Chapters From the apocalypse to Equestria
Johann was walking through the hallways (he had given up on running long time ago) seeing as he had run into a big problem. He was lost and absolutely lost. He wouldn’t even know the way to the first room anymore if he tried not that he would that would just be plain idiotic. He was getting truly agitated as he needed to carry his sport bag and his backpack with all his stuff in them with him whilst needing to be stealthy not really something he really liked combining.
He hadn’t seen many guards or anyone at all so that was a plus although that also meant he couldn’t extract information out of them to solve his little problem. Suddenly he heard an extremely snobbish voice which he remembered from the show. “Oh great.”
Johann quickly searched a good hiding spot and waited a little while after a minute or so he saw mister douchebag AKA prince Blueblood walk past him accompanied by some unknown nobles from his hiding spot he managed to overhear their conversation. “So I said they needed to solve it immediately or otherwise I would fire them. Finally those fools managed to find a way so that I didn’t need to walk I mean how dare they I am royalty and they expected me to walk like a commoner because the carriage broke down disgraceful!” The others said something in agreement the rest of their conversation he didn’t hear as they got out of hearing range.
“Some exercise would do your fat ass good,” Johann mumbled before continuing his random path after a while he decided that there was a small problem with his escape plan if he remembered correct the city was on a mountain. He couldn’t just keep talking aimlessly around like the infected did that would get him nowhere except perhaps in the dungeon.
He found a stair case that led down when he followed it he arrived by what looked was a storage room lots of food, lots of alcoholic beverages and above all a cool temperature excellent for him seeing as he wore quite heavy clothes. “What we got here I guess it’s paradise.”
If he would go down he would at least go down after having a nice meal.

The princesses had a lot less stressful moment in fact their stress had just been increased not only was one creature unconscious and the second running freely in the castle with all of his possessions for which Celestia had already scolded her sister for not putting them somewhere safe and out of the creatures reach, but now Celestia also needed to deal with noon court (=listening to the most idiotic requests her subjects had to offer her most of the time) and Luna needed to get some sleep meaning that neither of the princesses could organize the search to the second creature or explain the situation to the first should it wake up.
Needless to say they weren’t comfortable Celestia had trouble keeping focus in court and Luna had difficulties sleeping (how would you be if a creature of unknown origin ran loose in your home).

Princess Celestia appeared in front of his eyes in an even more heavy light earning another set of curses from James. “So you’re awake.” He heard her state.
“Yes, What happened?”
“My sister thought I was in danger and knocked you unconscious with a vase please forgive her.”
James grunted before saying. “This is real isn’t it? Not a dream, not the result of any drugs from the Medicine man or someone else, not a strange version of the afterlife?”
“I am sorry, but all of this is real and afterlife? You think you died?”
“Yes, or I should be death the Medicine man hit me damn good with those accursed ice picks of his not to mention the berserker, the two story fall and getting almost an entire floor dropped on top of me so yeah I find it hard to believe I was able to survive all of that.”
“Yeah berserker big ass type of infected one of the nastiest types of them.”
“Them?”
“Yeah the infected, the crazed calling them zombies would be inaccurate as they aren’t undead, but they behave similar behavior at least during the day. As long as the sun shines they are slow and mostly brainless easy to deal with, but shit hits the fan when the moon comes up during the night those slow, brainless infected become true nightmares and we need to hide,” James explained his story had clearly shocked Celestia.
“Perhaps you could tell us more about these infected at another time I am sure my sister Luna and my former student Twilight would also be interested in hearing this story perhaps you could in the meantime tell me more about this Medicine man?”
“Isn’t much to tell about him all we know about him is that he is capable of creating medicines meaning he probably was a pharmacist or a student pharmacist before the outbreak besides that not much is known of this guy except that he really wanted a map we found and was even willing to murder for it,” James answered trying to get out of the subject as he really didn’t like to talk about him anymore.
“Did he wear a strange white/black metal mask by any chance?”
“Yep, that’s him why you know him?”
“He’s here.”
Time seemed to stop for James after he heard those words his mad arch nemesis was in Equestria.

Meanwhile Johann was having a good time he had installed himself in a more secluded part of the storage room and had taken a bit of food not too much as to not try and make those horses suspicious it felt good eating a bit of fresh food after having eaten so many days nothing else, but canned food.
However he was pulled out of his daydreaming when he heard two voices approaching. “Great,” He mumbled annoyed as he took cover.
“So this is like you can see the storage room it’s important you know we-here everything lays as the chefs are not the most patient ponies.” He heard a male voice say.
“Yes, sir I shall make sure of it I know all the ingredients place,” A female voice exclaimed obviously happy.
The enthusiasm of the female actually made a small smile creep on Johann’s face as he remembered how enthusiastic he had been his first day. How the desire to create medicine had been so big he had needed to keep himself in check or he would have started hopping in the hospital corridors.
Once again he was brought out of his daydreaming when he heard hoof steps getting closer and he prepared to if necessary knock the two out. He heard the two walking on the other side of the storage cabinet.
“Uhm sir is this cabinet stable it looks like it is rather unstable,” The female asked.
“Yes, it is completely stable here see,” The stallion said and Johann heard the sound of someone pushing against the wood, but the cabinet didn’t move. “You see. You try!”
“Uhm alright sir,” The female said hesitantly and she pushed unfortunately that was the moment on which a support decided to break causing the cabinet to fall. “Oh shit.”
Johann tried to get away, but was caught by the cabinet. BOOM!!! The cabinet hit the floor and to Johann’s horror he was stuck his entire lower body was stuck underneath the cabinet. “What have you done Dream Treasure?!”
“I just pushed like you said,” The mare stuttered.
Johann groaned loudly as he felt more weight being put on the cabinet and a few moments later a blue stallion with a black mane appeared directly above him and Johann started the countdown. “3….2….1… and now!”
Perfectly timed the stallion let out a scream as he noticed Johann directly underneath him. “It’s the creature Dream do you know what you did you captured the escaped creature of the princesses,” The stallion exclaimed at the confused mare.
The mare walked around the fallen cabinet so she could look at the creature from the side and indeed there laid a bipedal creature his lower body stuck under the cabinet. “Get the fuck off of that cabinet that thing is heavy enough without you on it!!!”
The stallion let out a shriek and retreated further away scared from both the act that it spoke and from the voice the voice was raspy and cold extremely unpleasant to hear.
“Did you just speak?”
No I was singing of course I was speaking you see anyone else here capable of producing a real male voice?”
“We have to report this to the princesses Dream you guard the creature!” before the mare could retort the stallion had run off leaving an extremely nervous Dream with the bipedal creature like the voice wasn’t worse enough it turned his eyes towards her.
Those dull green eyes reflected so many feelings of the creature’s feelings hatred, confusion, curiosity, irritation to name a few. “You,” It suddenly said whilst pointing a finger at her.
“Y-Y-Yes.” She stuttered.
What is going to happen to all the food on the ground?”
“It will probably be thrown away no nobility wants food that has been on the ground,” She found herself replying quite smooth.
“What a waste could you give me those grapes over there so I can eat a bit while we wait?”
“Sure.” She hesitantly threw the grapes over to him.
And that glass?” Once gain she handed it him only then he noticed that she had wings “hmp a white horse with wings and a blonde mane is this normal around here?”
“Kind of and I am not a horse. I am a pony a pegasi to be precise,” She replied nervously.
“Your name is Dream Treasure correct?” to this she simply nodded whilst he started eating from his grapes after a few he opened a bottle he managed to get his hands on and poured a bit in the glass before putting a straw in the glass and then he started drinking obviously he liked it as he drunk a good bit before stopping.
“You want some too?” He offered
“I can’t that Is castle property I am not allowed to take anything form here,” Dream replied.
“Don’t give me that the bottle has been opened and either you wait here with a dry throat which I know you have or you share a drink with probably the first of my kind you pones have ever seen what shall it be?”
Well perhaps one glass can’t hurt and it would only be polite to take you up on such offer.”
“Now you’re talking.” Johann said happily as she brought a glass with her and he poured her a drink.
Princess Luna was trying to sleep, but so far she had no luck she was just too nervous for the creature that was still running freely around the castle when suddenly she heard a knock on her door. “Enter!”
The door opened revealing a guard. “Princess, we found the second creature in the storage room it’s stuck underneath a storage cabinet.” The guard needed to say no more as Luna disappeared in a flash if light reappearing in the storage room where she saw a group of guards standing around a fallen cabinet so she went to it what she saw she hadn’t exactly expected.
The creature was having a small talk with a pegasi mare even giving her an ear rub?!?!?! The mare clearly in a bliss When the ponies noticed her they immediately bowed.
“Rise my faithful subjects.”
