A blue-green alicorn who was hiding her horn with a spell, landed nearby. Her name was Rainbow Shimmer. She was the Princess of the Sky and Weather. Also, she could control the weather-use by horn or hooves. Her cutie mark was a shining star with different weather types surrounding it. Nopony knew she was Princess Celestia's one and only daughter. "Hi Rainbow Shimmer!" The others waved. Applejack was an orange Earth pony with three red apples for a cutie mark and a yellow mane and tail. Fluttershy was a yellow, butterscotch-color pegasus with a pink mane and tail with three pink butterflies for a cutie mark. Pinkie Pie was a pink Earth pony with three balloons for a cutie mark and a pink mane and tail. Rarity was a white unicorn with a curly purple mane and tail and three blue diamonds for a cutie mark. Rainbow Dash was a cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail and a rainbow lightning bolt for a cutie mark. Twilight Sparkle was a purple unicorn with a dark purple mane and tail with a pink streak through it, and her cutie mark was a six pointed star with little stars around it. "What's up?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Hey! Twilight!" Spike came running up. Spike was a baby dragon and Twilight's assistant. He held up a letterscroll. "It's from Princess Celestia!" Twilight levitated the scroll and read aloud, "'My dearest Twilight- a new princess is to be crowned tomorrow in Cloudsdale. Please bring your friends to watch. This pony is the Princess of the Sky and Weather. Princess Celestia.' Oh my gosh! A new princess!" "Ummm.. I have to go." Rainbow Shimmer started to fly off quickly, leaving her friends very confused. "Bye!" Once at home, Rainbow Shimmer sighed. Princess. And then Equestria would know. She locked herself in her room, even when her friends came. Scared, she saw ice come out from her hooves and freeze the ground. She gasped and decided to call it a night. Tomorrow, she'd be living in the cloud castle on the other side of Cloudsdale. Coronation DayRainbow Shimmer yawned. Coronation Day was here. She noticed her purple and blue mane and tail was flowing. Once at her castle room, she slipped on her tiara, with the symbol of every Element of Harmony on it. Once, before Twilight and her friends controlled them, she was their master. But at the top was a lightning bolt similar to Rainbow Dash's-except there was only one pink one on the background of a golden tiara. Then, she slipped on her princess 'necklace' and shoes. And lastly, her dress. She didn't care about all this princessy stuff. She sighed-this is not what she wanted. "Don't let them in. Don't let them see. Be the good mare you always have to be." she sang to herself, "Conceal. Don't feel. Put on a show...make one wrong move and everyone will know... But it's only for today. It's agony to wait..." Rainbow Shimmer walked to the door. This was it. Using her horn, a half cyan half purple glow appeared. "Tell the guards to open up...the gates!" Rainbow Shimmer stepped out, and slowly walked to the castle ballroom, where everypony was. "Your highness." A purple unicorn walked up and bowed, the looked up surprise. "Rainbow Shimmer!!" "Yeah," Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "I'm a princess." "ALICORN PARTY!" Pinkie Pie screamed. Bells then rung. Rainbow Shimmer ran into the coronation room. Everypony sat down, with the main six in the front row. Ponies started to sing. Rainbow Shimmer stood there in her long purple dress with a blue cloak. She stood and smiled. Fake smiled. "I crown you... Princess Rainbow Shimmer of Equestria!" Princess Celestia announced. Next came a...PARTY! During the party, a pony announced her, and then the Elements of Harmony next. Nopony talked. There were lots of introductions, though. "What is that smell?!" Pinkie screamed. "CHOCOLATE?!!?" She ran off in search of some chocolate. "Why didn't you tell us?" Applejack asked, frowning. "Tell what?" Rainbow Shimmer asked sarcastically. "You know what!" Rarity rolled her eyes."Princess!" "I can't tell you." Rainbow Shimmer answered. "Why?!" demanded Rainbow Dash. "You're our FRIEND!" "I just can't!" Rainbow Shimmer sighed. She started to walk out. "Close the gates. This party is over." "Wait! Rainbow Shimmer. No, no." Twilight grabbed Rainbow Shimmer's shoe as she lifted her foot. "Twi! Give me my glove!!" Rainbow Shimmer tried to snatch it back, but it was unsuccessful. "Please! I want to know too!" insisted Rainbow Dash. "I can't tell you." Rainbow Shimmer started to slowly walk away. "What did we ever do to you?!" Fluttershy quietly asked. "Enough, guys..." Rainbow Shimmer warned. "No. Why? Why do you keep secrets from us? From the world?! What are you so afraid of?!" Rainbow Dash stepped forward. "I SAID ENOUGH!" Rainbow Shimmer's hoof flew through the air, making it an ice skate rink of Cloudsdale. She ran out the door. "Rainbow Shimmer..." She could hear the ponies' voices debating weather she was a monster or not. Ponies mobbed her outside. Pegasi, unicorns, Earth ponies..everypony. Some asked if she was okay. "No, no!" Rainbow Shimmer's hoof hit a water fountain. Everypony backed away, and she ran. She hit Equestria's ground, and Twilight Sparkle and her friends teleported down. "NO!" they called. "STOP!" But Rainbow Shimmer continued to run. Once her hoof touched the on-ground river, it hardened into ice. She ran as fast as she could, and up towards the plains north of the Crystal Empire.. She didn't care what they did anymore, the secret was revealed. Slowly waling up the mountain later, she sang: "The snow glows white on the plains tonight, Not a hoof print to be seen. A kingdom of isolation, And it looks like, I'm it's queen. The wind is calm, Unlike the swirling storm inside. Couldn't keep it in, Tia knows I tried... Don't let them in! Don't let them see. Be the good mare you always have to be! Conceal, Don't feel, Don't let it show.... And now they know! Let it go, let it go! Can't hold it back anymore. Let it go, let it go! Turn away and slam that door! I don't care What they're going to say. Let the storm rage on... The cold never bothered me anyway. More sparkly, taller, and with a bigger balcony. She was also wearing a long purple dress with a cyan cape. And Rainbow Shimmer was happy-she was alone, but she was free. A Stunned KingdomBack in Equestria... It was snowing now and here. In summer. No... it was raining. Snowing. Raining. It constantly changes! thought Twilight. Ugh! "What...just...happened..here?" Rainbow Dash asked. She scratched her head. "Rainbow Shimmer has amazing powers!" Pinkie Pie answers. "Princess Rainbow Shimmer! Our friend!" "She's a monster!" A pony ran up. "She meant to kill us all!" "No she's not!" Applejack glared. "It's our fault!" Twilight screamed. "If you have to blame anypony, blame us!" Everypony stared. And stared. This is our fault. We pushed her too far. She was scared. Twilight thought. I hate myself. I made one of my best friends run off...wherever she is. Snapping back to reality, Twilight heard Rainbow Dash bickering. "Who's that?" Twilight whispered, pointing to toe pony bickering with Rainbow Dash. "Amethyst Star, mayor of Manehattan." Pinkie answered. Then, she bounced off towards the cupcakes. Twilight saw her stuff her face with them. "It was her fault!" Amethyst Star argued. "No it wasn't!" Rainbow Dash shot back. "She almost KILLED all of us!" Amethyst Star exclaimed. "HA." "It's called an accident!" Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. "Shut up!" Amethyst Star snapped. "No, you shut up!" Rainbow Dash snapped back. "Hey!" Twilight stepped in between Amethyst Star and Rainbow Dash. "It was our fault. So..that's why we need to go after her." "What?!" the rest of the Mane Six gasped. "Come on, guys. I think she ran towards the arctic north, where the Crystal Empire is." Twilight started to run. The others followed after her. On the train, everypony was silent. Even after King Sombara was defeated, it was still cold. Rarity handed out scarves. "These are the only ones I have, so make use of them!" she warned. "And don't lose them!" "Did any of you know about this?" Applejack asked. "I surely didn't..." "Not me!! But I'm excited! Our friend's a princess! Are you excited? I'm so excited! I hope she comes back! I mean life wouldn't be the same without her!" Pinkie rapidly chirped. "And-" "Pinkie, shut up." Twilight snapped. "I don't think any of us knew she was the newest princess.... Certainly not me." "Heavens, no!" Rarity flipped her mane. "Let's just... keep walking," Twilight sighed. "Ugh..." After a little walking, they entered the Crystal Empire. Sparkly as always, the Crystal Ponies were standing around gossiping. "THERE SHE IS!" one shouted. "TWILIGHT AND HER FRIENDS! THEY MUST KNOW WHERE RAINBOW SHIMMER WENT!" "It looked like she ran past here, the Crystal Empire," Rarity answered. "Has anypony seen which direction she went?" "I think that way." A tan pony with blue mane stepped up, shimmering. "Towards the Snowy Plains. I saw a flash running that way, and it looked like an alicorn." "Thank you." Twilight nodded. "Girls, maybe we should go to the Crystal Castle and get rested up for tomorrow..." Back in Rainbow Shimmer's castle, she stepped out on the balcony. She saw the faint glimmer of the Crystal Empire's Crystal Heart protection bubble. She then moved her top right hoof to make a snow pony. She remembered her memory... her sad memory. Once, playing with her younger sister Glacier, who was a normal alicorn, they were in a large room in the castle with portraits of the past rulers. Her sister was playing on the ice. Glacier's pure white coat and silver mane matched the winter theme perfectly. But then, Glacier was running through the snowbanks. She was on the slide, but accidentally jumped off it and didn't slide. "Glacier!" Rainbow Shimmer had cried out, sending magic. But the ice landed in Glacier's heart. Rainbow Shimmer was alone at the castle. It was said true friendship would undo a frozen heart. She tried, but Glacier had frozen and Rainbow Shimmer was ordered to hide her powers. "Glacier, what would you do?" Rainbow Shimmer wondered. Then, she walked inside and discovered her crown in the ice. She snatched it out. "I hate this stupid crown!" Rainbow Shimmer sang, levitating it. "Poof, it disappeared!" She then vaporized the crown... Rainbow Shimmer made a snow pony, remembering Glacier. Somehow... It came alive! It ran down the stairs, high spirited. Just like Glacier. "Glacier... There's a snow pony for you. It'll never make up for your death, because I was stupid. And I'm sorry Glacier, I miss you." Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "I love you and will never stop missing you." Rainbow Shimmer walked into a room with one door. She started to cry. Her tears became ice, which added to the castle. She wasn't afraid- just sad, so she could still control her powers. She wished she had never been born with these stupid powers. It wasn't fair. How come SHE had to be the one controlling the weather?! Born of a PRINCESS?! Life seriously stank sometimes. Back with Twilight and her friends, they were saying thank you to Princess Cadance and Shining Armor for the hospitality for one night. "Thank you for breakfast," Twilight smiled. "But we really must be off now." "Maybe I should go with you?" Shining Armor suggested. "No thank you," Twilight answered. "But it's nice of you to offer." "Okay," Shining Armor replied. "Good luck finding and bringing back your friend!" "We have a few things for you, though." Princess Cadance started to walk. "Follow me." Once outside, they found a crystal sled. It had winter coats, blankets and scarves in it. A crystal gem was powering it, and there were several others in a bag. "Why... IT'S GORGEOUS!!!" Rarity screamed. "I LOVE IT!!!" "Oh, and Twily?" Shining Armor used Twilight's nickname. "Yeah?" Twilight asked. "Be careful." Shining Armor placed his hoof on her. "I don't wand a dead little sister." "What makes you think that?" Twilight raised an eyebrow. "I won't be dead." "Well..." Shining Armor starts, "Let's just say that sometimes, when alicorns are mad or upset, things aren't pretty. Especially weather princesses like Rainbow Shimmer. Ice or thunder to the heart is no laughing matter. It could freeze or electrify a pony and maybe cause them to die. Even on accident." "She's our friend!" Rainbow Dash interrupts. "A friend would never hurt us!" The others were already in the sled, so Rainbow Dash and Twilight hopped in. "Good luck!" Shining Armor and Princess Cadance was waving goodbye. "Take care!" And so off they rode to find Rainbow Shimmer. Finding Rainbow ShimmerAcross the snowy plains, in the daylight, the scene was beautifully snowy. All the girls could see was snow. "I wonder where she is!" Twilight exclaimed. "How long does it take to find one alicorn who isn't the same color as the plains?" "Uh, Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked. "You can still see the glow of the Crystal Empire. Duh." "Oh. Oops!" Twilight blushed. "Heh heh heh." Once they got closer, Pinkie Pie screamed.... "THERE IT IS!! IT MUST BE HERS!! AN ICE CASTLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SNOWY PLAINS! OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!!!! IT LOOKS SOOOOOOOOO PRETTY!!!! OH HURRY UP YOU CRYSTALS LET'S GO SEE WHAT IT'S LIKE IT'S SO PRETTY AND-" "We get it Pinkie," Applejack rolled her eyes. As the six friends made their way to the castle, Rainbow Shimmer stood hidden behind its doors. She had heard Pinkie Pie's really loud shout. Way loud. And her friends were coming? To see her? They were good friends but she wanted to be left alone. For the rest of her life, no doubt about it. Then she heard a door open... HER door. "This castle is beautiful!" Rarity inhaled. "I can't believe ice can be this beautiful!" "Rainbow Shimmer? Are you in here? It's us. Your friends!" Twilight looks around. "Um.. Twilight?" Rainbow Shimmer's long snowflake-covered cape flows behind her. "Wow! You look fabulous!" Rarity exclaims. "I think that bun was too much for you. The ponytail is great!" "This