Chapter 1: ...Ordinary Day?
"Cold coldcoldcoldcold. I'M SO COLD!" A young, feminine voice exclaimed. The temperature was around ten below and cold northern Alberta wind blew onto her face. And this young girl was named Madeline Alexander, a skateboarder and gamer. She a was 5'11 light brown skinned sixteen year-old girl with brown hair and pale green eyes. She wore a red hoodie with the DC logo on the back, a pair of black skinny jeans and a pair of purple DGK skate shoes. Her mom was a worker for a large financial company that sent her on many business trips. Her mother recently returned form one in the U.S. and she promised she would ask to take time off so they could spend a week or two together.
She stood on a sidewalk near a bus stop, waiting for her school bus. The skateboard that hung off of her backpack swung gently as she paced back and forth, occasionally jumping up to make herself warm. A sharp hiss and rumble sounded down the street. She stood at the edge of the sidewalk as the bus drove down the street towards the bus stop sign. The yellow and black school transport stopped with a hiss, and the door opening to reveal a pale skinned man in his late twenties. Madeline recognized him as Mr. Harvard, her history teacher. He nodded his greeting as she passed him. She walked down the aisle, finding an empty spot near the center of the bus.
Madeline sat down and set her bag next to her as the bus lurched forward and drove down to the school. It was going to be a long ride to school.
The bus stopped with a harsh halt, causing Madeline to slam into the seat in front of her. She wiped a bit of drool off of her chin and stood up. Many other students stood up and walked off the bus.