“Ah I suppose you are the one named Luna am I correct?”
“Princess Luna, but thee art correct we art the one thee refers to.” Earning a nod from the creature, but it didn’t reply. Luna cringed slightly from it’s voice it had been long ago since she had heard such a cold voice.
“May we know thine name?”
“You know normally seen one would first ask the man stuck underneath a storage cabinet how it is going with him same for your guards is my health really that uninteresting?”
“Of course forgive us how art thee?” Luna asked sincerely.
“I cannot feel my balls or anything of my lower body so if you could get me out of here I would be quite grateful.”
Luna’s horn lit up and the cabinet was put back into place she could hear the creature mutter something that sounded like “About bloody time I got from underneath that thing.”
After it had gotten back up and dusted itself off she truly realized how big it was it could easily rival her sister in height. She found herself drawn to the mask it was wearing it was like a representation of his personality of which his voice was also an evidence cold and calculating. He picked up his belongings before speaking.
“Good you helped me, but let’s sweeten the deal tell you what I tell you my name, my nickname and you get to ask a few questions if you share a drink with me.”
“We accept thine conditions prepare thee for some dizziness,” Luna said as she charged her horn.
“What do you mea…” before he could finish Luna teleported him to her room when they arrived Johann indeed needed to find his balance again. Luna had already taken a seat on her bed and had poured two glasses with a liquid from a bottle. “We hope thou aren’t a lightweight because this is heavy stuff.
“I shall take your word for it.” Johann said down and pulled a straw out sticking it in the beverage before sucking it had a good taste.
“Now we have honored thine request will thy honor thine part of our deal?”
“Of course although I still want the right to refuse answers on questions too personal, but as starter my name is Johann wolf most people these days only know me as the Medicine man.”
“Art we allowed to call thee with thine real name?” This earned her an affirmative nod from Johann.
“Next question why art thou hiding thine face behind a mask?”
“I didn’t get along with a lot of people back from where I am the mask is to protect my identity.”
Luna wanted to question about this further, but knew that he would refuse to answer so she sighted and searched a different question.
“Where art thou from?”
“Depends there are many answers to that question do you mean where was I before I was brought here? Or where was I born? Or from where did I come before going to the place where I got sucked into your world?”
“We art interested in the answers on all those questions.”
“Chicago USA, Antwerp Belgium and New York city USA.”
“Can I ask you a few questions as well,” Johann asked Luna before drinking a bit more from his drink.
“Ask away.”
“How is it going with you?”
Luna was a bit confused from the question, but answered regardless. “Quite well thank thee.”
“How late is it?”
“twenty after four.”
“My turn what are thou?”
“I am a human or for the scientific name homo sapien.”
“How did I arrive here?”
“Our fellow princess Twilight Sparkle was experimenting with a spell which seemingly pulled you two in.”
“Two?”
“Yes, you and the other one. He wore a helmet, blue pants, grey shirt and brown jacket if that helps,”
“That definitely helps,” Johann replied emotionless his voice if possible even colder than before however before she could question him about it a flash of white light appeared in the room and there stood her sister and the second creature.
“Missed me?” Johann asked amused.
From the apocalypse to Equestria
After he had explained a bit about the Medicine man and a guard had come to report that he had been found and was currently alone with the other princess in her room well let’s just say that James did not like it one bit his concern was obviously shared with Celestia. She had yet to speak with this Medicine man, but from what she had been told he was an extremely dangerous individual now of course she doesn’t believe everything she hears however so far James had been honest and well the thought of having your little sister in the same room as someone like the Medicine man isn’t exact comforting.
Celestia immediately teleported the two of them to her sisters room where she indeed saw her sister sitting on her bed together with the masked creature two drinks on a table close to the bed so far her sister looked unharmed.
By now both her sister’s and the masked creature’s gaze was focused on her and James. The masked one asked with a tone so cold that it even made a chill run up her spine “Missed me?”
Whatever it meant she could sense James did not appreciate the remark in the least as he angrily snarled. “YOU!!!”
The masked creature looked unfazed of course she couldn’t see it’s face, but she was certain of it the creature hadn’t even flinched from the hateful tone James had said it instead it opted to mimic James on his own cold calculated way.
“You.” Johann replied with his normal voice on a semi-taunting way.
The two sisters could only look baffled at the sudden immense hostility in the room between the two and silently they were happy to separate them or they would have most likely killed each other when they had awoken however before either of the two sisters could try to defuse the situation James had already charged at Johann.
Johann was no fool however and he knew he had it coming so he grabbed James wrist and in a quick motion threw him on the bed before quickly grabbing his combat knife that was sheeted in a special holster attached to his left lower leg just above his ankle and proceeded into trying to deal with his rival once and for all. The princesses tried to take the knife using their magic, but found out their magic did not work at all on the knife or anything of the man this leaved them stunned again as they had never met someone on who their magic had no effect at all.
James had anticipated the attack and rolled to his right barely dodging the knife which missed him by mere inches immediately he got from the bed and to his relief founded the ponies had left his shiv he had hidden in a hidden pocket from jacket granted it wasn’t as fancy as the combat knife of the Medicine man, but it would get the job done.
Both men jumped on top of Luna’s bed and held their knife fight there both trying to stab their opponent, but so far neither of them managed to land a hit each time they attacked it was blocked by the other. Johann was just done dealing another barrage which had been dodged when suddenly James charged him causing him to fall backwards from the bed straight on top of the table he and Luna had put their drinks on. The table broke underneath his weight immediately he grabbed a piece of wood and slung it towards James who was forced to abandon his original plan of diving on top of his opponent in order to dodge the piece.
“ENOUGH!!!!!!!!”
Johann briefly averted his gaze from the angry Luna to look around and indeed the bottle that had stood on the table was laying broken on the ground the delicious liquid it once contained spilled on the floor it was a saddening sight indeed for Johann seeing that godly liquid wasted. He returned his gaze to the princesses deciding they were the more important matter at hand tan a broken bottle (that and it fell like someone stabbed him in the back when he looked at the broken bottle.)
“Explain to me this instance why the two of you decided that a knife battle needed to be hosted in my sister’s bedroom,” Celestia bellowed on a way it started nearing her sister’s royal Canterlot voice.
“I already told you why Celestia. He’s dangerous and he needs to be taken care off,” James replied earning a snort from Johann.
“Well well well I am barely here for a few days and already you’re trying to get me killed James why am I not surprised in the very least.”
“Don’t act like a saint you have committed crimes for which you should be punished! Besides I am pretty sure you would have done the same thing to me you probably already had a plan!”
Oh yes that would indeed have been very very tempting had he known problem was he hadn’t he had only just been notified there was another human here, but there hadn’t been exactly been a lot of time between learning of this information and James showing up in the room with Celestia barely enough to comprehend it let alone make a plan for getting rid of him.
“Hey, in my defense you’re still living right that means I at least didn’t make it my number one priority to get rid of you,” Johann tried to scavenge what he could from the situation.
“Enough!!!,” Celestia yelled again silencing the two men. “I demand an explanation for the hostility between the two of you.”
Neither of the two men wanted to tell her, but neither of them also wanted to deny a pissed of solar diarch to piss off so James tried to stall. “Fine I will tell you my tale, but perhaps it would be beneficial to tell everyone who needs to know in one it’s not a story that I feel good telling so please reduce the amount of times the story needs to be old to a minimum.”
A small compassionate smile formed on Celestia’s face and she nodded “very well I understand that not every story is pleasant to tell so me and my sister shall discuss who we deem necessary to hear your story I assume you feel the same way mister uhm?”
James didn’t show it, but he was just as curious as Celestia for the answer he had always know his enemy as the Medicine man.
“Most people these days know me as the Medicine man.” James hid his disappointment until he suddenly heard him continue. “However once I was named Johann Wolf I guess you can call me that.”
Johann Wolf so that was his arch-nemesis name after all this time he finally knew and whilst James honestly wanted nothing to do with Johann he couldn’t do anything for the time being besides who knows perhaps if he was stuck in this pony land it would be good to have at least one more human with him even if that human was his arch-nemesis.
Johann was thinking exactly the same thing sure he did not like James, but he also didn’t like the prospect of being the only human either so for now the two made a silent truce there came an uncomfortable silence well for anyone besides Johann as he was used to silence during the apocalypse he had traveled mostly alone in comparison to James who had some companions.
If one of them had the plan to break the silence it came a little too late as a loud *BANG* which startled everyone and James eyes fell upon Joann’s belongings and realized that his belongings hadn’t been in his room. “Where is my stuff,” He exclaimed.
Both princesses stuttered the same word. “Twilight.”
Immediately he ran out of the room followed by the princesses and Johann.