ice is very nice," Fluttershy whispers. "It's really pretty." "Thanks, guys..." Rainbow Shimmer smiles, heartfelt. "Um...it was also-" Rainbow Dash started. "No, no. I know you're about to apologize for the... Coronation incident. You don't have to. I- I don't need one. But you guys have to go... Now." Rainbow Shimmer holds her hoof up. "But we want to take a look around!" Rarity protests. "Guys. You belong in Equestria defeating evil like Discord and Nightmare Moon." Rainbow Shimmer points at the door. "We were always really close. Best friends. Now... Why?" Rainbow Dash raises an eyebrow. "Uh..." Glacier pops into mind. The ice that struck her heart and the reason why she had to conceal her power. She couldn't tell her friends. They'd think she was a complete monster. They were close because she was actually able to get her power to obey her- she knew that her mother, Princess Celestia had said, "Rainbow Shimmer, I know you don't want to harm anypony like you did to Glacier- on accident. So if you can keep your powers secret, nopony will ever know but me, Luna and Cadance." "Still, you have to admit we were really close." Rainbow Dash points out. "We can be like that again!" "No. No, I can't. We can't." Rainbow Shimmer flees up the steps. "Goodbye, guys. It was nice to see you buy goodbye. I'm sorry." "But- But-" Pinkie Pie looks deflated. "I don't want to hurt you!!" Rainbow Shimmer keeps walking as the others follow behind her. "Go away! Stay away!" "But you won't!" Applejack calls, so sure of herself. "Please don't shut us out right now, please don't slam that door, You don't have to keep your distance starting now," Pinkie Pie sings, " And for the first time in forever, we really understand! For the first time in forever, we can fix this hoof in hoof. We can leave the plains together. You don't have to life right here. Cause for the first time in forever, we will be right here!" "Guys. Please go back home. Your lives await. To enjoy the sun and open up the gates. I get you mean well, so leave me be! Yes I'm alone but I'm alone and Free! So just stay away. You'll be safe from me..." "Actually... we're not.." Applejack argues. "What do you mean 'we're not'?!" Rainbow Shimmer whips around, now in her balcony room. "I get a feeling she doesn't know." Pinkie whispers really loudly. "What don't I know?!" Rainbow Shimmer demands to know. "Equestria's in crazy weather everywhere..." Twilight admits. "What?" Rainbow Shimmer asks. "Um, you kind of set off crazy weather." Pinkie smiles sheepishly. "Everywhere," Fluttershy whispers. "Everywhere?!" Now Rainbow Shimmer fell quiet. "It's fine!" Rainbow Dash adds. "You can just undo it." "I can't. I don't know how!" Rainbow Shimmer protests. "Sure you can!" Pinkie squealed, always being an optimist. "We know you totally can! Cause for the first time in forever..." "Oh!" Rainbow Shimmer face hooves herself. "I'm such a fool. I'll never be free..." "You don't have to be afraid," Twilight adds. "There's no escape from the storm inside of me," Rainbow Shimmer accidentally makes a blizzard. "We can work this out together," Pinkie sings, "I can't control the curse!" Rainbow Shimmer looks at her hooves. "We'll reverse what you have made..." Pinkie starts to spin. "Guys, please, you'll only make it worse!" Rainbow Shimmer was against a corner, watching her friends fight the snow. "Don't panic!" Applejack sings. "There's so much fear!" Rainbow Shimmer's eyes go huge. "We'll make Tia's sun shine bright!" Rarity holds her hoof over "You're not safe here!" Rainbow Shimmer protests. "We can face this thing together!" Pinkie Pie snatches Fluttershy into a hug. "No!" Rainbow Shimmer turns away. "We can change this crazy weather, and everything will be-" Pinkie's voice disappears through the storm. "I CAN'T!!" Rainbow Shimmer sucks all the snow and it turns to ice. Then, she throws it out in a circle. The girls ducked, all except for Twilight. She was hit, and she fell to her knees. "Twi?!" Rainbow Dash flies down and pokes her. "Twi are you okay?!" "I... I'm fine." Twilight stands up , and adds for an extra emphasis, "I'm fine, Rainbow Shimmer." "Please go," Rainbow Shimmer opens a door. "Now. I think you should go back, I might have hurt Twilight on accident. I'm very sorry if I did. That's why you should stay as far away from me as possible forever." "Maybe if she wants us to... It's clear she doesn't want us..." Applejack says. Luckily, they leave. Rainbow Shimmer has one thing to say: "What have I done?!" The Icy Heart"Twilight, you're back!" Princess Cadance came running up. She gasped. "Twily! Your... What did that monster do?" Shining Armor snarled. "What?" Twilight asked. "Your mane is turning silver." Shining Armor points out. "She must've been right about accidentally hurting me." Twilight sighed. "She's a monster!" Fluttershy hid behind Shining Armor. "How do we reverse it?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I think you have to find the magic of friendship-" Shining Armor began. The girls gave a cheer. "With the pony who did it." Shining Armor sighed. The girls sighed. "Rainbow Shimmer?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Seriously. Please tell me you're joking!" "No, I'm not." Shining Armor looked serious. "Would I if my little sister's life was in danger?!" "Ugh. We have to go back?!" Rarity whined. The others nodded. "We're coming with you." Princess Cadance said. "Hop in, girls. Twilight, here's an extra blanket." Once in the sled, Twilight sat in between Princess Cadance and Shining Armor in a blanket. They were keeping her warm on the long journey to Rainbow Shimmer's magical ice castle adventure. "Twily, you'll be okay," Shining Armor assured. "We'll get Rainbow Shimmer to unfreeze you or she dies." "No!" Twilight wiggled out of Shining Armor's grasp. "You're not going to hurt her! She is our friend. Like you wouldn't hurt any of THEM-" Twilight pointed at the five girls in front- "Rainbow Shimmer is no exception!" "You'll have to get through me, too." Rainbow Dash joins the conversation. "The last chance I got, I checked, and was still the Element of Loyalty." "Okay, okay!" Shining Armor covered Twilight again. "I won't lay a hoof on her or use any magic on her." Once at the ice castle after some very dull conversation, Rarity opened the door. Rainbow Shimmer was nowhere to be seen. "F- Follow us," Teilight shivered, running up the icy stairs towards the balcony they had been to earlier. And Rainbow Shimmer was in the corner of the balcony. She gasped when she saw the party of ponies. "I said go away!" Rainbow Shimmer turned away. "That means all of you!" "We're not going anywhere until you unfreeze my little sister's heart, you monster!" Shining Armor snarled. "Do it now and we will leave! Use the magic of friendship on her! It will make the ice melt!" "I don't know how! Use the Elements? But I'm not one!" Rainbow Shimmer stepped out to the edge of her balcony. "Ask them! They're the Elements! But please just leave me be forever!" "Are you sorry?" Fluttershy asks in a whispers. "Yes, I'm