//-------------------------------------------------------// Forgotten Memories -by Dust- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue ~Prologue~ Jake awoke slowly and sat up looking around with a squinted expression on his face as the bright light hit his face directly from the window. He looked around more closely as his eye's adjusted to the light. "Where am I?" He said looking at the large bed-like throne that awoke from. He stood slowly as he inspected the room. "The last thing I remember is....is..." Jake continued to ponder at the missing link as he walked through the large hall that led to a set of double doors. He inspected most of the stained glass and saw that most of it was pictures of small ponies or horses that occupied the pictures, but what really caught his eye was the stained window that pictured two flying horses with horns, one was a creamy white and the other a dark night blue. He smiled at the stained artwork and backed away from it as he headed to the doors. "Maybe someone can tell me where I am..." He said as he practically fell onto something soft, but sturdy. He couldn't see what it was when he fell, but opened his eyes to see cream white fur blocking his view. Looking up he noticed that a large unicorn was standing a head above him. He backed up and ended up tripping on his foot landing on his butt. "Hello, may I ask who you are?" The unicorn asked as Jake rubbed his sore spot that he had landed on. "Y-yeah.. My name is Jake." He said as he suddenly felt himself being picked up off the ground and set on his feet. She smiled lightly as she walked past him. He looked at her mane as it flowed with absolutely no wind behind it. He also noticed wings on her back. "Well, Jake. I'd also like to know why you're in here....and HOW you got here. What you are would also be nice to know." She said looking back with a small smile. She seemed nice, but seemed agitated. "That's what I want to know. I have no idea how I got here, I just woke up on that bed over there and was going to find someone to tell me where I was, but instead I found a talking pony.... and I'm a human." Jake replied standing nervously. "Well, my name is Celestia and you are in my castle. Which is also located in Equestria. Are you sure you have no memory of how you got here?" She asked once more. Jake just shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. "Does that mean you're a Queen?" He asked looking at her crown and remembering her mention that this was HER castle. "Oh no! I am just the Princess, but that does not matter right now. What matters is that we find out who you are!" She said trotting towards Jake. Jake, letting her pass began to follow her out of the large throne room. They continued to walk in silence as they made their way through various hallways until they ended up in some kind of main entrance. The place was decorated nicely with a large glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling with re carpet running down the entrance to the stairs. Jake also noticed that two large paintings accompanied the decor one resembled Princess Celestia and another Princess, to Jake's assumption. "Okay Jake, follow me out to the train station please." Princess Celestia said as two ponies in golden armor opened the large double doors. Jake felt the rush of fresh air and heard birds chirping along with a few other noises. He continued to follow Princess Celestia as four Guards, two in front and in two in the back, followed close. "I'm guessing protection is a mandatory thing?" Jake said as he noticed some of the guards eyeing him. He heard a soft giggle before a reply came. "Not for me, but rather for you. I will have these four highly trained guards accompany you to the train station where a trusted student of mine will take care of you and help you get your memories back " She replied smiling softly. "I can't just stay here?" Jake said looking back at the castle. "As much as I want you too. I'm afraid I can't." She said sighing. Jake sighed along with her and noticed that they had entered a small building that exited back out to a waiting area for the train. "So why can't I just be flown there by your guards?" Jake asked pointing to the guards since everyone of them had wings. "Well, I don't know how well you would react to flying. So I think it would be best for you to stay close to the ground in case you get dizzy and fall from the carriage." She replied as she sat on the floor. "That makes sense I guess..." Jake said slowly. Celestia handed him a ticket and began to walk out. "Thanks I guess..." Jake said slowly. He soon walked out onto the platform and waited almost a full 5 minutes before the train appeared. As he got on the train the conductor, who knew of him from a private message from the Princess, took the ticket with a smile and punched a hole in it allowing him on. Jake noticed that the car he got was completely empty except for the guards who followed him and sat in another booth across from him. He felt this was gonna be a long train ride. "So how often do you guys protect people?" Jake asked looking to the four ponies who just looked at at him awkwardly as he tried to start a conversation. "Not often enough." One said in a gruff voice. Jake awkwardly looked away towards the window of the cabin. Oh yeah, definitely a long one. Author's Note Hope you guys enjoyed!
