Legend of the Element Six
Dramin Scaline, a Duelist with a certain secret that he has been hiding for years since the day he realized it himself. He walked down the dirt path with his trusty sword being held in its scabbard, being held by a sash around his waist. His red scarf flowed in the wind as he took his stroll down this dirt path. The only sound to be heard was the sound of shoes walking across dirt grains, and the occasional chirping of birds. He stroked his bright red hair, tired from his daily walk. He was tired from his training in town. He learned how to slash his sword the correct way, and learned a little tip to on when and where to strike your opponent at the right time to throw them off guard. He also learned that his handle strike has enough force to STILL kill someone. He didn't know how to control his strength just yet. At this moment, his mentor had to have him register as a weapon himself. Though the training he is going through now, his mentor said to him, will only have to take a couple more months until he is able to contain his strength enough to the point where his handle strike can only leave a bruise.
Walking for a couple of hours to relief his stress, he let out a sigh of relief. "I knew a little walk would calm me down a bit," he said to himself. He was already in the woods now, but he knew these woods like the back of his hand, so he would have no problem getting out. On his way to the clearing though, he saw the town shrine of the six mages that saved this country, but sadly it broke into two different countries. One for the Duelists, and one for the Mages. Even though that is the case, everyone still respects the shrines that were left after the war.
Legend goes that there were six mages that managed to stop the war, but were killed in the process. Six and on extra guardian, one light archer, one grass druid, one fire paladin, one water gem enchantress, one earth trickster mage, and one matter arcane mage, and their dragon knight guardian.
On the last stand of the great war, these six, with their dragon knight, stood up to both sides and decided that this was enough. They challenged both sides saying that if the seven won, the war would end there, and create a peace treaty. If they lost, then they would be executed in public. Both sides agreed, each side full of pride to defeat them.
One side was the Duelists, a proud race of people with perfect hand-eye-coordination, and known for their fierce attacks, and vital-landing stabs. Even though most of these Duelist have good intentions, a lot of them are highly corruptible, and become assassins for many mages. Their ability to land every hit is unparalleled, all Duelists must train for a time of five years to enhance their fine swordsmanship. Many argue on how one can reinforce fine swordsmanship. Duelist always give the same answer every time. "One's abilities aren't limited by one's strength or build, they are limited by how much education one receives," many of them have answered back.
The other side being the Mages. A powerful race of people known for controlling various objects, like light, air, water, many other elements, and other various pieces of reality. With one drawback though, since these mages concentrate their mental abilities, then physical, their main weakness is their body. Most mages recruit one to three guardians, warriors who wield a shield and sword, to protect them while the mages dish out the damage.
The Archer, mowing down everyone with the power of the archlight bow. The Druid, offering support magic, and healing abilities. The Paladin, hacking, and slashing every human being with the Fire Blade of Rancun. The Enchantress, using the power of gems to create massive giants of incredible destructive force, and using the gems to pierce even the toughest of armor. The Trickster, pulling playful pranks capable of killing dozens of humans. The Dragon Knight, with the armor of dragon scales, and the ability to turn into a dragon himself, he is the protector of these six. Then finally, there is the Arcane Mage, with enough magical power to distort, space around a certain diameter. Creating powerful area of effect spells, in the matter of seconds.
After hours upon hours of fighting, the six mages were still standing, barely breathing. Each of them almost depleted of their magical power. Then the last duelist and mage on the opposing sides fell. The seven have won, but their victory was cut short when a rouge class duelist, and an archlight mage decided to kill them off for completely wiping out their factions. Legend says that these two teamed up, and killed them all except the dragon knight that managed to also protect the druid mage, and the forest archer from death's sentence. Their attacks were brutal. the Duelist landing every slash, but only managing to cut them. The Archlight Mage, using his abilities to move at the speed of light, but was being horribly countered by the Archer, and the power of the Archlight Bow. The two, filled with rage, still had enough strength to take on all seven of them, but sadly for them, the Arcane Mage used a new spell that has never been used before. The Thanatos Couloir. Trapping the two within the spells effect, being tortured every second by the sight and noises they heard within that hallway. After, the spell had wore off, the two fell to the ground and trembled with fear. Not wanting to ever go to a place like that again ...
Many people say that the legend is wrong, and that the seven of them managed to survive the brutal onslaught, but didn't end up killing the two. Many people have their own beliefs, but Dramin believed in a whole different story, but for now, he believes in the second belief of this legend.
Dramin sat there in front of the shrine, admiring the architecture of it. The torch lights crackling, and the stairway leading to the top of it. He suddenly remembered that he had evening training, for his sword handling techniques. He got up, and rushed towards town, to make sure he got there on time. his scabbard in his left hand. His scarf and hair dancing with the wind as he sprinted towards his dojo.
The wind running through,
The torches losing their life,
Calmly sitting there.