Twilight felt a burning pain in her foreleg unlike anything she had ever felt before the James revolver laid far away from her as she had crawled away as far away from the device as she could. She heard shouting and yelling in the hallway and suddenly her door was opened by one of the creatures she was absolutely petrified now she did not know anything of this creature and here it was in her room whilst she was wounded however when she looked in his eyes she saw no rage or hatred, but concern.
The creature was young she noticed this was the first time she got a good look on him twenty-one or twenty-three at mot just as old as she yet she could sense the amount of pain and sadness he had gone through was far greater than that of hers.
He immediately went over to her alcoholic beverages he didn’t question why she had them she’s a politician now and he was sure of it a good swing was the only thing that prevented a lot of those guys form going insane.
Now the princesses were quite confused as to what he was doing the knife fight that had just happened not really warming them up for the human either so they used their magic to take the things from his grasp. James threw them a glare not a hateful one like expected, but more an urgent one. “I am trying to help.” Was all he said before returning to what he was doing.
The second creature had cold eyes which caused a small chill to run up her spines however as he saw her leg she could see a small bit of compassion in it’s eyes before it on his turn broke off a table leg like a well synchronized team they finished at the exact same time and arrive by Twilight.
The first creature took a cloth out of his pocket which he drenched using some of her strong liquor. The other one holding the table leg near her mouth saying. “bite on it!”
Twilight threw a questioning look at the princesses who were also confused sensing her confusion the creature continued. “This will hurt and the wood will prevent you from biting your tongue off so open your mouth.”
This time she obeyed and the creature placed the wood in her mouth right on time as the first creature poured the liquid on her wound and a terrible pain made her bite down on the wood fresh tears forming in her eyes. “shh everything will be fine,” the first creature said on an extremely soothing tone.
“That will do princess can you cauterize the wound,” the second creature asked on his normal cold voice after a little while.
Celestia complied lighting her horn to everyone’s amazement the alcohol ignited, but it didn’t burn her skin only her fur when the flames died out the first creature bound her wound with the piece of cloth. “That should hold it for now, but she still needs a real doctor or at least I hope it holds it’s been a while since I got shot.” Twilight couldn’t help, but notice the glance the first creature shot at the second who remained completely silent. She did not know the detail, but something told her it had been good to separate these two although this of course caused new questions on which she wanted an answer.
She felt how she was lifted and being carried, but then she fell asleep as her adrenaline started wearing off combined with the loss of blood which was also partially responsible.

She awoke finding herself covered by comfy blankets on top of her and a soft bed underneath her as well as the face of the first creature who was looking at someone else in the room, but Twilight didn’t found the power to turn her head or even keep her eyes open so she just listened.
“We don’t exactly know how to say this on a good way,” The voice which she recognized as the second creature said.
“I guarantee you no harm will come to the two of you whilst the knife fight you two held in my sister’s room is inexcusable without you Twilight would be in a far worse condition.”
“Very well I or rather we know for I believe he watched the show as well know everything about you guys about you and your sister and a lot more ponies, the elements of harmony, the changeling invasion, Discord, Sombra, Nightmare moon.”
“How?” She heard her mentor ask confused.
“You remember our talk about you know television right?”
“Yes.”
“In our world you guys are a television show originally meant for little girls although through numerous reasons you guys attracted people from all kind of ages and of the opposite gender. Because of numerous reasons good story line, good character development and something we humans like a lot,” The cold voice of the second human added.
“And what was that?”
“We humans always loved things that are considered cute or adorable.” The first human replied.
“And I need to admit that whilst I was considered an extremely cold man on my world I need to admit you guys are by far the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life,” The second human obviously trying to lighten the mood a bit as he allowed some warmth to mix with his cold voice. (She really ought to learn their names referring to them as such is getting annoying).
“I can sense a but coming up am I correct?”
“I always say for every good person there is at least one bad person and boy were there a lot of those a lot of people understood the messages of the show, but a lot more didn’t and the internet became a warzone long story short there were a lot of haters who tried to put you guys in a bad light and there were those who made you guys look awesome.” The second one said.
Twilight opened her eyes and was blinded by the light her mentor immediately noticed her and hugged her student.
Princess,” Twilight said happily as she hugged her mentor back, but unable to shake the feeling of what she just heard off of her somehow her mentor sensed her unease and asked more as a statement than a question.
“You heard them didn’t you?”
“Yes, princess,” Twilight replied not only did she knew that lying against Celestia was bad idea, but she was sure of it the truth was as clearly visible on her face as could be.
“Listen Twilight I shall inform Luna, but I think it would be unwise to inform any others from this discovery for the time being.”
Twilight gave a nod that she understood and looked at the two humans one looking at the ground the masked one looking out of the window. “May I ask your name’s?”
“James Hendrik Miller, but just call me James princess it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“Name’s Johann Wolf, but just Johann is fine.”
Twilight nodded happy that she no longer needed to refer to them as first and second creature however the peace was short lived hen suddenly there was a number of knocks on the door earning confused looks from everyone (well Johann’s masks prevents them from being sure, but there was a good possibility).
Celestia opened the door and a blur of pink shot in the room especially startling James and Johan as both reached for their firearms before realizing who it was Pinkie Pie the pink menace, the defiler of everything logical and the bane of everything sane.
“TWILIGHT! MY PINKIE SENSE TOLD ME YOU WERE IN THE HOSPITAL SO I GATHERED THE GIRLS AND SPIKE TO COME AND VISIT YOU BECAUSE I THOUGHT YOU WOULD BE LONELY I WAS ONCE IN THE HOSPITAL AND I GOT LONELY AND I DID NOT LIKE IT I CAN’T IMAGINE WHAT I WOULD DO IF NO ONE CAME TO VISIT ME IF I WERE IN YOUR PLACE. OH THAT WOULD MAKE ME SOOOOO SAD, BUT YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT BECAUSE I RALLIED EVERYONE OH HI PRINCESS! ANYWAY THAT WOULD BE LIKE SUPER DUPAH MEGA BUMMER!”
“SHUT UP PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK UPFOR EVERYTHING SACRED SHUT UP,” James roared using all of his willpower to not shoot the pink mare whilst Johann didn’t say nothing merely standing there motionless trying to suppress both his irritation and his growing headache and of course then that terrible voice started again as she took notice of the two humans.
“WOW, I HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING LIKE YOU TWO BEFORE! ARE YOU TWO MONSTERS? AND WHY IS HE WEARING THAT CREEPY MASK? ARE YOU PSYCHOPAS?????? mmmphmmm”
Princess Celestia used her hoof to cover Pinkie’s mouth to prevent both men from drawing their weapons on the pink mare she was especially worried about Johann seeing as his mask made it impossible for her to predict his actions.
“Pinkie it is psychopath not psychopas and that’s extremely rude to ask,” Twilight reprimanded the pink mare unbeknown to the other occupants of the room Johann released his breath happy with the renewed silence unfortunately it was short lived as he heard a few voices in the hallway.
“Where did Pinkie go?” A tomboyish voice asked and both men knew who it was.
“We should just follow the trail of confetti,” A voice with a southern accent proposed.
“uhm…Are we… uhm sure that Twilight is hurt,” A soft voice asked by this time Johann just grunted and walked to the darkest and furthest corner of the room this situation made him think back a little bit too much about his university days (the more annoying of those days) besides that he really just wanted some peace and quiet as he had developed a beginning headache.
James patient had already reach zero because of the pink mare. He took a massive breath and yelled. “IN HERE!” after that it became silent much to Johann’s pleasure.
The first one was Fluttershy who at the sight of James ran back out of the room Rainbow and Applejack looked at Fluttershy before entering and looking at James. “What the hay is that thing?”
Two hands face palmed whilst directed at James Johann couldn’t prevent him from face palming as well. “Fuck this shit.”
“haha you have funny words I mean what does fuck actually mean I bet it’s something fun and nice FUCK. That party was so fuck! I love it FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK!” Pinkie started spouting the word fuck out so many times both men could only watch in shock if one would have paid attention to Johann’s eyes they would have seen the coldness disappear for a brief second replaced by confusion and embarrassment for being in the presence of someone who used the word fuck on such a way.
“Pinkie that’s a bad word.” Twilight reprimanded this caused the Pink mare’s eyes to widen in shock before she pulled her tongue out of mouth and watched in shock. Applejack send a glare in James direction not that he cared.
More hooves were heard outside and both men knew who it was and they waited for the imminent gasp. Rarity appeared in the door opening dragging Fluttershy with her using her magic and when she saw James.
*Gasp*
Both Johann and James rolled their eyes at the way both predicted how it would go. “It’s like I am reading some fan made story again,” Johann mumbled under his breath. Celestia picked up on both men irritation and cleared her throat to get their attention.
