//-------------------------------------------------------// Retribution of the Darkness -by Hazingo935- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prelude //-------------------------------------------------------// Prelude Five years after the Royal Wedding in Ponyville, a lot has happened. First, Ponyville had been expanded, new buildings rising and more ponies moving in, and a lot of familiar ones moving out... Rainbow Dash had moved on after a year, as was expected, and joined the Wonderbolts, where she found new friends, mainly Spitfire and Soarin. Together, they have made the best Wonderbolts shows in the last thousand years. She had also preformed privately for Princess Celestia on occasion, and had grown close with her. Scootaloo, devastated by this turn of events, had found a new role model, one that Rainbow Dash had also liked, Daring Do. Rainbow had severed most ties to Ponyville, except for a few. Rarity had also left Ponyville, but much later than Rainbow. She was the second to leave, having more and more contracts in Canterlot. She had planned on moving there for a few weeks to try it. Instead, it had turned to months, and then to years. Sweetie Belle had also moved with her sister, which saddened the other Cutie Mark Crusaders greatly. In the end, Rarity and Sweetie began to run an excellent business, growing to the point of being a number one competitor in the fashion business. They had very few ties left to Ponyville, which, as Rarity thought, was just a phase. Fluttershy had been the next to leave, which surprised almost every pony, but the destination was what shocked everyone. She had moved to Fillydelphia, the city with the largest zoo in Equestria, and was making quiet a comfortable living there. She had kept up letters with Rainbow Dash, but that had stopped shortly afterwards, with Dash not wanting to think of her betrayal of her friends. Then, in a random turn of events, Pinkie Pie had to leave suddenly to go back to her family's farm. It had been an extremely bad year, and, Pinkie wanting to help, had gone there as quick as was possible (which, for her, was quite quick). She helped her parents and siblings turn the farm into a successful business, which, in turn, made a town grow around them. Pinkie, however, had kept extremely strong ties with the rest of her friends, excluding Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. The least likely to ever leave Ponyville, the Apples, had left a month before, when their apple orchard had caught fire and been burned completely to the ground. Out of necessity, Applejack, who had become extremely close to Twilight in the absence of all her friends, left with a very many teary goodbyes. She had tried to keep cards with Twilight, and had been extremely successful until recent days, when the daily letters had stopped completely. Twilight was the least likely pony to ever stay in Ponyville for ever, had stayed through thick and thin. She had helped the remaining Cutie Mark Crusader overcome her depression at being left alone, and had grown to love the little filly like a sister. Spike had also come to take a liking to Scootaloo, even though she took up most of Twilight's time with her mischievous adventures. But a new group of friends was about to be born, and, like the old friendships, much will happen. Tests will be issued, heroes will arise, and friends will find comfort in one another.
