//-------------------------------------------------------// Equestrian Age: Rise of the Inquisitor (New) -by Timeless Lord Slayer- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Ark 1: A Typical Monday... //-------------------------------------------------------// Destiny Awaits Chapter 1 Destiny Awaits In the high mountains of the dragon kingdom of Draconian, a duel between the high emperor dragon and a dark dragon wages. The emperor was a large, bulked, red dragon with large bat-like wings and massive spikes on his back. The black dragon was smaller than the emperor and was skinner. He had red glowing eyes, smooth black scales, and had razor sharp claws. The battle was long and harsh as they continued to use their power and strength against one another. The emperor soon used his tail and swung it against the dark dragon causing him to stumble onto the ground. There was a moment of silence between the two dragons. The emperor finally spoke. "You are a fool, Dulanth!" he declared. "To think you can defeat me so easily. You're even weaker than any drake I have ever faced." Dulanth looked up to the emperor with his glowing red eyes. "The raw strength you have may have been enough to destroy my weaker self, but it is nothing compared to what I have obtained." he said. His eyes soon turned green with power burning in them and his scales soon started to crack with green lights emanating underneath them. "A gift from my new allies," He said hissing. Dulanth's body soon burst into a sickish green flames. After the flames had died down the emperor looked into the remaining ashes and smoke that were in front of him. The emperor's eyes soon widen when the smoke cleared and stood before him was Dulanth in a new form. He scales were greenish black and his eyes were glowing with green with flames coming out of them and had large horns on his skull. His teeth were massive and were sharp and was more bulkier than the emperor. He looked down on the emperor. "Your rule ends here," he said menacingly. He let out a burst of green fire and it soon disintegrated the emperor dragon within seconds. "And our rule has come." A flash of light soon appeared behind the dragon and an army of white skinned, bipedal creatures with armor covering them were walking of it and they let out their war cry. -Earth- E3 Convention 'Best. E3. Ever!' I thought to myself as I was walking out of the convention in my Inquisitor costume that a friend of my mine had made. The costume was like what the Inquisitor wore in the first gameplay trailer. I wore the signature helmet with the dragon's head in the middle and the had the chest plate with symbol of the Seekers with my fake greatsword on my back. It also came with a pair of silver gauntlets, two silver boots, a gold slash around my waist, and inside the vest I was wearing was colored gold on the inside and the outside was black. I got a chance to see all of the newest games that are coming out soon and saw gameplay footage of all of the games coming out this year. But what had my attention the most was the new Dragon Age Inquisition game that's coming out and couldn't wait for it. But it was still months away and the day was almost over. I was heading over to my car and tried to grab my keys, until an old man with a long white beard in what looked like was in one of those old, grey mage outfit like Gandalf used to wear in the Lord of the Rings movies approached me. I looked over to him with confusion as he was getting near me. I decided to do the polite thing and said, "Hi, is there something you need?" The old man was startled for a moment, but he quickly put on a smile. "Oh sorry there young lad, my mind was just wondering on its own again. I hope I didn't trouble you?" he asked. "No it's okay, I understand," I said to the old man. I was about to turned back to my car until the old man spoke up again. "Hey, nice costume you have there. Did you make that or did you get it at the convention?" "Neither, a good friend of mine made it for me," I replied. "It's base off of the new Dragon Age game coming out." "Ah yes, I have heard of that game before," the old man said. "Not much of a gamer myself, but I do keep track with all the kids are into this days." 'We're not all exactly kids anymore,' I thought to myself. "Well, I hate to be rude, but I do need to be heading back home now. I am a long way from home and it'll take me some time to get there." "Of course, but before you go I have something to give you," the old man said. He reached into his bag on his side and pulled out an small, round orb. He handed it to me and his expression turned into a serious one. "Be warned, there are dark times coming for both our world and in another. If you are to save this world, you must go to the other and stop the coming darkness or all hope will be lost." he said. Truth be told I was completely confused and petrified at what he said. "W-What do you mean by that?" I asked cautiously. The old man expression turned to being happy. "Oh sorry, my mind went off again. Well, I leave you alone now. Good day." He turned and walked away from me. I let out a sigh of relieve after that. 'Wow, I know old people can be crazy sometimes, but that was more than I can handle.' I thought. I looked down at the orb and saw my reflection on it. It was just an ordinary orb, nothing special about it. Until of a sudden, a flash of light was coming from the orb and the next thing I knew I was being sucked into it and was be hurled around in the middle of blinding light. Before the next thing I knew, the light was gone and I thought the worst part was over......turns out it wasn't the worst part when I looked down. I was falling towards a forest high in the air. There was only one thing I could do at the time. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" *SPLASH* I soon found out that fell into what looked like a swamp and I was soaking wet. I coughed a couple because the water had gotten into my mouth and went down my windpipe because of the fall. Lucky, the water wasn't too deep and was able to swim my way towards the nearest shore. I hacked a few more times after I got out of the water and took a moment to breath. The first on my mind was, 'Never take an orb from a strange old man again.' and the second thing was to find out where I was. I took a good look around my surroundings. It was definitely a swamp of some kind and it was getting dark out here. If there was anything I learned from the horror movies my dad would make me watch sometimes, is that it is never a good idea to stay out in the dark while in a swamp in just some plastic cost- "Wait a minute." I felt around my costume a bit and for some reason it felt real. The chest piece was actually made of metal and the fake chains on my shoulders were real too. Even my helmet was made of real metal. Somehow, my costume had became a real suit of armor and I don't have a clue what is going on. I even pulled out my greatsword and wouldn't you know it, it was real as well. But the bigger question is, if all this was real now, wouldn't it be heavy on me? I've learned that the armors that knights wore were heavy around them and they had to be really strong in order to wear them. I'm not saying I'm weak or anything, I'm just not as tough as a knight or a wrestler for that matter. I suppose I can set aside that question for later, since I shouldn't be that concerned about it until after I find out where I am and how to get back home........or at least back to my car so I don't have to buy another one. I placed the sword back on my back, gave out sigh, and looked around to see where I would go. I was in a forest and I had no survival skills on how to survive out here. 