so sorry, Twilight. Sorry that I accidentally hit you. Sorry that I was born with- with this!" Rainbow Shimmer casts snowflakes towards the out of her balcony, and not towards anypony. "Excuse me." Rainbow Shimmer runs out the door. "No!" Applejack snaps. She runs right after, the others hot on her trail. The girls found her in another sparkly ice room with no balcony, just one door leading in and out. Rainbow Shimmer was staring at the ice. And she was crying. "Um.... Rainbow Shimmer?" Twilight asks. "It's okay. I know it was an accident. I know that." "Sadness swirls within me like the snow," Rainbow Shimmer sings. "I've frozen out the only friends I'd ever know. There's no way to win, but I wish that I had told them long ago..." "Life's too short," Rainbow Shimmer and Twilight sang together. They looked at each other. "To be such a very stupid fool, so reckless I couldn't see." Rainbow Shimmer sings. "Life's too short, to be so desperate to know, that I only ever thought of me..." Twilight sang. "I wish I saw things clearly, I guess I'm just not the sort. Now All I know is..." "Life's too short," both mares sang. Bright yellow light appeared followed by blue light. Princesses Celestia and Luna appeared. Everypony except Princess Cadance bowed. "Mother... Do away with me as you choose." Rainbow Shimmer hung her head. "I accidentally hit Twilight with my ice magic. I'm no use to Equestria if I'm able to harm ponies." "Rainbow Shimmer," Celestia sighed, "You are special. Unique. And nopony should doubt it. Especially yourself. Your weather magic is special. But when you left-" "Yeah, yeah. I KNOW! Equestria's covered in random weather patterns. Dangerous ones too." Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "And Twilight- I'm so, so, so sorry." Luna sighed. She showed them the new Equestria. Thunderstorms, extreme heat, blizzards... Everything. "Rainbow S- Shimmer," Twilight shivered, "I'm the Element of Magic, and I choose you to inherit my Element." "Why? I've frozen you," Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "I'm a horrible friend." "You have them," Twilight whispered. "You know what friends are like." Twilight started to turn ice blue. Rainbow Shimmer gasped. She put her hoof on Twilight, who's mane was totally grey by now. Slowly, she was turning even more blue. Pinkie Pie even looked sad, crying while hugging Twilight. Twilight was frozen. Because of Rainbow Shimmer. But then, Rainbow Shimmer added six magical words: "You will always be my friend." Twilight started to turn purple quickly. Purple! Her normal color! "Twilight!" Rainbow Shimmer swept her into a hug. "I'm so sorry! True friendship survives!! But- but- but how?!" "You said 'You will always be my friend.' That is a sign of true friendship." Luna smiled. "Without the Elements of Harmony. Looks like you still have a part of all the Elements in you still." "Yeah... Guys, thanks for chasing after me. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I just didn't want to hurt you like I did Glacier." Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "Who's Glacier?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Glacier.. Glacier was my little sister." Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "She was a pink pony with white mane and tail. Also an alicorn, but no weather powers. My dad was Winter Solstice. I ended up with the powers. But one winter night, I was playing in the throne room. With my snow stuff. And then she and I were playing 'snowball tag.' I was it, and I accidentally hit her in the heart like I did to you, Twilight. But when Princess Celestia got there it was too late. Rainbow Shimmer asked sheepishly. "Oops?" "Maybe we should have another Coronation Day again." Princess Celestia smiled. "And stop the weather?" "Okay!" Rainbow Shimmer ran downstairs, and her friends followed. "Are you ready?" "Woo hoo!" Pinkie Pie screamed. Rainbow Shimmer raised a hoof to the sky. She then moved it and pointed at her ice castle. It started to melt from the top. Eventually, it melted the entire thing. Just like Rainbow Shimmer commanded. Princess Celestia teleported Shining Armor and Princess Cadance to the Crystal Empire. Then, she teleported everypony else to Canterlot- where there was a blizzard! Standing on the palace steps with her friends, she thought about sunny weather everywhere. Soon, it became a bright sunny day. "What were you saying about Coronation Day number two?" Rainbow Shimmer asked, grinning. Coronation Day, Take Two"It was so nice of Princess Celestia to give you a second coronation!" Rarity smiled. "Don't blow this one." "Shut up!" Rainbow Shimmer smiled. "And I got scared!" "Guys, it's time for us to go out," Twilight announced. She led the way out. Rainbow Shimmer stared at her outfit. A replica of her crown, blue shoes with tiny yellow stars and a blue cloak. Oh, and a purple and blue necklace. Perfect for a princess. "And now announcing, for the second time, Princess Rainbow Shimmer!" That was her cue! Walking in gracefully, she smiled at everypony. She also let a few ice flakes fall. She stood by her mother Princess Celestia and smiled. "Does anypony object the coronation and new title as princess?" Celestia asked. The crowd was dead silent. "I have something I'd like to say." Twilight announced. "Rainbow Shimmer, even though she accidentally froze my heart, is an amazing pony. She only did it because we pushed her. We were stupid. And anypony who doubts it can face US." "Me too," Rainbow Dash added. "We've been friends since she came to Ponyville! She's an amazing pony and we love her. Plus, she's totally awesome! She was great at keeping the weather thing a secret." "And," Rarity sent a charming smile to the crowd, "She has great style! Her mane is perfectly blended in a beautiful way. And it flows! How fashionable! To me, she will always be a fashion hit- beautiful in and out." "Weeeeeeeelll!" Pinkie Pie smiled huge, "She was so fun! When we baked cupcakes once, we totally had SOOOO much fun!! When she came to Ponyville she said my party was the best she ever had!! Oh and that was my welcom party!" "Um.." Fluttershy whispered, "She's really nice, and- and she likes a- animals too. And s- so we hung out together.." "Lastly," Applejack announced, "She's always been honest- when she told me she stole an apple out of my tree to when she left bits for it later because she felt guilty." "Thanks!" Rainbow Shimmer smiled heartfelt. "And NOW..." Rainbow Shimmer smiled and raised her hoof. She pointed at her best friends, and multicolor ice tiaras appeared on their heads. Rarity loved hers. "LET'S PARTY!" Rainbow Shimmer screamed, teleporting to the Canterlot Garden. Pinkie Pie planned this party- not dull and boring! Rainbow Shimmer got in the middle of the garden and started dancing. She and her friends smiled at one another. Rainbow Shimmer was in Equestria. And she was happy- not scared her secret was out, not upset at her friends- just happy.
