who can protect themselves." I curl into a ball on the edge of the town. "Don't worry I'm here and nothing is gonna happen when I'm around." I start to shake from fear. "Are you okay?" Brave Heart asks. I start to tear up, they come flowing out of my eyes. He nudges me gently. "Come on my friend will give us shelter for the night." I stand up and nudge him still crying.

He wiped the tears from my eyes with his cheek as we walk into town. I grab his hoof by accident. He blushes and so do I. "Oh ahem sorry sorry" He says. I look up at him and smiles, he can tell I'm blushing. "Well shall we go?" Brave said while he is still blushing.

"Y...yeah." I stutter. We walk into a black smith shop. I look up at Brave with worried eyes.

"Don't worry he won't mind company." He whispered. I nuzzle into his shoulder feeling scared. "Silver are you there? I need a repair." He wonders in. I stay behind Brave in fear.

"Is that you?" A pony asks and pony comes around the corner with claws up and a hot piece of steel in the claw. I slowly back into the wall. "Oh I'm sorry did I scare you?" He, the one Brave calls Sliver, asks as he takes off his claws. "OK so what seems to be the- oh my glob, What did you do?" Sliver came closer to Brave. I was still against the wall.

"It's okay." Brave reassured her. Tears well in my eyes as I start to cry. Brave stands me on my hoofs. "Aurora this is Silver, Silver meet Aurora." Brave Heart says. I offer my hoof nervously.

"H...hi, please don't hurt me." I whisper. Sliver laughs amusingly.

"Kill you my dear? I'm just a colt trying to make an honest living as a black Smith there's no need to worry." Sliver says. I wrap my hoof around Brave Heart and nudges my head close to him, listening to his heart. He holds me close with his bent and crumbling wing. I lean up and smile.

"Go get your wings fixed. I'll wait here." I tell him.

"Actually I'll need you to be there for comfort." He says to me.

"This process is a painfully big one and he'll need the support the wings are connected to his nervous system so yeah." Sliver said. I walk forward and hug Brave Heart. Silver unscrews the screws connected to Brave's back and he lets out a screaming cry. I grab his hoof with tears.

"It'll be okay shh." I say as the tears rush down my face.

"OK the worst parts over now we can fix them up and re-apply them back onto his body" Sliver said. Silver comes back with the new forged wings. "Here they are." Sliver said. Brave Heart had passed out from the pain and silver had begun to put them back into place. I hold his hoof as my tears hit his hoof. Brave Heart wakes up and stands to stretch his new forged wings.

"Now you see what I go through every day" Brave heart says. I am curled against the wall crying. "It's OK. I'm fine now see." He said as he flies up and down. I jump to my hoofs and wipes my tears,

"I was so worried." I said.

"It's okay, don't be" Brave said and I hugged him. He didn't even need a second to respond he hugged my back, I turn away and start to cough hard. Blood comes up in my fur. "Are you okay?" Brave asked worried. I coughed up some more blood.

"I got beat up before you found me." I told him.

"When and where?" He asked.

"In towns square." I cough harder this time, staining my arm in blood. "Just before you met me crying."

"How bad was it? Why didn't you tell me?" Brave questions. I cough even harder feeling dizzy.

"I'm sorry, I didn't think it was bad. I knew you needed your wings fixed." I say just as I collapses to the ground and everything goes black.