'Well, if I have to go anywhere I guess I would-' my thoughts were interrupted when I heard wolf howls coming from the distance behind me. 'Away from there!' I thought nervously and ran in the opposite direction of the howls. An hour had passed and it was near pitch dark out here. I could barely see anything out here with the sun gone. I would have stopped somewhere and rest up against a tree, grabbing some sleep. If it wasn't for the fact that it felt like something was watching me. I would hear pieces of wood snap every now and again and the bushes would move around as I walked by them. I was practically scared out of my pants and just wished that this day would be over and I was back at my home, sleeping in my soft, comfortable bed. I took a moment to stop to take another look around me. It may have been pitch dark, but I was able to make out what I could in a short distance. What I was able to see though was a clearing in the distance and It was my best chance of having a clear view of my surroundings without anything hiding behind a tree. But before I could make my way towards it, two wolfs came jumping out of some bushes and were blocking me. Soon three more came behind me as well and I was surrounded. The wolfs were unlike anything I had ever seen before. They had glowing green eyes and they were timber wolves......Literally they were made out of timber. While I was terrified by this, I still had enough common sense to pull out my sword and held it firm in my hands. The wolves were walking in circles around me as they were trying to find the right time to strike at me. One of the ones behind me soon charged at me and jumped into the air. I quickly swung my sword towards it and slashed it in half. The remains soon fell apart as they fell on the ground and I turned my attention back to the others. Two of them soon charged at me at the the same time. I was able to dodge  one of them and went for the second one. I kicked it right at the face and sent it towards a tree where it smashed to pieces. The other one was able to bite me on my leg, but luckily the boots were made out of real metal now and the wolf's teeth weren't strong enough to pierce it. I brought my sword up and brought it down on its head. For a few seconds it didn't move and it fell to pieces like the others. The last to charged at me from opposite sides and they both jumped in the air. I quickly duck down and wolves soon collided with each other and were blown to bits from the impact. I gave out a sigh of relieve when it was over. I had to say I was impress that I was able to survive that. But I suppose that since I had a weapon and armor on, the chances of winning that were in my favor. As I started to walk away however, I soon started to something behind me and looked over to my eyes widen at what was happening. The remains of the wolves were soon flying around and were being put back together to make something huge. I took a couple of steps back from what was in front of me. It was no doubt a larger timber wolf with a wood crown on its head and it didn't look happy. It swung its paw at me and I was flying through the air and came tumbling down on the ground. I looked up to see the beast coming at me and my sword was right next to me. I grabbed it and pointed it at the wolf. 'I wish I had fire or something to kill this thing,' I thought. After I thought that, my sword soon started to glow red and it soon was on fire. I panicked for a moment and started to blow on the sword to get rid of the fire, but it was going away. It then took me another moment that the sword wasn't burning, nor was the handle beginning to burn my hands. I than turn my attention back at the large wolf and decided to use this to my advantage. I charged at the wolf and before it could do anything, I slashed across one of its leg it soon was on fire. The wolf looked like it was in pain from the fire and was attempting to blow it off. I soon swung my sword again and cut the lower part of its jaw off. The wolf was howling in pain and was now completely on fire. It was moving around frantically for a few moments, but it soon stopped moving and fell into the ground in pieces with the remains burning. I looked at the fiery remains of the creature to make sure it wasn't coming back for more. But there was no movement and it seemed it was dead for good this time. I looked down at my flaming sword and wondered how to make it stop. On cue, the sword stop producing fire and I was once at awe at what happened. I touched where the flames were and it was just warm not burning hot red like what would happen to metal if it was in fire for too long. I placed the sword on my back and turned away from the fire and continued my way towards the clearing. I walked into the clearing and I was able to more clearly now because of the shinning moonlight. I looked around to see a large field of apple trees all around me. There was a lot and I was feeling a bit hungry at the moment. I didn't see the harm of picking an apple from a tree, so I picked one and took a bite out of it. -Apples' Home- An orange earthpony was sleeping peacefully after a hard days of work and spending time with her wonderful friends until she was beginning to sweat a bit and was tossing and turning in her bed. "Apples....being eaten. Without......paying them," she said in her sleep. After a satisfying snack, I looked around some more and saw a tree house nearby. I walked over to it and saw that it looked like it was something a little girl would play in. I decided to go in and see if there was enough room for me to see if I could sleep in it for the night. I would have gone to see if there was a house nearby, but it was late and I was exhausted after battling those wolves in the forest. I had difficulty getting in with my sword being long and my armor wasn't making the door any bigger, but I was able to get in and had to crouch to move around. The tree house was much bigger than it looked on the outside and there was plenty of room to lay down for a while. There was crayons and drawings on the table, a few posters of some rainbow haired colored pony on the wall, and boxes of toys and other stuff. I took my helmet off and let my brown hair breath and removed my gauntlets placing them on the side. I removed the sword from my back and had it leaning against the wall. I spotted a nearby pillow, grabbed it, and place it on the ground where I place my head to sleep. It was no doubt the strangest day of my life. For one moment I was at the E3 convention for the first time and the next I know some orb sends me this place and I get attack by wolves literally made out of wood. I let out a sigh and closed my eyes to sleep. It's been a long night anyway. Might as well try to find out what happened to me tomorrow. I mean, it can't get any more weirder than this, right? Oh how I regretted those words.....