“Girls you have met our two guests James and johann.” She began obviously Johann had hid quite well as the girls minus Pinkie only noticed the second human after Celestia gestured to him and they gasped as they saw him. (If they already don’t trust James imagine how they feel about a human with a creepy mask and a look of that of an assassin or a typical ‘bad guy’).
“Princess are they monsters?”
“Princess what are they?”
“Princess are they criminals?”
“Princess why does that one wear a mask?”
And so they kept coming and coming and coming and on one point Johann simply couldn’t handle it anymore and so for the first time in a long very long time Johann took a deep breath and unleashed a voice upon the poor mares that matched if not surpassed the royal Canterlot voice. “Silence!!! Your whining is insufferable for my head so for the love of god shut up and allow your princess to explain!!!!”
‘Looks like my sister found her equal.” Celesia mused under her breath amused as she thought about her sister’s royal Canterlot voice regardless it had worked to silence the remaining element bearers so she continued.
“Both of them have rather crude language.” This earned her another face palm from James and a deep sight from Johann. She kept it simple explaining who they were and where they came from whilst leaving out some sensitive subjects like the apocalypse, the knife fight, the combat experience of both men halfway through Luna appeared in the room silently making her way over to Johann who just sat there motionless waiting just like James for the explanation to end after his little outburst.
The girls asked questions some were answered others were passed up after what seemed like an eternity Celestia said. “I propose we all have breakfast together tomorrow so we can discuss a few things Twilight should be fine by tomorrow now this earned the attention of both men especially that of Johann.
“Wait a minute she took a .357 round in the leg I wasn’t a doctor, but I studied medical science so please enlighten me over why you think she will be able to leave tomorrow?”
“Magic,” The princesses and Twilight replied simultaneously.
Johann could only come up with one response. “This is messed up!” both men shared the same thought. ‘Perhaps it would be beneficial to not kill James/Johann if I want to keep my sanity in this place.’
The princesses and much to both men reliefs the girls departed to their respective rooms both Johann and James stayed with Twilight after promising to not kill one another. Twilight could feel the tension between both men however both told her a lot about the fandom of the show for a good while before they all fell asleep or in the case of James an Johann a deep rest as neither felt comfortable completely lowering their guard in the presence of the other.
From the apocalypse to Equestria
James looked at the sleeping form of Johann with bloodshot eyes. He couldn’t think straight anymore his paranoia was getting at one of it’s infamous peek moments again. On these moments he felt like he was being watched from everywhere his eyes couldn’t look at like the paranoia normally seen wasn’t bad enough his arch-nemesis in the same room increased it even more to the point that he hadn’t even been able to close his eyes for more than ten minutes each time and that had been already rather generous.
Johann had been resting as well obviously just as trustful of him as James was of him not that it mattered much Twilight would be out of the infirmary today and then he would get his own chamber hopefully so he wouldn’t need to worry about Johann killing him anymore. ‘argh what am I saying to myself the infected couldn’t keep him from me what are these ponies going to do if he really wanted me gone?’ James thought grimly.
‘New world means new chances who knows you have thought about burying the war axe who says he hasn’t had the same thoughts?’ A voice asked.
‘Because he’s a psychopath even if he acts civil around these ponies he is hiding his real side from them!’
‘Or perhaps he is showing his real side? Huh did you ever think about it that something made him become insane, bloodthirsty, lightly sadistic, genocidal, hateful, emotionless, insecure, …?’
‘Yeah, wait insecure?!?!?!?’
‘Yeah, insecure or why do you think he still wears that mask not much point to it here huh there are only two bipeds like you two in this realm from what you know and I think if he does something even masked than they’re going to know who of you two did it.’
‘Fair point, but still you expect me to forgive him after everything he put me and the others through?’
‘I didn’t say forgive or forget, but I do think it would be beneficial to hear out his part of the story remember a story always has two sides to it!’
James thought about those words for a bit it was true a story did have two sides and whilst his time with Johann before he tried to kill their asses was only brief he could not help, but notice the complete 180° mood change that the guy had gone through when they first talked with him and his little group the first time to the time when they were fighting over the map in the hospital and definitely the first time they encountered him after he escaped from that horde well let’s just say that James thought that someone had stolen the mask and pretended to be the Medicine man.
The guy’s behavior had gone from civil to savage to eventually completely psychotic it had been obvious something bad something extremely bad had happened to the guy after he had escaped that horde that had appeared from almost everywhere after a car alarm had went off for a still unknown reason for James.
What had happened to the man across him? Whatever it was it was something that had been capable of turning a sane person into a bloodthirsty killer now during an apocalypse that was not unusual if it was infected who were killed not if said bloodlust was aimed at fellow humans.
‘You see perhaps there is more to him than meets the eye.’ The voice spoke again.
‘Fair enough it’s not like I have anything to lose from hearing his story.’
Twilight had started waking up and was now looking at him with sleepy eyes. “Good morning .” She said.
“Good morning to you too. How are you feeling?”
“Better.” She replied that was when he noticed that Johann was sitting motionless on his chair. ‘huh guy needs to have actually fallen asleep.’ He thought.
Suddenly the sound of wheels could be heard outside in the hallway and the door was opened revealing a nurse. “Good morning, I am here to give the princess her pills.” She announced James looked over at Johann who continued to sat motionless on the chair oh he knew the guy wasn’t sleeping anymore, but he was one good actor he would give him that.
He returned his gaze to Twilight and the nurse who was busy explaining how the pills were supposed to be used before exiting the chamber again. James took his backpack and got a can filled with beans out.
“James could I ask you a personal question?” He didn’t really like answering a personal question in ear reach of Johann, but he could at least hear what she wanted to ask.
“Ask and then I shall see if I want to answer.”
“What happened to your friends? Not the ones you travelled with before you came here, but I mean your friends from before the apocalypse surely you must have had those same with Johann.”
James weighted down his options he could tell both Twilight and Johann or he could wait till Johann was out of reach ah to hell with it what does it matter if he knows or not.
“My friends were a bunch of back stabbing bastards I helped a friend whenever he needed help, but when I needed help then they were like ‘sorry, no time or got better things to do.' and when shit hit the fan those fucks left me for dead!”
James please calm down she purposely left out the ‘you’re waking Johann’ part because she knew he could give less whether he was asleep or not. The human was pacing back and forward fuming with rage at his ‘friends’
James was too busy fuming and Twilight too busy in trying to calm him down that neither of them noticed how Johann’s breathing had increased underneath his mask Johann on his turn was thinking back to his so-called friends as well oh he hadn’t forgotten what they had done to him when the shit hit the fan in Belgium nor would he ever forgive them either.
The outbreak in Europe had happened almost two years earlier than the one in America so he had seen the signs earlier than the Americans themselves after all governments do work the same on a few ways first trying to keep everything silent before all hell breaks loose is one of those ways.
Regardless he decided to stop his act as he was certain of it James had seen through it already so he faked waking up slowly with a yawn he got the attention of the two others and he said. “Good morning.”
By now Twilight was absolutely certain of it the coldness in his voice was normal as it seemed to stay in every situation it’s heaviness depending on the situation, but it was always more or less present. “Good morning you managed to get some sleep in the chair I see.”
‘Nothing worth mentioning.’ He thought. “A bit. How are you feeling?”
“Quite good just a bit of pain in my leg, but that’s it.”
“Good to hear that.” He said sincerely.
At least the raspy part she had heard from Luna that his voice had contained was gone although she did wonder how that part had come to existence it probably came because he didn’t use his voice a lot so he probably preferred solitude rather than working with others.
She had mixed feelings about the two James with his unpredictable temper and Johann’s almost complete lack of emotions made her nervous around them both however both had the potential to be good friends as both showed traits for that however they also had the potential to be cold blooded killing machines she hoped the former.
She pitied both of them she could see the nervousness of James like he was constantly being watched no being should live in constant fear and Johann’s eyes sweet Celestia she would never be able to get those eyes out of her mind those dull green orbs almost empty of any emotions besides the occasional sadness, hate and alertness like their sole purpose was judging and she didn’t want to think about what those eyes had judged back in their world.
Before anymore words could be said a knock on the door

Rarity and Rainbow Dash were walking to Twilight’s room with a simple mission collect Twilight and the two humans and join the others for breakfast simple enough right at least Rarity hoped that it was she knew Rainbow did not like the two and she was certain of it that feeling was mutual so she prayed that both parties especially Rainbow could control themselves.
Definitely the masked one by the name of Johann gave her the creeps she had been unable to see his eyes, but the rest of his appearance had certainly done a good job in giving her an uneasy feeling she had no idea if the others noticed it, but she as a fashionista had taken notice in their clothes and had thus noticed small scratches that looked like something had attacked both of them and she was certain of it that those two had faced things worse than Rainbow so to say she didn’t want her friend searching trouble with those two would be an major understatement.
