As a weather mare, it was my job to keep the weather as it was needed to be for each day. My friend, Twilight Sparkle, was recently made an alicorn princess. I was so happy for her, and I wanted to tell her something on the day of the coronation...but I couldn't. I didn't want her to know I had a crush on her. She might reject me! I feared rejection more than anything, but I didn't let that show. I still remember when I first felt that way... I felt attracted to Twilight a year or two after we met. I couldn't flat out tell her! She might have taken it as a joke, and I don't know how I'd feel then. I almost lost her on several occassions, and I'm glad she's still alive. I love her too much to lose. I just...I get so nervous around her, but I maintain it, at least. So, I can describe what happened... The ground was covered with leaves with shades of scarlet, burnt orange, and gold. Dash was in the park with Twilight, enjoying the cool fall evening. Nothing much had been said, the two mares both wore scarves with colors matching their own. They were both walking, and the wind blew gently, making a few leaves scatter and dance in the wind. Dash glanced at the moonlit sky, her gentle pink eyes twinkling. Twilight watched a few leaves dance in the wind, her amethyst purple eyes shining. Her ears tilted down some and a small reddish-pink blush faintly appeared on her cheeks. "Hey, Dash?" Twi asked. Dash's ears perked up and she looked at Twilight. "Yeah?" "Are you... Seeing anyone next week?" "No... Why?" "Because I want to take you to Fillydelphia!" "F-Fillydelphia? Why?" "Well, you've just been so kind to me lately, and I want to show you my thanks!" Dash smiled brightly and she wrapped her arms around Twilight in an embrace, holding her close. I wanted to kiss her right then and there, but... I knew she would think differently of me, I don't know, I just... I felt like she would. Twi's blush brightened as she was eye to eye with Dash. Dash started to blush aswell. "Uh... Heh... It's cold out here, isn't it?" Dash asked, her ears hot with embarassment. "Y-Yeah, it is.." Twi said, looking at the cobblestone road, her blush intensifying. I didn't know what to think when I saw her blush. I was wondering if she felt the same way about me, but I was sure she didn't... Dash bit her lip and let go of the embrace. "Should I... Should I take you home?" "Y-Yeah, that'll be nice." Twi said, looking back at her, her blush making her cheeks seem brighter. I took Twilight home. I told her good night, and I said I love you, except I said it right when she was about to close the door. "I love you!" Dash said as Twi was starting to close the door. Both of their faces turned red and Dash's wings shot open. "D-Dash, I lo-" Twi began, and Dash shot off like a bullet, her secret out. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 0 - Prolouge //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 0 - Prolouge "Twilight, I know I seem in a bad position... But, we have to keep going...  We're so cl-" Rainbow Dash stopped mid-sentence to cough blood, tears rolling off my face. "We're so close..." "Rainbow Dash, please, we have to stop! I need to give you bandages, now! You look like you're going to die!" Twilight Sparkle told the cyan blue Pegasus, the world going hazy around her. "No... We're so close, I can... I can feel it!..." The Pegasus said, limping weakly and trying to fly, but only landing down again. "Dash, you have to rest! I can get you the rest of the way!" The lavender alicorn pressed, running infront of the cyan blue pony and putting her hooves on Dash's shoulders. The rainbow-maned mare shook her head and gasped in pain, her neck was almost broken from what had happened. Fear flashed in Twi's eyes. She picked her friend up in her magic and in seconds Dash was on her back, Twi opened her scarred and battered wings to prevent me from falling off her. She then broke out into a run, and the Pegasus felt like she was going to faint, the world was turning dark for her. Rainbow Dash shut her eyes for what felt like hours, and when she opened them again she saw that they were closer than she thought to Ponyville. Dash heard Twilight faintly encourage me to stay awake, but it was so hard to... Dash was losing a lot of blood. "Dash, please!" Twilight begged, picking up speed as she looked at Dash. Dash then shut her eyes. She thought she'd never wake up again.
