I could remember it all like it was yesterday, the trees blowing in the wind as the rain fought the ground causing the loud hissing noise to crawl into my navy blue ears. The light gray clouds choking the skies as my sister, Tia, was lowering the sun as I drank my warm honey and tea. The warmth of the tea flowed through my throat, causing me to let out a soft, yet powerful, happy sigh. I got up and walked to the wet, cold porch to raise the moon. The wind flowed through each strain of fur in my blue coat. "Goodnight sister." I said with a smile as the wind bursted and my mane flew in the wind. I put down my tea and let the blue aurora of my magic glow as I used my magic to raise the moon. I softly smiled as I gazed up at the cloudy sky. I then felt the magic in my horn go away as the moon fully came out of hiding. "Found ya!" I said with a warming smile as I used my magic to lift up my tea and calmly take a sip as it killed off the thrilling shivers my body was giving off. I walked back to the door when something caught my eye. It was a pond, not just any ordinary domestic pond, It was a pond with, not only the shimmer of the moon burning its amazing texture, but the trees around it gave me a warming welcome. I finished off my tea, opened the door and walked to the other side of the castle where my room was in. I took a towel out of my bathroom and dried off my soaking fur. I swept up my hoodie, ran to the porch, unfolded my wings, and flew off.
I folded up my wings as the rain poured down even harder. I walked the path, each step causing a hoof print to form onto the wet, hard path. My eyes inspecting each and every inch of the area as the rain patted my back, as if I did a good job and some pony actually was there. I saw a small, old abandoned shack, it still looked like a comfortable home for some pony. I glanced over and saw the pond. I ran over to it and looked to my left and saw a rope hanging from a tree, it had knots in it for foals to swing off of. I had the urge to run over and swing off of it, but it was too thin for a thirteen year old filly to use.
I walked over to the rope and inspected it. It had some broken threads here and there still holding on for dear life. I used my magic and pulled on it as hard as I could and it still was on the tree. I then took it and swung it back and forth with my right hoof. I smiled and walked over took the next spectacle. I saw a stone path that was leading me to the pond. It had the most interesting flowers riding along with the path, better than the ones in canterlot. I walked down the path and locked my eyes on something rather shiny. I felt my magic light up as the key telekinetically lifted up out of the pond. I then heard a powerful, young voice call my name. "LuLu! Where are ya? LULU?!!" I quickly put down the key and ran through the woods and passed the voice. I shuffled up to the mare. "Hi Tia!" I said with a playful tone. She quickly turned around and gave out a sigh. "Oh thank goodness Luna I thought you were lost... Anyway, you forgot your saddlebags, remember what mom used to say? Always bring stuff before ya go huff!" She giggled and handed me the soft black object. She trotted off as I put them on and smiled. "G'night!" I said with final wave as I made sure she was completely around the corner. I ran back to the pond and sat down on a tree stump for a while. I smiled as I walked over to the key. I used my magic to lift it once more. I put it in my bags and retired from standing to sitting. I lifted my hoof and touched the water curiously. I suddenly felt so happy, so free, so carefree. I then got up and galloped to the castle for breakfast.
I looked through the kitchen for something to eat and spotted a plate of food with a note. I lifted up the note and read it "for lulu, from Tia." I muttered as my eyes rolled over every word. It was a plate of cheesy broccoli. I licked my lips as I levitated the dish to the table. I took a seat and started eating. As the food rushed down my throat, the cheese soothed my cold mouth.
Once I finished my breakfast, I rushed back to the pond. As I walked the path, the rain slammed the ground, shattering as it made a small crater in the dirt path, I took a right turn, then a left one. Then, after a mile of walking the path, I saw the pond and ran to it. As I ran, I stumbled on a chest in the middle of the path. I landed with a powerful "oomf!" my bags crunched the ground as I rolled into the pond. I squealed in shock, But then I suddenly felt warm. That good feeling came back as I began to calm down. I smiled and looked up at the moon, it was right above me. "Lunch already?" I said to myself as I got up to my hooves and paused, I saw it, the chest, it was there. I instantly ran to my saddle bags with my soaking wet mane smacking my left cheek each gallop. I levitated the key up to the lock. It clicked and opened.
What was inside of the chest was a note, a wrinkled, old note with cursive writing. I flipped it open, cleared my throat, and read it.
"Dear diary, this will be my last entry before I block the pond. No pony will have the ability to see it unless they raise the moon high enough to enter. Once the moon is in the correct position and the spell is broken, some pony can enter the aria, and once they do, they will have 100% access to it 24/7."
I gasped and dropped the note. "Oh well." I said as I joyfully skipped home to eat lunch.
After Tia sets the sun, I put down my drink and start to raise the moon. Every day it's like this. I raise the moon, I set the moon, Tia raises the sun, she sets the sun. I just wish that there was another pony in my life now. I'm completely old enough. Tia just, well, isn't that fun anymore. I want at least a friend.
I exited the castle doors after breakfast, the nice sound of night ringing in my ears. I smiled and kept walking down the path when I suddenly rammed into something, well more like a some pony. "Oh, sorry ma'am I..." The colt looked at me in shock. "Hi!" I say as I put my smile back on.
