And while every human kingdom worships the six gods and many pay tribute to a single deity, it is the Dervish that holds the favor of all six. It is through their devotion and adherence to the teachings of the gods that we have held favor with the gods on a near constant basis. So, they are indeed fanatics, but they are also those who bless our world, their piety is so great."[/size]

[/size]My name is Duhona Looguna. I hail from the island of Istan in the Land of Golden Sun, Elona. At the age of five, a master dervish took me from a life as a street urchin and taught me the ways of the Dervish, the holy warrior of the gods. By the age of eight I had learned all that he could teach me and traveled the lands, seeking wisdom in all its forms. By fifteen, I and dozens of other heroes saved the world four times over. By thirty I had sired five strong children. By forty, I had taken my first apprentice. By sixty, I had outlived all my friends and comrades. And now, at the age of seventy-nine, I have been tasked by the gods to travel to a new world where the taint of malicious forces threaten to destroy everything.
