The Adventures of Music Clef

    Music Clef awoke to a loud crash. Jumping out of bed he ran downstairs seeing a small purple baby dragon with green scales from the top of his head to the end of his tail, looking at him he could somewhat tell the dragon wasn't like the other dragons he'd seen. The big grin on his face and the red ruby in his hand he was snacking on leading Music to believe that he was friendly. "Hi, who are you?" Said the small dragon. "I'm Music Clef, I am staying with Twilight. Who might you be?" Asked Music Clef . "I'm Spike. I'm her assistant. I was just coming back from Canter lot." Said Spike. "Oh, I used to live there. She and her friends are taking me to my cousin Vinyl Scratch's house. She lives here in Ponyville." He says. "You're Vinyl's cousin? That's awesome! She is the best musician in Ponyville. Well I think so, Twilight says that her roommate Octavia is better." He says as Twilight and the rest come downstairs to see Music Clef and Spike almost talking like they've known each other forever. "I guess you've met Spike." Twilight says with a smile brushing her hair in place with her hooves. "Yeah he's a cool little dude."  He says. " When did he get here Twily?" Spike asks. "Just last night actually. We are going to help him find Vinyl and Octavia."  She says. "Yeah he told me. Can I go Twilight?" Says the adorable little dragon. "That's not up to me, you may want to ask him." She says with a slight smirk. "Well I don't see why you couldn't. If you guys want I can buy breakfast again." He says with a grin. "That would be awesome!" Shouts Rainbow Dash happily. "It's only fair since you allowed me to stay in your lovely library for the night." Says the smiling unicorn. "I love that idea!' Says Pinkie bounding up and down wildly. "I-It would be great if you don't mind I mean." Says Fluttershy blushing and looking towards the ground. "Y'all don't have to do that for me sugar cube." Says the wonderful country pony Applejack. "I insist upon it." remarks Music Clef. "Why thank you Darling." Rarity says as polite and regal as she can.  "Well I am as ready you guys are." Says Music Clef.  "We're all ready." Says Twilight. "Alright let's party." He says. "Party? Where's a party?" Says Pinkie. "Pinkie you are so crazy!" Says Rainbow Dash with a giggle. The group head out the door towards the sweets shop. In line infront of them was a gray Peggasus with bubbles on her flank. Her hair was a yellow colour and her eyes were both a bit off but she had a smile on her face. "I'll take half a dozen lemon surprise muffins please." Said the mare. "Alright Ditzy." Says Mr. Cake handing her a pink box full of wonderfully smelling muffins. She backed up and bumped into Music Clef. "Oh thorry!" She says blushing. "Oh it's fine." He steps aside and allows her to pass by him. She gives a smile as she exits Sugar Cube Corner. "Hi there, what can I get ya?" asks Mr.Cake. "This is a big order, I need two chocolate sprinkle cupcakes, each with a candle in them for some reason." Music Clef says with a sly laugh. " I need three cherry ruby cupcakes for Spike, Then four banana nut muffins, then for myself I would like..." He looks at the display case under the counter. "I will take three pieces of that apple pie.'' He says opening his saddle bag. "Alright, anything else, Mr..." Asks Mr.Cake "Music Clef, and no thank you that will be all." Music Clef replies politely. "Alright Mr. Clef, that will be ten bits." Music Clef gives Mr. Cake the ten bits. "If you'll wait at your table, my wife Mrs.Cake or I will have your order out to you." Mr. Cake smiles at Music Clef. ''Sounds great to me." Music Clef happily trots outside to the tables where everybody has sat down for a late breakfast. "Mr. Cake said the order would be a minute. So how far is Vinyl Scratch's house from here?" He says with a smile at the group. "Just around the corner, and from the sound of the music she's home. You may even get to meet her roommate Octavia, She plays the cello beautifully." Says Twilight Sparkle. "I think I met her once a long time ago, she was at the gala when I was invited to it." Music Clef says as Mr.Cake comes out with a couple large boxes, that smelled more amazing than Music Clef had ever smelled in his entire life. "Here is your order Mr. Clef." He says as he sets the boxes on the table. "Please just call me Clef or Music Clef. No need to be formal." Music Clef says with a laugh and a big smile. "Thank you for bringing these out here to us on such a busy day it seems for you." Music Clef says opening the boxes, and taking out his pieces of pie. "It is no problem, so how long do ya plan on staying here in Ponyville?" He asks politely. "I am not completely sure, I was hoping a few years or as long as Vinyl Scratch lives here." She's been here for a pretty good while.