The Day Before Coronation"Hi, guys!" A blue-green alicorn who was hiding her horn with a spell, landed nearby. Her name was Rainbow Shimmer. She was the Princess of the Sky and Weather. Also, she could control the weather-use by horn or hooves. Her cutie mark was a shining star with different weather types surrounding it. Nopony knew she was Princess Celestia's one and only daughter. "Hi Rainbow Shimmer!" The others waved. Applejack was an orange Earth pony with three red apples for a cutie mark and a yellow mane and tail. Fluttershy was a yellow, butterscotch-color pegasus with a pink mane and tail with three pink butterflies for a cutie mark. Pinkie Pie was a pink Earth pony with three balloons for a cutie mark and a pink mane and tail. Rarity was a white unicorn with a curly purple mane and tail and three blue diamonds for a cutie mark. Rainbow Dash was a cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail and a rainbow lightning bolt for a cutie mark. Twilight Sparkle was a purple unicorn with a dark purple mane and tail with a pink streak through it, and her cutie mark was a six pointed star with little stars around it. "What's up?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Hey! Twilight!" Spike came running up. Spike was a baby dragon and Twilight's assistant. He held up a letterscroll. "It's from Princess Celestia!" Twilight levitated the scroll and read aloud, "'My dearest Twilight- a new princess is to be crowned tomorrow in Cloudsdale. Please bring your friends to watch. This pony is the Princess of the Sky and Weather. Princess Celestia.' Oh my gosh! A new princess!" "Ummm.. I have to go." Rainbow Shimmer started to fly off quickly, leaving her friends very confused. "Bye!" Once at home, Rainbow Shimmer sighed. Princess. And then Equestria would know. She locked herself in her room, even when her friends came. Scared, she saw ice come out from her hooves and freeze the ground. She gasped and decided to call it a night. Tomorrow, she'd be living in the cloud castle on the other side of Cloudsdale.
Coronation DayRainbow Shimmer yawned. Coronation Day was here. She noticed her purple and blue mane and tail was flowing. Once at her castle room, she slipped on her tiara, with the symbol of every Element of Harmony on it. Once, before Twilight and her friends controlled them, she was their master. But at the top was a lightning bolt similar to Rainbow Dash's-except there was only one pink one on the background of a golden tiara. Then, she slipped on her princess 'necklace' and shoes. And lastly, her dress. She didn't care about all this princessy stuff. She sighed-this is not what she wanted. "Don't let them in. Don't let them see. Be the good mare you always have to be." she sang to herself, "Conceal. Don't feel. Put on a show...make one wrong move and everyone will know... But it's only for today. It's agony to wait..." Rainbow Shimmer walked to the door. This was it. Using her horn, a half cyan half purple glow appeared. "Tell the guards to open up...the gates!" Rainbow Shimmer stepped out, and slowly walked to the castle ballroom, where everypony was. "Your highness." A purple unicorn walked up and bowed, the looked up surprise. "Rainbow Shimmer!!" "Yeah," Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "I'm a princess." "ALICORN PARTY!" Pinkie Pie screamed. Bells then rung. Rainbow Shimmer ran into the coronation room. Everypony sat down, with the main six in the front row. Ponies started to sing. Rainbow Shimmer stood there in her long purple dress with a blue cloak. She stood and smiled. Fake smiled. "I crown you... Princess Rainbow Shimmer of Equestria!" Princess Celestia announced. Next came a...PARTY! During the party, a pony announced her, and then the Elements of Harmony next. Nopony talked. There were lots of introductions, though. "What is that smell?!" Pinkie screamed. "CHOCOLATE?!!?" She ran off in search of some chocolate. "Why didn't you tell us?" Applejack asked, frowning. "Tell what?" Rainbow Shimmer asked sarcastically. "You know what!" Rarity rolled her eyes."Princess!" "I can't tell you." Rainbow Shimmer answered. "Why?!" demanded Rainbow Dash. "You're our FRIEND!" "I just can't!" Rainbow Shimmer sighed. She started to walk out. "Close the gates. This party is over." "Wait! Rainbow Shimmer. No, no." Twilight grabbed Rainbow Shimmer's shoe as she lifted her foot. "Twi! Give me my glove!!" Rainbow Shimmer tried to snatch it back, but it was unsuccessful. "Please! I want to know too!" insisted Rainbow Dash. "I can't tell you." Rainbow Shimmer started to slowly walk away. "What did we ever do to you?!" Fluttershy quietly asked. "Enough, guys..." Rainbow Shimmer warned. "No. Why? Why do you keep secrets from us? From the world?! What are you so afraid of?!" Rainbow Dash stepped forward. "I SAID ENOUGH!" Rainbow Shimmer's hoof flew through the air, making it an ice skate rink of Cloudsdale. She ran out the door. "Rainbow Shimmer..." She could hear the ponies' voices debating weather she was a monster or not. Ponies mobbed her outside. Pegasi, unicorns, Earth ponies..everypony. Some asked if she was okay. "No, no!" Rainbow Shimmer's hoof hit a water fountain. Everypony backed away, and she ran. She hit Equestria's ground, and Twilight Sparkle and her friends teleported down. "NO!" they called. "STOP!" But Rainbow Shimmer continued to run. Once her hoof touched the on-ground river, it hardened into ice. She ran as fast as she could, and up towards the plains north of the Crystal Empire.. She didn't care what they did anymore, the secret was revealed. Slowly waling up the mountain later, she sang: "The snow glows white on the plains tonight, Not a hoof print to be seen. A kingdom of isolation, And it looks like, I'm it's queen. The wind is calm, Unlike the swirling storm inside. Couldn't keep it in, Tia knows I tried... Don't let them in! Don't let them see. Be the good mare you always have to be! Conceal, Don't feel, Don't let it show.... And now they know! Let it go, let it go! Can't hold it back anymore. Let it go, let it go! Turn away and slam that door! I don't care What they're going to say. Let the storm rage on... The cold never bothered me anyway. More sparkly, taller, and with a bigger balcony. She was also wearing a long purple dress with a cyan cape. And Rainbow Shimmer was happy-she was alone, but she was free.