Rarity had noticed that besides her and Fluttershy no one seemed to be willing give these humans a chance so she was disappointed. Hadn’t her friends learned anything from the Zecora incident? She could not necessarily blame them as most enemies they faced were of strange origin, but that was still no reason to provoke them into hostile actions.
“Hey Rares what do you think of those two?”
“Darling, I haven’t spoken with either of them and barely seen them it’s much too soon to judge them although I find them rather interesting perhaps you should keep an open mind about those two they helped Twilight after all.”
“Perhaps they are just trying to fool us so they can take us down from the inside like Chrysalis did.”
“Rainbow please try to be a bit more open minded we cannot just go around accusing everything that isn’t a pony from wanting to conquer Equestria. Why are you persistent on this” Rarity said on a bit more dramatic way. Rainbow said on a colder tone.
“Why? Because I don’t want my friends or anypony or any non-pony getting hurt by two hairless apes!”
Only then the pair realized they had arrived by their destination. “We shall finish this on a later occasion,” Rarity whispered before knocking on the door using her hoof the door was opened and they were allowed entrance by James without a word in the corner sat Johann besides some small movements like breathing there was no indication that he was even alive.
Rainbow shot both of them a glare neither of them even acknowledged her presence. Rarity however had Johann’s gaze locked upon her she didn’t know if she should be happy that unlike her friend he at least acknowledged her presence because now she had his cold look aimed at her.
She didn’t sense any malice just cold emptiness so for now she ignored it and went over to Twilight.
“Hey Twilight, we came to collect you guys for breakfast.”
“Thank you, I am starving.” Twilight replied however she had not noticed the glare her friend had shot the two humans, but was glad the two arrived when they did granted the humans if they tried managed to hold interesting conversations, but James temper and Johann’s lack of emotions where slightly unnerving her whilst acceptable normally seen if you have been alone in a room with them for some hours already it started to take a toll on her. “I am certain of it James and Johann are up for some food as well.”
“I prefer to eat alone, but I shall join you in breakfast as I am interested in what types of beverages your castle has access to.”
“Very well then like you wish.” Twilight replied he had to give her credits she hid her disappointment extremely well.
“James tried to find a way out, but before he could even come up with an excuse his stomach grumbled earning a victorious grin from Twilight as she wanted to know how both humans acted around more than one pony.
“So how are you getting out of that bed?” James asked as he directly brought a serious issue in card. Twilight opened her mouth, but close it again after she found no response. She wasn’t allowed to stand on the leg for the remainder of the day, She had started eating a bit more ever since she had become a princess so Rainbow wouldn’t be able to carry her anymore and Alicorns were more resilient to magic so Rarity couldn’t levitate her either.
“Don’t worry I have a plan.” Johann stated before moving towards her only to be blocked by Rainbow flying right in front of his face.
“Let us get a few things straight sweat chick first of all get the fuck out of my face, secondly don’t try shit like that again unless you want to be in Twilight’s place here in the infirmary and finally I am going to carry her to whatever location breakfast will be held at is that clear?!”
Rainbow looked about ready to explode until Rarity coated her in her magic to pull her out of the way so Johann could continue his path. He silently went to work to shut Twilight heart rate monitor off as to prevent the medical staff from thinking her heart had stopped before pulling of the wires connected to her body when he was done he carefully wrapped her in his arms.
Twilight shifted a bit to make herself comfortable it felt extremely rare because he had chosen to not wear his raincoat she was pressed against the cool metal plates that processed in the jacket it acted the same way as normal armor did only it was much more silent as the plates didn’t touch each other being separated by a heavy type of fabric.
Johann was satisfied with the result as well he found that she didn’t weight that much as long as he did not need to walk across the entire castle this would be bearable. “I’ve got my eye on you monkey thing no funny stuff understood,” Rainbow snapped earning a sight from Rarity.
“Sure thing sweat chick I’ve got my eyes also over you.” Johann said on a semi-perverted way.
“Hey if I catch you looking at my flank you will get ….” Rainbow growled.
“So you immediately assumed I would be looking at your flank wouldn’t you like that?”
Rainbow blushed, but before the situation could get out of control Rarity stated. “I am quite hungry so please follow me.”
James had watched the display with great amusement oh Rainbow Dash had no idea with whom she was playing with, but she would soon find out that Johann was quite a good player when it came down to playing certain types of games.
In the hallway Twilight balanced herself a bit more. ‘How far can a dining room be in a castle?” Johann wondered not that she was very heavy, but still long distance could give him some trouble.

So this is defenitely not a way of me to say to not notify me of enormous grammar mistakes, this is not a way to say I have the right to write a story with dozens of mistakes in it, neither of saying that I don't care about your comments for I truly care about them. This is simply a way to notify those of you that want to give constructive criticism that my capabilities of finding errors are less developed as others and to kindly ask you to take that into account.

About the comment on the grammar please note, I wrote most of this chapter before the comment. I will try and work on the comma's starting from chapter 6!
Chapter 5
Ok, perhaps he had slightly underestimated how far the dining room would be from the infirmary, but it wasn’t a big deal his better physique had not let him down. Johann finally arrived at the door of what was supposed to be the dining room (or hopefully for Rainbow Dash because if she had purposely made them go the wrong way she would get it.) the entire goddamn way the annoying blue pegasi had kept her gaze locked upon him to the point he had needed to suppress himself from knocking her out.
Suppressing that was something he hadn’t needed to do in a long time and already he had to put up with her behavior he knew sooner or later this would end badly for the two of them no doubt no one would like it if he hurt the blue mare (minus James).
“We’re here monkey things so you better behave.” Rainbow stated warningly.
“You better pray this is the right location or I will give you a close up from the floor and walls of this hallway!” Johann hissed back with quite a lot of venom mixed in with his cold voice whilst she kept up her tough posture he could see the fear in her eyes building up.
“Johann that wasn’t kind of you and I had expected better from you as well Rainbow.” Twilight stated disappointed in the two which only earned her an annoyed sight from the masked human and some mumbling from Rainbow.
Rarity also sighted she could already tell the masked human was not having a high opinion of Rainbow it would be for the better to keep Rainbow away from the two as much as possible. James had been silent the entire way seemingly uninterested in the argument not that she could blame him she herself would have liked to just go alone to the dining room rather than putting up with the high tensioned atmosphere around them.
The guards next to the door silently opened the door seemingly ignoring the argument between the creature and one of the element bearers. The group stepped into the dining room and the doors closed behind them.
The dining hall was well big very big enough to make both men think it was a ballroom. The walls were white with some golden curves here and there. The dining table was the biggest both men had seen in their lives. The only two ponies of interests where Shining Armor and Cadence who James guessed Celestia had called up he recalled her speaking about the humans being acquainted with all the royalty (he wondered if Johann was notified of this).
Johann silently put Twilight in a seat next to her brother and looked around to see only a free spot next to Luna. ‘Fucking great!’ Johann thought to himself not that he did not like the princess, but he had gotten a nightmare when he had fallen asleep at night and he dared to bet she had seen it, her attempts at averting her eyes at him confirmed his thought. ‘This is going to be awkward.’ Johann sat down next to the princess unsure how to react.
Unseen by anybody Cadence started shivering as princess of love she could sense emotions love was a warm emotion, but the masked creature was well she felt nothing he wasn’t warm or cold. The masked one only possessed a calculated hatred and the other one possessed a hot fury combined with sadness and longing whilst these later ones were also present in the masked one he more represented an empty void.
Both humans were in a bad mood not only had the nightmare from Johann once again made his hatred of James rise and James inability to find sleep his hatred of Johann there had also been a certain annoying blue pegasi who had pissed off the men already.
“Good morning James and Johann.” Celestia said whilst both men were not in a mood to say anything they did not want to be disrespectful to their host and managed to pull themselves together enough to give a polite answer although both Cadence and Shining Armor shivered from Johann’s cold voice.
After both men had taken a seat the princess spoke again. “So what will you two eat?”
“I will take a fried egg, some bread and some orange juice,” James said.
“I only eat in solitude so I will just take a cool glass of water if possible.” Johann replied Celestia frowned a bit, but quickly regained her normal posture.
“Are we not good enough to share a meal with.” Rainbow challenged.
“I withhold my opinion about your friends for a while, but I can guarantee you that I do not see forward of sharing a meal with you.”
If Rarity had not used her magic to hold rainbow’s tail she would have probably charged at the human. James took off his gloves and tossed them on the table before laying back in the chair. Johann chose to sit as motionless as possible making an uncomfortable silence fall over the group.
