Earth, pegasus, unicorn and alicorn ponies inhabit the land of equestria. There are other species of high intelligence like griffins, dragons and diamond dogs that can be found but they are not what we are here to talk about. We are here to talk about a specific type if pony, the pegasai are ponies of the sky. They are light weight and often more comfortable in the air than they are on the ground. They have the ability to walk on clouds and few can even perform near impossible sonic rainbooms (although only 1 has ever actually accomplished this).
All of this is true about the pegasai. Or at least most of the pegasai. There is one who has never flown with her own two wings, who has only walked on clouds twice and who hardly even remembers that she herself is a Pegasus.
The name if the pony is Scootaloo. She is still a young filly without her cutie mark and although some fillies take time to learn to fly, it is near impossible for a filly to take over a year. Scootaloo is of 8 years and still has only experienced flight by being held by another Pegasus.
Her wings are of usual and even optimum size and he has the perfect build to be an amazing flyer yet for some reason her wings do not seve her needs. So she shamefully uses her wings to propel her scooter.
Although scoot is missing out on the one thing that should give her a sense of belonging, she puts on a brave face a shows a happy outlook on life. She helped form the group the 'cutiemark crusaders' and although has no real family of her own, has brilliant friends and positive idol.
But even with these things scootaloo can't control the monster that grows within her as each flightless day passes. Scoot feels a pain in her heart whenever she sees others of her kind soar into the sky am put her measly self to shame. Scoots wet pillow is a constant reminder to her of how she has failed at being who she was made to be... And I you can't be yourself, why can you be?