A Stunned KingdomBack in Equestria... It was snowing now and here. In summer. No... it was raining. Snowing. Raining. It constantly changes! thought Twilight. Ugh! "What...just...happened..here?" Rainbow Dash asked. She scratched her head. "Rainbow Shimmer has amazing powers!" Pinkie Pie answers. "Princess Rainbow Shimmer! Our friend!" "She's a monster!" A pony ran up. "She meant to kill us all!" "No she's not!" Applejack glared. "It's our fault!" Twilight screamed. "If you have to blame anypony, blame us!" Everypony stared. And stared. This is our fault. We pushed her too far. She was scared. Twilight thought. I hate myself. I made one of my best friends run off...wherever she is. Snapping back to reality, Twilight heard Rainbow Dash bickering. "Who's that?" Twilight whispered, pointing to toe pony bickering with Rainbow Dash. "Amethyst Star, mayor of Manehattan." Pinkie answered. Then, she bounced off towards the cupcakes. Twilight saw her stuff her face with them. "It was her fault!" Amethyst Star argued. "No it wasn't!" Rainbow Dash shot back. "She almost KILLED all of us!" Amethyst Star exclaimed. "HA." "It's called an accident!" Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. "Shut up!" Amethyst Star snapped. "No, you shut up!" Rainbow Dash snapped back. "Hey!" Twilight stepped in between Amethyst Star and Rainbow Dash. "It was our fault. So..that's why we need to go after her." "What?!" the rest of the Mane Six gasped. "Come on, guys. I think she ran towards the arctic north, where the Crystal Empire is." Twilight started to run. The others followed after her. On the train, everypony was silent. Even after King Sombara was defeated, it was still cold. Rarity handed out scarves. "These are the only ones I have, so make use of them!" she warned. "And don't lose them!" "Did any of you know about this?" Applejack asked. "I surely didn't..." "Not me!! But I'm excited! Our friend's a princess! Are you excited? I'm so excited! I hope she comes back! I mean life wouldn't be the same without her!" Pinkie rapidly chirped. "And-" "Pinkie, shut up." Twilight snapped. "I don't think any of us knew she was the newest princess.... Certainly not me." "Heavens, no!" Rarity flipped her mane. "Let's just... keep walking," Twilight sighed. "Ugh..." After a little walking, they entered the Crystal Empire. Sparkly as always, the Crystal Ponies were standing around gossiping. "THERE SHE IS!" one shouted. "TWILIGHT AND HER FRIENDS! THEY MUST KNOW WHERE RAINBOW SHIMMER WENT!" "It looked like she ran past here, the Crystal Empire," Rarity answered. "Has anypony seen which direction she went?" "I think that way." A tan pony with blue mane stepped up, shimmering. "Towards the Snowy Plains. I saw a flash running that way, and it looked like an alicorn." "Thank you." Twilight nodded. "Girls, maybe we should go to the Crystal Castle and get rested up for tomorrow..." Back in Rainbow Shimmer's castle, she stepped out on the balcony. She saw the faint glimmer of the Crystal Empire's Crystal Heart protection bubble. She then moved her top right hoof to make a snow pony. She remembered her memory... her sad memory. Once, playing with her younger sister Glacier, who was a normal alicorn, they were in a large room in the castle with portraits of the past rulers. Her sister was playing on the ice. Glacier's pure white coat and silver mane matched the winter theme perfectly. But then, Glacier was running through the snowbanks. She was on the slide, but accidentally jumped off it and didn't slide. "Glacier!" Rainbow Shimmer had cried out, sending magic. But the ice landed in Glacier's heart. Rainbow Shimmer was alone at the castle. It was said true friendship would undo a frozen heart. She tried, but Glacier had frozen and Rainbow Shimmer was ordered to hide her powers. "Glacier, what would you do?" Rainbow Shimmer wondered. Then, she walked inside and discovered her crown in the ice. She snatched it out. "I hate this stupid crown!" Rainbow Shimmer sang, levitating it. "Poof, it disappeared!" She then vaporized the crown... Rainbow Shimmer made a snow pony, remembering Glacier. Somehow... It came alive! It ran down the stairs, high spirited. Just like Glacier. "Glacier... There's a snow pony for you. It'll never make up for your death, because I was stupid. And I'm sorry Glacier, I miss you." Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "I love you and will never stop missing you." Rainbow Shimmer walked into a room with one door. She started to cry. Her tears became ice, which added to the castle. She wasn't afraid- just sad, so she could still control her powers. She wished she had never been born with these stupid powers. It wasn't fair. How come SHE had to be the one controlling the weather?! Born of a PRINCESS?! Life seriously stank sometimes. Back with Twilight and her friends, they were saying thank you to Princess Cadance and Shining Armor for the hospitality for one night. "Thank you for breakfast," Twilight smiled. "But we really must be off now." "Maybe I should go with you?" Shining Armor suggested. "No thank you," Twilight answered. "But it's nice of you to offer." "Okay," Shining Armor replied. "Good luck finding and bringing back your friend!" "We have a few things for you, though." Princess Cadance started to walk. "Follow me." Once outside, they found a crystal sled. It had winter coats, blankets and scarves in it. A crystal gem was powering it, and there were several others in a bag. "Why... IT'S GORGEOUS!!!" Rarity screamed. "I LOVE IT!!!" "Oh, and Twily?" Shining Armor used Twilight's nickname. "Yeah?" Twilight asked. "Be careful." Shining Armor placed his hoof on her. "I don't wand a dead little sister." "What makes you think that?" Twilight raised an eyebrow. "I won't be dead." "Well..." Shining Armor starts, "Let's just say that sometimes, when alicorns are mad or upset, things aren't pretty. Especially weather princesses like Rainbow Shimmer. Ice or thunder to the heart is no laughing matter. It could freeze or electrify a pony and maybe cause them to die. Even on accident." "She's our friend!" Rainbow Dash interrupts. "A friend would never hurt us!" The others were already in the sled, so Rainbow Dash and Twilight hopped in. "Good luck!" Shining Armor and Princess Cadance was waving goodbye. "Take care!" And so off they rode to find Rainbow Shimmer.
Finding Rainbow ShimmerAcross the snowy plains, in the daylight, the scene was beautifully snowy. All the girls could see was snow. "I wonder where she is!" Twilight exclaimed. "How long does it take to find one alicorn who isn't the same color as the plains?" "Uh, Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked. "You can still see the glow of the Crystal Empire. Duh." "Oh. Oops!" Twilight blushed. "Heh heh heh." Once they got closer, Pinkie Pie screamed.... "THERE IT IS!! IT MUST BE HERS!! AN ICE CASTLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SNOWY PLAINS! OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!!!! IT LOOKS SOOOOOOOOO PRETTY!!!! OH HURRY UP YOU CRYSTALS LET'S GO SEE WHAT IT'S LIKE IT'S SO PRETTY AND-" "We get it Pinkie," Applejack rolled her eyes. As the six friends made their way to the castle, Rainbow Shimmer stood hidden behind its doors. She had heard Pinkie Pie's really loud shout. Way loud. And her friends were coming? To see her? They were good friends but she wanted to be left alone. For the rest of her life, no doubt about it. Then she heard a door open... HER door. "This castle is beautiful!" Rarity inhaled. "I can't believe ice can be this beautiful!" "Rainbow Shimmer? Are you in here? It's us. Your friends!" Twilight looks around. "Um.. Twilight?" Rainbow Shimmer's long snowflake-covered cape flows behind her. "Wow! You look fabulous!" Rarity exclaims. "I think that bun was too much for you. The ponytail is great!" "This ice is very nice," Fluttershy whispers. "It's really