Chapter 6: Part 1 Elite Flyers

Fluttershy was crying tears of joy when I flew her on my back all the way back to the cottage.

(After that battle with Nightmare Moon...), *Sigh* (I used too much force if I would've known Princess Luna was only acting to change my behaviour...) (I remember when I flew up and nearly going into space and then flew down, throwing Nightmare Moon in the Earth.

(That was a memorable experience)

It was late in the afternoon and ponies still haven't adjusted to the way I looked...

"Fluttershy...they're staring at me..."

"Don't worry Michael, we'll be back in the cottage in no time at all"

"Well, I hope so..these ponies can't seem to realize that I'm the same pony on the inside just not the outside..."

"I understand..."

Fluttershy walked over to a stand she goes to everyday to get her food, it was only today that the pony incharge was off sick

"Wheres...um..."

"Hes off sick, I'm filing in for him"

"Oh..um..okay"

"Well, Fluttershy ask him"

"Okay..."

"I would like those strawberries"

"That'll be 10 bits"

"Ten...bits?"

(I've seen this before...)

"But...I don't have that much money"

"Well, sry ma'am I can't sell you these strawberries..."

Fluttershy frowned

"Look, tell you what...I'll give you these strawberries for..."

Fluttershy looked at him

"15 bits" , "Hahaha"

Fluttershy looked at me

"Fluttershy...do you really want me to do this?" I whispered

Fluttershy nodded

"Well...okay..."

I turned to the shop keeper

"Hey, 15 bits is a little pricey for my pony here"

"So?" , "What are you going to do?"

"Do you really want to find out?"

He looked at me

"Yeah because I know your all talk"

(Heh...okay, I'll do this)

I started to flap my wings and I knew it had the force to blow away and push ponies down, I gradually gained lift

"Oh, what you're going to flap those wings hahaha"

I smiled at him

The wind was picking up

"Wait a sec, HEY!"

I jumped and aimed my wings towards the stand and I could see it starting to gain lift

"Stop, please here..."

I stopped and landed "Thank you" I nodded to Fluttershy and we began to walk away

"Yeah you better walk away!"

I turned my head slowly towards him

"Yeah what!"

I smiled

(He'll never learn to shut his mouth)

I flapped my wings and launched myself like a missile towards the stand

"GAH!"

(You'll learn NOW!)

*CRASH*

The stand was destroyed and I looked at the terrorfied pony

"Well?"

"...w.wha!"

The pony started to run away in the distance

"Hahaha what a-"

"Michael!"

"?"

I turned and saw Twilight "Oh hey Twilight"

"Michael, what happened to him?"

"Oh just gave him a scare...hehe"

"Hmm..." , "So whats up?"

"Well I was just shopping with Fluttershy"

"Um..."

"What?"

"Wouldn't you be with Fluttershy right now?"

"But shes just right over..."

I looked at the space before the stand

"...there" *Sigh*

*Giggle*

"Well, I have to go find her then...any ideas?"

"Well..."

Twilight walked over to a tree and kicked it and out came Fluttershy

"Whoa!"

"?!"

(Nice on Twilight...)

"Fluttershy why did you hide away?"

"Twilight, Michael..."

"??"

"I was afraid..."

"?"

"Its just that, Twilight when I see Michael using his wings and using his intimidating look..."

"I have an intimidating look...heh...I guess I got that from my Dad"

"...it reminds me of the day Michael flew off after evolving..."

"But.."

"Let her finish Michael"

"..."

"It just gave me a feeling that you were going to leave Michael..."

"But I was never going to leave, I was just frustrated..."

"Frustrated Michael?" , "Please explain" Twilight asked

"Well after Rainbow Dash was doing her ridiculous stunt and with me evolving I was feeling that way because of people being afraid of me..."

"Well that would explain how you reacted with Rainbow Dash and how she felt, that and your eyes..."

"My eyes?"

"They're black"

"Oh yeah..."

