In the beginning,  the Titanian people were oppressed, their bodies considered forfeit by the evil that ruled them.

Daughters were raped, beaten and hung. Sons were beheaded,  and Fathers murdered every day. This desolation continued for five thousand years.

Until the Arrival of the Arch-Matron. She rounded the Titanian people,  and led them in revolt against their masters. The war lasted for a millennia, both sides taking enormous casualties. Finally, the Arch-Matron pushed the tyrants back and in a final, bloody battle. Destroyed them.

An era of unknown freedom fell upon the Titanian people. In their appreciation for the Arch-Matron,  crowned her Empress of the Titanian Empire.

Now, The Titanian Empire is a massive power in the galactic community. They have made many allies, as well as many enemies.

"Evasive manuevers now!"  I pulled up on the control stick, giving it all I have. It sputtered and sparked from the sheer amount of strength I was imposing on it. It resisted but I had a very important asset to protect, it was requested by the Arch-Matron herself, and I would not fail.

The craft rolled and dodged through space, red hot lances of energy narrowly missing their target. I pushed the stick right, small wires giving off sparks as servos struggled to comply. "Come on!" I muttered under my breath, desperately trying to avoid getting blown apart.

"To anyone still alive! Can you see who's attacking us?" I practically screamed the question into my communicator, before the ship was tossed around, a energy beam burning into the thin armor plating on the ship. I took a look out of the view port, I could see a planet, normally, this would have made me happy, except the planet was spinning out of control. 'Wait, oh, we're spinning........We're spinning!'

I frantically pulled up damage reports, cursing as the situation was dire. The last bolt had burned through our starboard engine, turning the machinery to molten metal. I prepped an emergency channel and screamed into the recorder.

"Mayday! Mayday! This is the cargo ship 'Death's Resupply' We are hit and falling towards an unknown planet, and are carrying a tier eight cargo! Should anyone hear this, the coordinates are eight-five-zero-zero-six sub-sector delt-"

I never finished the distress call before the console exploded into flames, sending red hot shrapnel into my face. The pain was blinding, like dozens of giant ants were crawling under my skin and ripping the flesh underneath. I frantically unhooked myself from the pilot's seat, falling to the ground as the ship was rocked again.I couldn't see out of my right eye, and I could feel blood running down my chest. I rushed across the command pulpit, my boots clanging against the metal floor, finally I reached a door on the other side. Pressing a small button on a control panel. I opened the door, only to wish I hadn't.

As the two halves of the door split and retracted into the ship, I saw a sight that burned its way into my memory. Bodies decorated the hallway, crew-members were tossed into the wires and pipes running through the hallways, and I could see half burned bodies laying throughout. I covered my face and made my way through, stepping over bodies, and ignoring the bodies of the civilians we had with us. I passed through several more corridors, only to find that others had met the same fate.

'Dammit! Is no one else alive?'

I opened another door, the halves slinking back to reveal a large cargo bay, several hundred feet across, and made from polished steel. I blinked my eyes to clear the accumulated blood, only to see a distressed crew-member running around the cargo we were supposed to deliver, making sure everything was secure.

He was a young man, his eyes were a dirt brown, and his buzz cut hair a dark black. He was a well built man,  He was wearing a thick chest-plate, combined with some pants that had a steel plate on the thigh and shin.

"Yaren! Thank the Matron you're alive!"

He turned back to me and I could see the relief on his face. "Orion! Dude, I thought I lost you! Did you get a signal out?"

"I turned an emergency channel on, but it may not have sent before the console exploded on me!"

We didn't say another word as we immediately set to work on the crate before us. I noticed that some ties were undone, so I grabbed both ends and pulled them together until the magnets snapped together. I repeated this process several times, until finally. It was safe as it could be.

That's when things started getting hot, at first, I thought it was me. Then I noticed the silver walls become a slight red.

I thought it was another energy bolt burning through, but then I wouldn't have felt it all around me. The metal continued to get hotter, changing from a slight pink, to a full on golden blaze. Then it hit me

"Shit! We're entering the atmosphere! Brace for impact!"

The cargo bay became unbearably hot, and I could feel the skin on my feet blister. But I grabbed the crate and held on for dear life.

"Spike! Have you seen my encyclopedia on spacial phenomenon? I need it!"

Twilight called from the library's foyer. Twilight was a lavender unicorn, her mane was a deep purple with a single pink stripe going through it, with her tail matching it.

"Have you checked th-!"

The small green and purple dragon named Spike was unheard as an almighty roar sounded throughout the heavens. Windows and doors rattled, while ponies cowered in fear.

Then, a boom like no other sounded throughout the small town. Before everything was quiet again. Save for a voice in the background yelling. "My jimmies! They've been rustled! NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

Then, everything was quiet, not a bird nor beast made a single noise.

That's when Twilight decided she would need to investigate.

"Spike! Send a letter to Princess Celestia, tell her something has happened and an object has crashed, I've got to go get the girls together!"

The small dragon gave a neat salute before running to do his task.

Everything around me was dark, I couldn't see anything, my entire body felt as if it was on fire, I couldn't move, I could barely breathe, all I knew was pain. Then a sound, then another and another, and soon a myriad of sounds. I could make out words, few, but some.

"Sweet Celestia, what is it?