pretty." "Thanks, guys..." Rainbow Shimmer smiles, heartfelt. "Um...it was also-" Rainbow Dash started. "No, no. I know you're about to apologize for the... Coronation incident. You don't have to. I- I don't need one. But you guys have to go... Now." Rainbow Shimmer holds her hoof up. "But we want to take a look around!" Rarity protests. "Guys. You belong in Equestria defeating evil like Discord and Nightmare Moon." Rainbow Shimmer points at the door. "We were always really close. Best friends. Now... Why?" Rainbow Dash raises an eyebrow. "Uh..." Glacier pops into mind. The ice that struck her heart and the reason why she had to conceal her power. She couldn't tell her friends. They'd think she was a complete monster. They were close because she was actually able to get her power to obey her- she knew that her mother, Princess Celestia had said, "Rainbow Shimmer, I know you don't want to harm anypony like you did to Glacier- on accident. So if you can keep your powers secret, nopony will ever know but me, Luna and Cadance." "Still, you have to admit we were really close." Rainbow Dash points out. "We can be like that again!" "No. No, I can't. We can't." Rainbow Shimmer flees up the steps. "Goodbye, guys. It was nice to see you buy goodbye. I'm sorry." "But- But-" Pinkie Pie looks deflated. "I don't want to hurt you!!" Rainbow Shimmer keeps walking as the others follow behind her. "Go away! Stay away!" "But you won't!" Applejack calls, so sure of herself. "Please don't shut us out right now, please don't slam that door, You don't have to keep your distance starting now," Pinkie Pie sings, " And for the first time in forever, we really understand! For the first time in forever, we can fix this hoof in hoof. We can leave the plains together. You don't have to life right here. Cause for the first time in forever, we will be right here!" "Guys. Please go back home. Your lives await. To enjoy the sun and open up the gates. I get you mean well, so leave me be! Yes I'm alone but I'm alone and Free! So just stay away. You'll be safe from me..." "Actually... we're not.." Applejack argues. "What do you mean 'we're not'?!" Rainbow Shimmer whips around, now in her balcony room. "I get a feeling she doesn't know." Pinkie whispers really loudly. "What don't I know?!" Rainbow Shimmer demands to know. "Equestria's in crazy weather everywhere..." Twilight admits. "What?" Rainbow Shimmer asks. "Um, you kind of set off crazy weather." Pinkie smiles sheepishly. "Everywhere," Fluttershy whispers. "Everywhere?!" Now Rainbow Shimmer fell quiet. "It's fine!" Rainbow Dash adds. "You can just undo it." "I can't. I don't know how!" Rainbow Shimmer protests. "Sure you can!" Pinkie squealed, always being an optimist. "We know you totally can! Cause for the first time in forever..." "Oh!" Rainbow Shimmer face hooves herself. "I'm such a fool. I'll never be free..." "You don't have to be afraid," Twilight adds. "There's no escape from the storm inside of me," Rainbow Shimmer accidentally makes a blizzard. "We can work this out together," Pinkie sings, "I can't control the curse!" Rainbow Shimmer looks at her hooves. "We'll reverse what you have made..." Pinkie starts to spin. "Guys, please, you'll only make it worse!" Rainbow Shimmer was against a corner, watching her friends fight the snow. "Don't panic!" Applejack sings. "There's so much fear!" Rainbow Shimmer's eyes go huge. "We'll make Tia's sun shine bright!" Rarity holds her hoof over "You're not safe here!" Rainbow Shimmer protests. "We can face this thing together!" Pinkie Pie snatches Fluttershy into a hug. "No!" Rainbow Shimmer turns away. "We can change this crazy weather, and everything will be-" Pinkie's voice disappears through the storm. "I CAN'T!!" Rainbow Shimmer sucks all the snow and it turns to ice. Then, she throws it out in a circle. The girls ducked, all except for Twilight. She was hit, and she fell to her knees. "Twi?!" Rainbow Dash flies down and pokes her. "Twi are you okay?!" "I... I'm fine." Twilight stands up , and adds for an extra emphasis, "I'm fine, Rainbow Shimmer." "Please go," Rainbow Shimmer opens a door. "Now. I think you should go back, I might have hurt Twilight on accident. I'm very sorry if I did. That's why you should stay as far away from me as possible forever." "Maybe if she wants us to... It's clear she doesn't want us..." Applejack says. Luckily, they leave. Rainbow Shimmer has one thing to say: "What have I done?!"
The Icy Heart"Twilight, you're back!" Princess Cadance came running up. She gasped. "Twily! Your... What did that monster do?" Shining Armor snarled. "What?" Twilight asked. "Your mane is turning silver." Shining Armor points out. "She must've been right about accidentally hurting me." Twilight sighed. "She's a monster!" Fluttershy hid behind Shining Armor. "How do we reverse it?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I think you have to find the magic of friendship-" Shining Armor began. The girls gave a cheer. "With the pony who did it." Shining Armor sighed. The girls sighed. "Rainbow Shimmer?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Seriously. Please tell me you're joking!" "No, I'm not." Shining Armor looked serious. "Would I if my little sister's life was in danger?!" "Ugh. We have to go back?!" Rarity whined. The others nodded. "We're coming with you." Princess Cadance said. "Hop in, girls. Twilight, here's an extra blanket." Once in the sled, Twilight sat in between Princess Cadance and Shining Armor in a blanket. They were keeping her warm on the long journey to Rainbow Shimmer's magical ice castle adventure. "Twily, you'll be okay," Shining Armor assured. "We'll get Rainbow Shimmer to unfreeze you or she dies." "No!" Twilight wiggled out of Shining Armor's grasp. "You're not going to hurt her! She is our friend. Like you wouldn't hurt any of THEM-" Twilight pointed at the five girls in front- "Rainbow Shimmer is no exception!" "You'll have to get through me, too." Rainbow Dash joins the conversation. "The last chance I got, I checked, and was still the Element of Loyalty." "Okay, okay!" Shining Armor covered Twilight again. "I won't lay a hoof on her or use any magic on her." Once at the ice castle after some very dull conversation, Rarity opened the door. Rainbow Shimmer was nowhere to be seen. "F- Follow us," Teilight shivered, running up the icy stairs towards the balcony they had been to earlier. And Rainbow Shimmer was in the corner of the balcony. She gasped when she saw the party of ponies. "I said go away!" Rainbow Shimmer turned away. "That means all of you!" "We're not going anywhere until you unfreeze my little sister's heart, you monster!" Shining Armor snarled. "Do it now and we will leave! Use the magic of friendship on her! It will make the ice melt!" "I don't know how! Use the Elements? But I'm not one!" Rainbow Shimmer stepped out to the edge of her balcony. "Ask them! They're the Elements! But please just leave me be forever!" "Are you sorry?" Fluttershy asks in a whispers. "Yes, I'm so sorry, Twilight. Sorry that I accidentally hit you. Sorry