"I think you should visit Rainbow Dash's home, you need to clear things up with her..."

"Okay but what about you Fluttershy?"

"Its...okay, you can go"

"Thank you"

I jumped and flew up in the air and shouted

"See ya!"

I flew off to Rainbow Dash's house with some...thoughts....

(This is going to be awkard to talk to Rainbow Dash after I freaked her out...) , (It may not be easy to get her forgiveness, but I have to try)

I arrived to a house on clouds (This is Rainbow Dash's...)

I flew over to her door

*Knock Knock*

"?"

"Hello Rainbow Dash"

"!!"

Rainbow Dash slammed the door shut

(This is definitely not going to be easy)

"Come on Rainbow Dash, let me in!"

"Go away!"

"Look I really need to talk to you..."

"Michael, GO"

(.....)

"Rainbow Dash..."

"?"

"I'll break the door down and let myself in if you're not going to-"

"Michael, I'm not letting you in here!"

*Sigh* "I didn't want to do this"

I lifted my hoove and touched the door

"One!"

"Two!"

I lifted my hoove away from the door and was ready to punch

"Three!"

*SMASH*

"DAH!"

My hoove went through the door and then I moved my hoove to the door handle and pushed the door open

"Hello Rainbow Dash..."

Rainbow Dash was looking at me

"N-no!"

"Wait!"

Rainbow Dash flew out her window and in the clouds

(Do we really have to do this now?!)

I flew right after her

"Rainbow Dash, wait!"

"Get away from me!"

We zipped past and through clouds and Rainbow Dash was trying to go faster than I could.

"Rainbow Dash, don't try to do the sonic rainboom!" , "You won't be able to go any faster than I can!"

"You're not the boss of me!"

Rainbow Dash started to pick up the pace and started to fly straight down

"Wait!"

Rainbow Dash didn't listen and continued to fly straight down, she did however start to break the sound barrier

(This isn't going to turn out well...)

Rainbow Dash focused herself and broke through, thus she made the sonic rainboom

"HA, SEE!" Rainbow Dash flew off in the distance

"Ha yeah like she'll get away from me"

I flew as fast as I needed to, to get to Rainbow Dash

I pulled along side of Rainbow Dash

"!!!!!"

"Sup..."

"What the!" , "How can you catch up to me?"

"I've something special" I laughed "Stop Rainbow Dash or-"

"Or what?!"

"Alright..."

I tackled her and kept flying

"WHA....!"

"You drove me to this..."

I flew down to the ground just like I did with Nightmare Moon with the thought of hurting her

"NO WAIT"

I smiled

I kept flying and just at the last second

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

*FWESH*

I flew along the ground and looked at Rainbow Dash, shaking

"Haha, I got you ther-"

"...."

"Rainbow Dash, now will you take the time to talk to me?"

"Y-y-y-y-yes"

Rainbow Dash barely finished her sentence

I carried her to the Everfree Forrest and set her down on a tree

"Look Rainbow Dash, I want to apologize for this afternoon and that day when I evolved"

"You want to?"

"Yeah, I didn't mean to act that way because well you know my behaviour changed with it"

"Well yeah..."

"So will you forgive me?"

"Well...I guess so"

"Thank you..."

"So...now thats taken care of, can you tell me your tips?"

"Tips?"

"Yeah, you caught up to me and before that you won that race"

"Yeah?"

"So how did you do it?"

"Well, now that I've evolved, I've got more power, speed and strength so I wouldn't need to go like that"

"Go like what?"

"Yeah, I go like that if I was pressured into doing something or remembering something that can launch it"

"Like the stunt I tried to pull off?"

"You set me off that day!"

"Well...maybe I did in some case"

"You kicked me..."

"Yeah, sorry about that..."

"Hmm"

"OH!"

"Michael we have an entrance race today!"

"Entrance race?" , "What for?"

"Yeah, the Wonderbolts wan for the Elite Flyers competition"

"Elite Flyers?"