Luna did not look at Johann she knew he knew she had seen his nightmare and the glance he had shot her was all too clear ‘Don’t say a word about it.’ It was a cold, threatening, hateful and what hurt the most a disappointed look. He was disappointed in her for looking in his dreams she knew she had broken his trust and regaining that would be hard.
She had tried to appear to not have seen the nightmare, but the horrors it behold were too much to hide and he had seen it in her eyes her fear, her disgust, her pity for him. “Sorry.” She whispered almost inaudible.
“You should be! Make sure it does not happen ever again and I am prepared to let this one fall.” He whispered back empathizing the word ever. His tone was cold and the warning was clear although it lacked the hate his glance had contained she knew he had not forgiven her and would never forgive her this was the best she would get. She meant sorry in more than one way not only had he been sorry for intruding in his dream, but also for him having to live through such horrors.
Johann realized he was harsh against the lunar princess, but she should have been smarter than to come uninvited in his dreams the only reason he had let It fall was because this was part of her job entering the dreams of her subjects to help them and guide them through their fears, but he would not forgive her because that would have been a lie he knew he would never forgive her truly. He knew he could not there would always be some distrust left in his heart.
“Do you two miss your homes?” He heard Rarity ask. Did he miss his home? His sole purpose there was to get revenge and whilst James friends were now out his reach he could not exactly say he cared those who he really wanted he had already killed. He had no one left and lived in constant fear.
“No!” he heard James reply emotionlessly.
“No, not a bit.” He replied. This earned shocked looks from everyone except from the three princesses that knew the story.
“But isn’t that the place where everything that makes you happy is? Like your friends and your family don’t you miss those?” Pinkie asked shocked both men became silent it had been a while since both thought back about those who they had lost.
“Girls!” James and Johann prefer to not talk about their homes.
“Why?” Rainbow asked now getting extremely suspicious.
“Ah reckon you guys own us some answers.” Applejack said looking at the two. “Ah can tell both of you are hiding something.” James looked at Celestia and Luna for some help whilst Johann just remained silent hopefully the princesses changed the subject after a little bit both men knew there was no such luck.
“We own you nothing!” James hissed angrily his tone not being liked by Rainbow whose temper would match a burning lit which had almost reached the barrel of sulfur it was attached to.
“Now you listen,” She started before being interrupted by Johann.
“No, you listen you flying pain in the butt you keep that annoying mouth of yours shut unless you want to be in the infirmary in Twilight’s place and I will make sure of it you won’t fly for quite some time is that clear!” Johann’s outburst startled everyone yeah sure the two had make threats earlier, but now they could all sense that for the first time Rainbow was standing on extremely thin ice.
“You are just a big grumpy Meanie Mcmeaninson Do you threaten everypony where you are from to put them in the infirmary I doubt you have much friends or people who like you.” Pinkie said angrily as she jumped in her friend’s defense huffing in annoyance.
BOOM!!! The sound echoed through the entire room as Johann’s fist connected to the table making all the ponies look at the masked human. He looked at Pinkie Pie with eyes filled with rage and hatred which made her start trembling “And you.” He pointed at Pinkie Pie. “Let me get one thing straight you pink nuisance! I have never threatened someone before to kick their asses in the infirmary if I threaten someone those persons end up needing a morgue rather than an infirmary is that clear as to your comment on friends they are no longer of my concern!”
Pinkie was now shaking in fear, but Johann wasn’t done yet with his rant now he was busy, he would say his thoughts now loud and clear for everyone to hear. “And you!” He spat now he pointed at Applejack who shrunk under his glance. “Next time you think you think someone owns you something you better make damn sure those persons actually own you something and one more thing you better start working on speaking to me with a tad more respect because the only thing that has prevented me thus far from sewing your mouths shut are the princesses is that clear” All three of them nodded still shaking in fear.
Johann calmed a bit when suddenly a yellow blur was in his face and he looked at a very angry Fluttershy. “Do you think you can just go around and threaten somepony! Do you think it is fun to do so!” She then stared in his eyes attempting to use the stare.
He countered with his own stare and his was clearly superior as the yellow mare started trembling and shivering. “Still feeling up to challenge me?” Fluttershy quickly shook no and returned to her place. Johann grinned inwardly he had reduced four ponies to absolute wrecks.
“Stop this immediately!!!” Celestia bellowed sternly.
“I will stop this indeed immediately! I am out of here I have been disrespected enough times today already!!!” Johann bellowed rivaling Celestia’s voice. “I have been threatened, offended and discriminated and I still don’t even have my bloody cool water!!!! I am disappointed in you ponies! You tell us about love and tolerance yet those three!” he pointed at Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Applejack “Those three have discriminated me more than I have ever been in my entire life before I even got my glass of cool water!” All the ponies shrunk back in their seats whilst James was watching with great amusement.
“I am out of here!” Johann exclaimed before storming towards the door.
“Johann.” Celestia tried, but was silenced immediately by him.
“Save your voice princess! I will find that water on my own! I hope you enjoy your breakfast.” That was the last they heard of him before he stormed out of the room. Followed by the ponies coming in with their food looking a bit pale. ‘A calm Johann is creepy an angry one is just a living nightmare.’ James mused happily in his mind as a pony set down his order in front of him and he started eating like nothing had happened whilst the pones seemed to have been petrified in their seats.

Johann was walking through the hallways he had managed to calm down quite a bit already not a single guard had stopped him although he did notice a lot of ponies hurrying away from him not that he cared he doubted they would be useful for him anyways. He walked around a corner and bumped against a green flying blur.
“Awh! Oh I am sorry oh it’s you uhm,” Dream said as she saw who it was.
“Johann Wolf, but just call me Johann.” He replied as he helped Dream back up.
“Thank you Johann once again I am sorry for bumping into you.”
“Don’t be it was as much my fault as it was yours anyway what are you doing here?” He asked, secretly quite happy he ran into the mare as he found her rather nice company making her besides Luna and Twilight the only enjoyable pony in this castle so far.
“I was just wandering a bit I just finished up arranging the storage room so I have some free time. How about you? What drove you to this part of the palace?”
He debated on whether to tell her what had happened in the dining room or not after thinking it through he decided to go for it so he told her what had occurred she seemed hocked at his story. “Dear Celestia! I had not expected four of the elements of Harmony to react such way.
Dream looked at him with a sympathetic smile. “Follow me I know where to find a drink.”
The two walked through the hallways. Johann happy that he was finally making some progress after a while they arrived at Dream’s room and entered. “I hope you don’t mind, but I am afraid if I bring you to the kitchen there’s going to break out panic.”
“It’s no problem I am grateful for your hospitality and helpfulness I shall find a way to get some food myself.”
“I have some leftovers if you want it’s not much, but it’s yours if you want.”
“I am grateful once again for your help however I prefer to eat in solitude I hope you understand.”
“Don’t worry I prefer that as well.” Dream went over to a table and showed him the leftovers of some cheese, bread and a jar filled with water. He filled a glass with the water and took out another straw and started drinking whilst he didn’t say anything Dream saw the water did him good as he visibly relaxed as he drank.
“You seem to enjoy your water quite well.” Dream noted.
“Yes, water is my favorite beverage and I was quite thirsty.”
“Not to pry or anything, but why do you actually wear the mask to begin with it doesn’t seem to be that handy?” Dream asked curiously.
“You would be surprised how many times this mask has helped me whilst it’s makes me unable to eat as long as I wear it and only able to drink through a straw it makes me able to withstand certain types of bullets not all, but a few of the more used types for handguns above that melee weapons are also not very efficient so they can’t land any cheap blows on my face above that one cannot find a man of whom he does not know how he looks making it harder for my enemies to track me down.”
“I assume you had many of those.” Dream stated not exactly knowing what guns were.
“You could say that although most of them are dead by now.” Johann stated flatly to his surprise she didn’t cringe or anything when he stated they died like the other ponies had when he told them about death. “You don’t seem very taken aback by me stating they died whereas all ponies I have told this to cringed at least well besides Luna, but god knows what she all saw in the nightmares of her subjects although even she was fazed when she intruded my nightmare.
“Well, it’s personal, but let’s just say I dealt with death on more ways than most ponies before if you ever need a listening ear come to me,” She said smiling weakly.
He was touched by the offer and glad he had someone besides Luna who had gone through some hard times well Celestia had probably seen her fair share, but he did not like the princess that much as he was certain of it she was watching him with hawk eyes to see if he messed with her subjects.
“Thank you I will be sure to take you up on that offer one day know that. Know that the same thing applies to you if you need a listening ear just come to the hairless monkey thing.” Johann said using the nickname Rainbow Dash had given him (he would get her back for that one from the moment he found a good one).