"Oh, hi. I'm ocean blue." He says putting out a hoof. I lift up my hoof to give him a hoof bump. "Luna." I say once our hooves clink together. "Princess Luna." I say as I point a hoof at my crown. "Your a princess?" Says the navy blue colt. "Yeah, but trust me, being the princess of the night is not fun." I say as I poke his shoulder.
"So, what are you doing out here so late at night?" I ask him as I lead him to the pond. "Well, I was called here because a secret pond has appeared and I need to look for rare fish. It was an emergency." He said, rolling his eyes as he said the very last sentence.
"Wanna a be friends? I have never had a friend before." I ask him as we reach the pond. His white and blue mane fly around. I knew what he was going to say, it's what they always say. I knew that when I asked that question, I could have just ruined everything. I knew he would say, "sure I'll be your friend!" He says right when I think he would say no.
My mind blew up into bits, I had no idea what to think anymore. So, I did what a surprised pony does, faint.
"Are you there? Luna! Luna!?" Says a mare with a rather raspy voice. As I open my eyes I see ocean blue and a Pegasus with rather big wings, bigger than my mother's wings. Her mane was brown with red orange and yellow streaks in it, her coat was white and her eyes were hazel. "Luna! Wake up!" Says the blue unicorn.
I open my eyes a few times and get up. I suddenly see that ocean blue's cutie mark is three fish. "um, what's your talent Ocean?" I ask the unicorn. "Oh, studying fish." Says the colt.
I get up as the mare slowly shies away into a bush. "It's okay, I'm not going to bite you." I say as her wings begin to fold tighter than, well, something really tight. "You won't break my wings will you?" Asks the white mare. "Why would I do that?" I ask in confusion.
She opens her mouth to talk but then an alicorn appears out of nowhere and starts laughing.
"What the hay?" I yell out as the yellow coated alicorn looks at me and smiles with her mouth slightly opened. "Heh, cool crown!" She says as she trots up to she shy mare.
"Okay so the white one is brave dash, and the yellow one is time hopper. We're siblings." Says ocean blue as the sound of our voices crawl through the forest. "What are there talents?" I ask him as he takes a sip out of his bottle of water. "Time's talent is being able to freeze, go back, or stop time. And brave's talent is flying super light speed fast." He says as he points at the two giggling mares.
"I never knew how popular my 'place to relax and be myself' was." I say walking over to the chest.
I scratch my head, wondering if anything else was in it.
I begin to see the magical glow of some pony else's horn as I open the chest.
The sound of laughter in the background started to get a little annoying. "Ocean blue, can you go get them to be quiet?" I ask him as I telekinetically pull out the note and scout the wooden box.
"Hey, wanna stay out here for the rest of the night with me?" I ask as I find another key and place it in my saddle bags. "Sure!" Says the blue coated colt. "Yea, I'll stay! I have nothing else to do..." Says brave dash as she leaps into the air, does a flip, and then lands onto the ground, finishing the performance by folding her wings.
"I'll go fetch wood for a fireplace!" Says time hopper as she blasts into the woods.
As brave dash and I build the pit for the fire, ocean blue went off to gather small rocks. Brave dash started to open her mouth to say something but is interrupted by the yellow alicorn filly. " I'm back!" She says in a joyful singing voice.
"That was really really fast!" I say with a hoof pointing at time hopper. "Well, I can stop time for as long as I want to." She says. I see ocean come out of the woods with exactly twenty seven rocks telekinetically floating in the air. "I see your back as well." Says ocean as he looked at time. I roll my eyes and back away from the pit.
I watch as they place the sticks neatly into the hole and carefully plant the rocks around it. "Woah, that looks very nice you guys." I say as I fix a misplaced rock.
I scream once I see brave's tail turns into fire. "It's okay Luna, this is normal for fire pegasi." She says as she uses her tail to light the fire. "Vaulla!" She says once the fire is lit and her tail turns back into fur.
"Hey, wanna tell scary stories?" I ask finishing with a ghost noise. "Sounds awesome!" Says brave dash and time hopper, as if they knew what the other was going to say.
"It all began on a day where a stallion was trotting into town." Brave dash began but was interrupted by ocean blue. "We have heard that one so much it's old, pick another." "Okay." Says brave dash with an evil grin.
"It was a cold wet night as a mare ran into the forest. She turned left, right, then she ran off the path into the woods. She was being chased by something, but she had no idea what. She looked back and saw the black cloud of darkness flanking her. It has red eyes with a white, foamy mouth. She then saw a cliff and unfolded her silver wings and took flight. She then remembered that her wings were broken and so she screamed as loud as she could when suddenly a navy blue alicorn flew up and saved her. The monster then jumped off the mountain and suddenly turned into a rabbit. The end!" She ended with a jump.
I then saw it was becoming day as they all finished there stories. "Well, I'll be off to bed now!" I say walking off but then I rammed into another pony. "What's going on here?" Says the yellow coated colt. "We are... Camping!" I say as a smile sprouts onto my face.
"Well, I need to go! Bye friends!"
I say as hoof prints form behind me.