Rainbow Dash looked at me

"What?"

"You don't know anything..."

(....hmm....)

"Michael, the Elite Flyers competition is were everypony that is considered the best go here to prove who really is the fastest pegasus" , "There would be a team race first, then a race were one pony from all teams participating in the competition take on eachother to a checkpoint race..."

"Sounds fun...."

"...and"

"RAINBOW DASH!" , "RAINBOW DASH!"

"YEAH OVER HERE!!"

Spitfire flew down to us

"Are you ready for the entrance race for the Wonderbolts?"

"Yep"

"Yeah, sure"

"Okay then lets go to the colisseum"

We all flew off towards the colisseum

"So Spitfire what are we going to do?"

"We're apparently going to do a race around the track"

"Sounds easy..."

"Yeah it 'sounds' easy..."

"Why do you say that Spitfire"

"Well Rainbow Dash we have to go around the track three times by beating a time limit"

"Oh..."

"Well we're here, good luck!"

We landed infront of a desk and infront of three very-well dressed, rich ponies

"Hello...um"

"Spitfire of the Wonderbolts"

"Ah yes and this is your team of..."

"Five"

"Yes, yes five and are you ready?"

"Yes we're going to get ready for the time race"

"Um time race?"

"Yes, I was told that it was that type"

"Well, you were misinformed...."

"Oh?" , "Well what is the setting?"

"Well, one pony has to fly around the track five times"

"One pony?"

"Well, yes you have to beat a certain time as well..."

"So choose one pony from your team to represent yourselves"

"Yes Miss"

"I'll pick"

Rainbow Dash was jumping about

"PICK ME!"

*Sigh* "Fine"

"YES!"

"Okay, Miss Rainbow Dash please go on the starting line and await the sign to go..."

"Um okay?"

Rainbow Dash stood on the line

"Are you ready Miss Rainbow Dash?"

"Ready"

"Three"

"Two"

"One"

*Ahem* "Go"

Rainbow Dash flew off the starting line and began to fly, she pushed herself, going corner after corner of the track

But the judges didn't look impressed...

Finally after what looked like thirty seconds have passed Rainbow Dash crossed the line breathless

"Phew...how...how did I do?"

"Miss Rainbow Dash you did it in 1 minute and 20 seconds"

"Okay?"

"You had to do it in 1 minute"

Rainbow Dash frowned

"I'm sorry you're not going to be able to partcipate in this competition"

"Wait!"

"?"

"I'm Michael a new recruit to the Wonderbolts give us another chance"

"Why should we?"

"Because I'm the fastest pony in Equestria"

Everyone looked at me including Rainbow Dash

"Okay...Michael, back it up"

"Show us what your made of"

"Gladly.."

I stood on the line and stretched me wings

"Okay Michael"

"Three"

"Two"

"One"

"Go!"

I pushed off the ground with my back legs and flew in the air. They cracked the ground...again...

I looked at the judges and they didn't seem to be impressed

(Hm...lets try...)

I put my head foward and speed up

The judges were really looking at me now

My wings flapped faster and faster and I sped around corner after corner

(COME ON!)

I closed my eyes and put my hooves out and the a barrier appeared infront of them, it wasn't the usual white colour

It was blue...

I kept flying quick with this barrier infront of me and when suddenly

"...wake...up...."

(................)

I flew through the line

"WHOA MICHAEL!"

"Michael you've done it in 46.6 seconds"

"Nice one, Michael!"

I stopped after the first bend and landed

(What....)

"Michael?"

I turned and looked at Spitfire

"Are you okay?"

"I'm...okay..."

"Well, okay but you got us in!"

I smiled

We all put our hooves up

"NOW FOR THE REAL THING!" , "LETS MAKE PONYVILLE PROUD AND LET ALL KNOW WE'RE THE FASTEST!"

After we cheered I look up to the dark clouds

(Looks like a storm is coming...)

I turned and joined my team...

The dark clouds formed an image of a dark pony