Dream needed to suppress a giggle at the name granted his cold voice (she was sure of it that voice was his natural now). Didn’t make it sound like it was a way to break the ice so to speak, but she knew he did mean it like that even if he didn’t show it. Oh how she wondered how he looked underneath that mask did he look like the other creature or did he look completely different, but for now she took contentment in it that she was one of the few the human (as she had found out his species was called) trusted.

James had had an interesting day to say the least he had seen Johann lose his calm, had seen all ponies including the princesses get petrified and had eaten a good meal for the first time in quite some time. He knew Johann wasn’t truly offended as much as he had made it look, he was just a good actor no doubt he just wanted to make them feel guilty.
If that was the case he had succeeded the looks the ponies had after his department where priceless and made him wish he had a photo camera or anything else to record them with. To his delight princess Cadance had turned out into a pleasurable conversation partner and even if her husband needed some improvements he had been better than most of the elements although it was quite hard to give him a worse welcome than that of the elements.
Now his day had returned to being boring (meaning aimlessly around the castle). “Oh Johann so got lost in this place, no way he found that storage room on purpose.” He mumbled under his breath as he wandered on occasionally passing a guard or some servants none bothered to greet him instead opting for hurrying themselves away from him even the guards, although they made it a bit less obvious.
“James wait up!” He heard a voice call out and when he turned around he saw princess Luna, so he waited a bit for her to catch up.
“Have you had any luck locating Johann?” Only after Luna had asked the question did she realize how stupid that sounded granted the two had not had any more knife fights (to her knowledge), but they definitely didn’t get along enough for James to worry about his current location.
“Can’t say I have.” He replied drily wondering if the princess realized how ridiculous the question sounded.
“Listen I want to apologize for everyponies behavior to you and Johann, although I have a lot of trouble to track him down due to your resistance against magic.”
He could feel genuine sorrow in her eyes. “Listen you have nothing to apologize for as you have not offended me in any way nor have you done such a thing to Johann.” However as he said that he could see the princess’s eyes darken a bit if only briefly.
“You did something stupid with him didn’t you?”
“Yes, but promise to not tell Johann or anyone else off of this.”
“I promise.”
“I went into his dreams to try and get a better understanding of how your world looked and let’s just say, I got more than I bargained for and he was able to somehow figure out I intruded his dreams and well he made me promise to not tell anyone what I saw.” She finished silently.
He had conflicted feelings one part of him wanted to comfort her for he had an idea what kind of madness she saw in there, but another part wanted to lash out at her for daring to intrude into someone’s dreams even if that guy was Johann. He decided to comfort her as he was sure of it Johann had already got the point across.
“I am sorry you saw that I can imagine what it was like.”
“Thank you I shall not intrude either of you two’s dreams anymore.” Luna spoke up before turning to walk away. He could hear her unable something along the lines of. “So many and so violent!”
Right before she exited the room Luna turned around and said. “If you find Johann please tell him to come to the throne room at midnight. We have some things to discuss.” Before she closed the door behind her whilst James had no clue what was so important that Johann needed to talk to her at midnight he assumed she had her reasons and so he continued his path.
From the apocalypse to Equestria
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. From the apocalypse to Equestria
The city of Chicago was once the third most populated city of America besides New York and Los Angeles and one could argue that this was still the case the only difference was that the once living streets were now filled with the infected during day time they shuffled around aimlessly in search of food, but at night well at night it looked like someone decided to inject them with adrenaline and the slow, stupid infected became true predators they became fast and whilst still dumb they were much more ferocious.
The city was silent as the stage from dusk to night started not many sounds were heard, but from the few sounds that were made only one wasn’t natural and that was the sound of metal clashing and before that shooting. Whilst in the streets the infected were busy shuffling aimlessly for the last few moments of the day before the night would give the renewed power on the construction site of a medium sized office building two men were battling with each other both willing to fight to the very end.
One of those men was James Hendrik Miller. He was wearing a brown leather jacket, A grey shirt underneath it, blue jeans with knee and shin guards strapped to his legs, black leather boots. He kept gazing at his opponent with dull brown eyes. The same eyes who belonged to a man who lived in a hell and had faced and survived the horrors of said hell. His black hair was a mess it was dirty and sticky of the sweat that had covered his entire body as a result of the fight around his body hung multiple bandoliers full with ammunition for the his fire arms not that they mattered for the moment both men had managed to get rid of their opponent fire arm leaving them to a deadly melee weapon fight.
Finally he wore an old WW2 helmet giving to him from his grand-father who served in the Atlantic theatre and thick brown leather gloves originally he had also worn a black bandana around his face, but his opponent had managed to pull it off of him leaving it on the ground not that it mattered to James as he found it easier to fight without it.
His opponent was truly a dangerous nemesis he had to admit and a persistent one as well. He didn’t know his true name, but back in New York where he had first encountered the man the survivors had nicknamed him the Medicine man as seemingly the man was capable of making medicines an extremely use full trait in the apocalypse he had to admit. James had to admit he knew jack shit about the Medicine man. He didn’t knew his origin, his name, where he came from, but he knew what he wanted a map James and his companions had managed to find in the King country hospital in New York city.
The map contained information about safe zones, military outposts, heavily infected area’s, etc quite use full so when he demanded that map saying they weren’t enthusiastic about his idea would be an understatement. He had claimed to have found the map first and store it there, but that was quite easy to say about such use full stuff wasn’t it definitely in an apocalypse an well long story short they had managed to drive him off and since then he had stalked them, attempted multiple times to steal the map and had killed a few of them.
James eyes started stinging as he remembered how the Medicine man had shot his friend Samuel after Sam like James had nicknamed him refused to tell him their whereabouts talking about the Medicine man James shot out of his trance in time to duck underneath a swing of one of the mountain climbing pickaxes of the Medicine man who used them as axes they perhaps didn’t look dangerous as weapons in comparison to James machete, but they definitely where.
He didn’t knew anything about the Medicine man’s past so he didn’t knew whether this guy had combat experience or not, but he was in any case good with those two mountain climbing pickaxes and whilst his hand to hand combat wouldn’t beat a professional soldier for new recruits it perhaps would do the trick as well as for most normal civilians lucky thing James family was a military one and that meant James had gotten some training already.
Both fighters had advantages and disadvantages James clothing allowed for more maneuverability and agility whereas the clothing of the Medicine man allowed some more protection against hits. The Medicine man wore something that looked like an own fabrication as the black vest he was wearing had metal plates in it as well as some heavier cloth in between to prevent the metal plates from hitting each other with shoulder pats as well as build in elbow protectors James had tried it before and no bullets didn’t seem to be able to penetrate that jacket.
His pants were a lot simpler just ordinary black jeans with knee and shin guards attached to his legs. He also wore black leather boots and finally a metal mask also bullet proof in case you ask underneath the vest he probably wore a black sweater with a high collar as it covered his entire neck.
The mask itself was rather terrifying if you didn’t expect to see it. The mask was mostly white except for the right upper quarter of the mask if you looked good you saw two dull gray-green eyes lurking from the depth of the eye holes it was strapped around his head with two strong straps to ensure It was nearly impossible to loose in a battle.
Normally seen the medicine man also wore a long black raincoat with the hood pulled over his head so you could literally see nothing of his body, but he had taken it off earlier on as too increase his agility thus enabling people to see the messy brown sweaty hair whilst it wasn’t warm it definitely wasn’t cold so James couldn’t help, but wonder how that guy managed to keep wearing that entire attire sometimes replacing his mask with a gasmask whenever he felt like starting to use those blasted gas grenades of his.
The two men clashed again with their weapons. James using his machete to hold one pick axe in place whilst grabbing his opponent wrist to keep the other in check after a few seconds his opponent decided to stop trying to move the pickaxes instead using a good old headbutt to make James stumble back a few feet.
The Medicine man let out a loud battle cry as he attacked once again mercilessly trying to break through James defenses a loud roar was heard not far of their position, but neither of the two paid attention to it one to busy trying to impale the other with his ice pickaxes and the other too busy trying to not get impaled by the ice pickaxes
James tried everything he could think off, but the Medicine man was the better melee weapon fighter of the two. He felt a stinging pain in his right leg as one of the ice pickaxes was slashed with a lot of force in the leg making him drop on the ground, but right before his opponent could finish him a huge beast rammed a hole through the wall whilst letting out an ear deafening battle cry. James paled and he was pretty sure that the medicine paled underneath his mask as well after all standing face to face with a berserker type infected does tend to do that to you.
