A Travel Through Dimensions
"Bing....Bing.....Bing..." beeped Abby's alarm clock. She woke up and looked around her room. The sun leaked through her windows making the light pink and pale yellow walls visible. She did not prefer these colors, but she dealt with them. There were drawings of lightning bolts around her room, because 'Lightning Strike' was her secret nickname. Lightning Strike got out of bed and glanced at her alarm clock. It showed in bright red numbers the time, 7:00. After taking a shower, getting dressed, brushing her hair, and brushing her teeth, Lightning Strike watched for the school bus to arrive. When it did arrive, she got on, taking her usual spot. Lightning Strike opened her book bag and got out the school library's copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. She read about 5 pages when the bus quickly halted. Lightning Strike put her book away and followed the line of people getting off the bus. Once she put her bag in her locker, she went into the classroom where SSR (Sustained Silent Reading) was held until class started.
"Psst." said a voice across from Lightning Strike.
"What could you want from someone who wants to read?" asked Lightning Strike.
"Jeez, I guess I'll tell you later." replied Storm Cloud, Lightning Strike's best friend.
Storm Cloud's real name was Tavon. Lightning Strike enjoyed the nicknames for her and Storm Cloud. About 10 minutes later the bell ringed, signaling class to start. Everybody put their books in their desks, and payed attention to the front of the classroom, boring as usual. After what seemed like and hour, the bell ringed again and everybody swarmed out of the classroom. Lightning Strike and Storm Cloud walked down to the music room for Band class, along with some other friends.