that I was born with- with this!" Rainbow Shimmer casts snowflakes towards the out of her balcony, and not towards anypony. "Excuse me." Rainbow Shimmer runs out the door. "No!" Applejack snaps. She runs right after, the others hot on her trail. The girls found her in another sparkly ice room with no balcony, just one door leading in and out. Rainbow Shimmer was staring at the ice. And she was crying. "Um.... Rainbow Shimmer?" Twilight asks. "It's okay. I know it was an accident. I know that." "Sadness swirls within me like the snow," Rainbow Shimmer sings. "I've frozen out the only friends I'd ever know. There's no way to win, but I wish that I had told them long ago..." "Life's too short," Rainbow Shimmer and Twilight sang together. They looked at each other. "To be such a very stupid fool, so reckless I couldn't see." Rainbow Shimmer sings. "Life's too short, to be so desperate to know, that I only ever thought of me..." Twilight sang. "I wish I saw things clearly, I guess I'm just not the sort. Now All I know is..." "Life's too short," both mares sang. Bright yellow light appeared followed by blue light. Princesses Celestia and Luna appeared. Everypony except Princess Cadance bowed. "Mother... Do away with me as you choose." Rainbow Shimmer hung her head. "I accidentally hit Twilight with my ice magic. I'm no use to Equestria if I'm able to harm ponies." "Rainbow Shimmer," Celestia sighed, "You are special. Unique. And nopony should doubt it. Especially yourself. Your weather magic is special. But when you left-" "Yeah, yeah. I KNOW! Equestria's covered in random weather patterns. Dangerous ones too." Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "And Twilight- I'm so, so, so sorry." Luna sighed. She showed them the new Equestria. Thunderstorms, extreme heat, blizzards... Everything. "Rainbow S- Shimmer," Twilight shivered, "I'm the Element of Magic, and I choose you to inherit my Element." "Why? I've frozen you," Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "I'm a horrible friend." "You have them," Twilight whispered. "You know what friends are like." Twilight started to turn ice blue. Rainbow Shimmer gasped. She put her hoof on Twilight, who's mane was totally grey by now. Slowly, she was turning even more blue. Pinkie Pie even looked sad, crying while hugging Twilight. Twilight was frozen. Because of Rainbow Shimmer. But then, Rainbow Shimmer added six magical words: "You will always be my friend." Twilight started to turn purple quickly. Purple! Her normal color! "Twilight!" Rainbow Shimmer swept her into a hug. "I'm so sorry! True friendship survives!! But- but- but how?!" "You said 'You will always be my friend.' That is a sign of true friendship." Luna smiled. "Without the Elements of Harmony. Looks like you still have a part of all the Elements in you still." "Yeah... Guys, thanks for chasing after me. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I just didn't want to hurt you like I did Glacier." Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "Who's Glacier?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Glacier.. Glacier was my little sister." Rainbow Shimmer sighed. "She was a pink pony with white mane and tail. Also an alicorn, but no weather powers. My dad was Winter Solstice. I ended up with the powers. But one winter night, I was playing in the throne room. With my snow stuff. And then she and I were playing 'snowball tag.' I was it, and I accidentally hit her in the heart like I did to you, Twilight. But when Princess Celestia got there it was too late. We agreed to conceal my powers. Well, that's over!" "I'm so sorry!" Pinkie broke into really hard sobs. "Hey, where's your crown? And princess stuff?" "Um... I kind of vaporized them?" Rainbow Shimmer asked sheepishly. "Oops?" "Maybe we should have another Coronation Day again." Princess Celestia smiled. "And stop the weather?" "Okay!" Rainbow Shimmer ran downstairs, and her friends followed. "Are you ready?" "Woo hoo!" Pinkie Pie screamed. Rainbow Shimmer raised a hoof to the sky. She then moved it and pointed at her ice castle. It started to melt from the top. Eventually, it melted the entire thing. Just like Rainbow Shimmer commanded. Princess Celestia teleported Shining Armor and Princess Cadance to the Crystal Empire. Then, she teleported everypony else to Canterlot- where there was a blizzard! Standing on the palace steps with her friends, she thought about sunny weather everywhere. Soon, it became a bright sunny day. "What were you saying about Coronation Day number two?" Rainbow Shimmer asked, grinning.
Coronation Day, Take Two"It was so nice of Princess Celestia to give you a second coronation!" Rarity smiled. "Don't blow this one." "Shut up!" Rainbow Shimmer smiled. "And I got scared!" "Guys, it's time for us to go out," Twilight announced. She led the way out. Rainbow Shimmer stared at her outfit. A replica of her crown, blue shoes with tiny yellow stars and a blue cloak. Oh, and a purple and blue necklace. Perfect for a princess. "And now announcing, for the second time, Princess Rainbow Shimmer!" That was her cue! Walking in gracefully, she smiled at everypony. She also let a few ice flakes fall. She stood by her mother Princess Celestia and smiled. "Does anypony object the coronation and new title as princess?" Celestia asked. The crowd was dead silent. "I have something I'd like to say." Twilight announced. "Rainbow Shimmer, even though she accidentally froze my heart, is an amazing pony. She only did it because we pushed her. We were stupid. And anypony who doubts it can face US." "Me too," Rainbow Dash added. "We've been friends since she came to Ponyville! She's an amazing pony and we love her. Plus, she's totally awesome! She was great at keeping the weather thing a secret." "And," Rarity sent a charming smile to the crowd, "She has great style! Her mane is perfectly blended in a beautiful way. And it flows! How fashionable! To me, she will always be a fashion hit- beautiful in and out." "Weeeeeeeelll!" Pinkie Pie smiled huge, "She was so fun! When we baked cupcakes once, we totally had SOOOO much fun!! When she came to Ponyville she said my party was the best she ever had!! Oh and that was my welcom party!" "Um.." Fluttershy whispered, "She's really nice, and- and she likes a- animals too. And s- so we hung out together.." "Lastly," Applejack announced, "She's always been honest- when she told me she stole an apple out of my tree to when she left bits for it later because she felt guilty." "Thanks!" Rainbow Shimmer smiled heartfelt. "And NOW..." Rainbow Shimmer smiled and raised her hoof. She pointed at her best friends, and multicolor ice tiaras appeared on their heads. Rarity loved hers. "LET'S PARTY!" Rainbow Shimmer screamed, teleporting to the Canterlot Garden. Pinkie Pie planned this party- not dull and boring! Rainbow Shimmer got in the middle of the garden and started dancing. She and her friends smiled at one another. Rainbow Shimmer was in Equestria. And she was happy- not scared her secret was out, not upset at her friends- just happy.