James made use of the temporary distraction of his opponent to use his machete to cut deep in his leg not deep enough to hit the bone it did the trick his opponent stood rather close to the edge and the cut destabilized him enough to make him fall over. James heard a loud BOOM!!! As the body of his nemesis hit the ground followed by some agonizing cries of pain. He allowed himself to briefly look over the edge to see his nemesis status and found the Medicine man laid impaled on the ground by three sharp metal pipes disabling him from almost any movement to be honest it was a wonder the guy was still alive.
He only looked briefly at his fallen enemy as the berserker started charging towards him and with his wounded leg there was no way he was going to get away berserkers where one of the few species of infected that seemed to be able to run, etc during day as well. The berserker grabbed him and right before it wanted to kill him the concrete bar that supported that part of the floor forsake underneath the enormous weight of the berserker and James, the berserker and a part of the building went falling.
The impaled, but still living Medicine man could only watch in horror as he saw everything that came falling towards him. He closed his eyes and relaxed taking peace with his fate as James did the same in the knowledge his remaining companions would be save from the mad man that had followed them all the way from New York to Chicago both men completely relaxed as a bright light engulfed both of them.

Twilight was slowly adjusting to life in the palace seeing as she was the princess of magic ponies with magic came to her and seeing as Canterlot housed a lot of unicorns she was busy seeing as next to that she also needed to deal with affairs from the state needless to say she was BUSY!!!! in her free time she studied in the library and searched for new spells, etc. One day she found a trans-dimensional spell and her curiosity got the best of her of course she didn’t want to risk messing something up in the library so she memorized the spell and headed for her room to try it out there.
She focused all her magic and started activating the spell it required a big amount of energy much more than she had anticipated, but still within her power. A big white portal opened in the ceiling of her room and she closed her eyes to better concentrate when suddenly she heard two loud THUMP’S!!!! The sound of two things hitting the floor. She allowed herself to reopen her eyes and saw two beings.
She let out a small shriek and ran to the door. The guards who stood in front looked at her as she pointed at the middle one. “You go and get the princesses immediately!!!”
The guard saluted before running off as quick as possible a few minutes passed before princess Celestia appeared before her in a flash of white light. “Twilight why did you call for me ad with such urgency,” Celestia asked confused.
“Come in and look for yourself,” Twilight exclaimed enthusiastically before sprinting back into her room followed loosely by Celestia who immediately noticed the two strange beings laying on the floor.
“I used one of Starswirl The Bearded secret spells a trans-dimensional spell and I got actual living beings not some rock or something else actual living organic beings,” Twilights excitement was definitely noticeable.
Celestia looked at a loss these beings certainly didn’t look very peaceful and one of them was wearing an extremely unnerving mask it also looked like both of them carried a backpack the masked one also holding a black sport bag with what looked like some king of feline animal in white on it in his right hand.
Before she could say something another flash of light appeared in the room revealing her sister princess Luna who also noticed the two unconscious bipeds in the room. “May we ask thou why there are two unconscious beings on thine floor Twilight?”
After Twilight told the story to the princesses both seemed to think what to do next. “Well, seeing as we are probably stuck with those two uhm creatures for a while the best course of action we can do is probably trying to make them feel not threatened so for the time being I shall take one of them to my room to rest hopefully when it wakes up we can talk about this situation on a civil way,” Celestia proposed.
“Wouldn’t it be better to keep them in the same room perhaps they could calm each other down,” Twilight asked curiously.
“We agree with our sister on this one these creatures have just as much chance of having a soothing effect on each other as they have to have the opposite in group they might feel more safer to engage in hostilities than they are when separated,”
Twilight saw Luna’s point perhaps separated the two beings would less likely resort to violence. “So the masked one stays here?”
“No, we shall take him to our room. Thy deserve thine rest after performing such powerful spell,” Luna said before disappearing in a flash of light together with the masked creature and the stuff it had with it her example was followed shortly after by Celestia who took the other one and his stuff with her.

“It’s waking up!” A female voice said shortly followed by a male one who asked whether or not his eyes where responsive.
James tried to rub his eyes, but found they were bound. He tried to recall what had happened and slowly he remembered his fight with the Medicine man. “What had happened? Had he survived the fall and had someone been able to find him underneath the debris? How? He should have been death by now no one survives such thing.
“Get princess Celestia,” The male voice commanded followed shortly by what sounded like galloping.
“What is it? I have never seen something like him in Equestria?” A second female voice asked.
Okay, he was officially done with this bullshit. Princess Celestia, Equestria he knew those names well enough, but seriously this was an extremely bad joke from these guy. James opened his eyes and what he saw next stunned him in front of him were a few ponies.
“WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!” James exclaimed.

Meanwhile in princess Luna’s room the Medicine man or like he was really named Johann Wolf was in a similar position.
“It looks like some kind of ape although that mask prevents us from getting a good view I shall remove it to get a better look BIG FUCKING MISTAKE!!! From who ever said that combined with the fact they had bound the straps that bound him to the bed too loose within five seconds Johann had his fingers clutched tightly around someone’s throat when he opened his eyes he was met with two sights he had not expected. First being a gray horse thing whose neck he had in his hands and second being in a large room with dark purple walls with various emblems of a crescent moon in it.
“Where am I,” Johann hissed at the stallion who was petrified by fear. Johann could read the feelings of the horse fear, confusion even slight curiosity after a few seconds the stallion managed to stutter out one word a word he had heard for the last time a long time ago “Equestria.”
Before any of the two horses could do anything else Johann gripped what he guessed was a nurse and slammed the two’s head together not hard enough to kill, but hard enough to make them fall unconscious on the bed.
Johann tried to get out of the bed only to be stopped by a giant shot of pain in his chest which forced him down again. He managed to make his stomach area visible and saw three rather big scars on the spots where he remembered the metal pipes had managed to impale him. “Damn it that bastard got me good!”
He however saw his bag next to the bed and raised an eyebrow. “Yeah, like it isn’t hard enough to believe being in a land of talking horses they not only somehow saved me from death, but also got my stuff with me oh well better get those painkillers.”
He opened the bag and found the painkillers and took a few of them the effects went active within the next minute as the pain slowly disappeared after a good three minutes he didn’t feel any pain anymore and he attempted a second attempt at getting up this time earning the desired effect. He was to his satisfaction still completely covered meaning no one had seen his face. Johann really didn’t like it if people saw his face after all what use is a mask if everyone knows who’s underneath it.
To his relief he had his entire arsenal of weapons with him from his improvised gas grenades to the more lethal guns his personal favorite the Karabiner 98 Kurz or short Kar98k equipped with a telescopic sight this was truly a masterpiece. They could say about Nazi Germany everything they wanted, but they needed to admit the Germans knew how to build weapons. He made sure the weapon was armed not that he intended to kill any of the horses if he truly was in another world which it looked like he didn’t want to piss off the inhabitants of it (too much).
The Lunar guards that stood outside of princess Luna’s room looked at the door as it slowly opened a small container of some sort rolled outside and before any could respond the contained started shooting some kind of cloud everywhere before no time all the guards laid unconscious. The door opened again and a masked man walked through the cloud Johann had used the time to switch his normal mask with his gas mask.
He carefully made his way past the unconscious guards. “Sleeping gas such a handy thing wouldn’t you say,” Johann asked a sleeping guard and after getting no response after a few seconds he added. “Silence means you agree.” Before he continued his way through the castle hallways.

Princess Celestia arrived at her room when she heard. “HOW DID IT BREAK LOOSE?” followed by the sound of things getting thrown. The guard who had accompanied her readied himself, but she gestured him to stand down which he reluctantly did before using her magic to open the door almost immediately some ponies ran out of the room the last one being followed by a flowerpot.
She entered the room where she managed to duck just in time to dodge a vase which had been thrown her way and catch another one with her magic. “WHAT THE HELL DID YOU GUYS DO WITH ME?! TELL ME WHAT KIND OF DRUGS DID YOU USE TO POISON ME?!”
The biped yelled with a volume that could rival her sister’s royal voice. “We didn’t poison you. Princess Twilight used a spell which pulled you in our world!” This calmed him down.
“Why?”
“She tried out a spell and well she hadn’t expected you to come out of the portal she created,” Celestia explained as calmly as possible as not to aggravate the creature anymore.
Before the creature could reply a flash of light appeared revealing her sister who shot a vase at the creatures head knocking it out.
“Woohoo we have saved thee from this creature,” Luna exclaimed happily. Celestia could only gawk at her sister with open mouth.
Luna happy expression went from happy to shocked and finally to embarrassed. “We believe we have like ponies these days would say bucked up,” Luna replied whilst a small blush formed on her cheeks and she started looking at the ground.
“Well first contact cannot get any worse,” Celestia sighted like fate wanted to mess with her a guard opened the door of her room and said. “Princess the second creature has escaped!”
“Of course it does,” Celestia muttered under her breath.
