Twilight remembers all of them. It's been 508 years… Celestia's last words were a scream and Luna's too along with Cadence's. They died with many others on a train crash. But…there is a legacy…a legend…

"Twilight, come irritatiplaytime!"

This was Twilight's usual 10am voice-inside-her-head-whisper. It sounded faintly like the aged Pinkie Pie with still quite a bit of life in the words.

"No, darling, Twilight agreed to spend sometime talking to ME today, remember?"

Twilight had gotten herself into a bad state. She didn't even bother to try to get her regular sanity back. She was stuck talking to these voices all the time. It dragged on, day after day, as she got more depressed.

She was princess of the universe, Equestria was at it's golden times. What more could she want?

She wanted a LIFE.

She looked at other ponies with a hint of envy when they could go about their daily lives. Shopkeeping, Fashion Designing, Holiday Agents, Wheather Mangers, and the job she used to have, Librainian.

Can you imagine how boring, yet irritatating it was to constantly have to manage Equestria, be waited on hand and foot, and have the depressing thought of her dead friends hanging over her head?

"Twilight, come on, it's playtime!"

This was Twilight's usual 10am voice-in-her-head. It sounded like the Pinkie pie she knew and loved, but it was quiet and eerie.

"No, darling, she agreed to spend some time with me today."

Twilight thumped her head down on the desk. She repeated that motion several times. She was Princess of the Universe, a unicorn filly's dream. She sobbed. She was in a miserable state. The weight of the world was on her shoulders, quite literally.

Her dead friends came back from the grave to mess with her head, and demand constant attention to keep the beautiful friendship they used to have from being completely broken.

The 508th year since the first element, the element of laughter was shattered. She wanted to spend time with her friends, not these phantoms.

Her beloved mentor, pretty sister-figure and all round trustworthy friend were also dead. But not haunting her. The princesses.

And for 508 years, the castle guards prevented anything sharp from getting into her wing, for fear she could comment suicide.

How did Celestia cope? How did she cope with the loss of friends? For 7000 years. How?

A flicker of smoke caught her eye, but it was just the candle. Then, a figure passed through her walls. A steam pony. A ghost.

"Nuh-uh Rarity, it's my death anniversary, so I get to have the ghost form today and play with Twilight!"

"Oh, pfft, fine. Well, happy deathaversary!"

"Thanks!"x

Another 3 voices wished Pinkie-Phantom happy deathaversary.

The torture that went on every day of Twilight's life drove her to almost insanity. A tear fell from her eye.

"Please...could you leave me alone today?" She begged, but also betting in her head what the answer would be-"No Twilight, I amn't going just ye-

"No Twilight, I amn't going just yet, silly billy! We need to have some fun, you and me! And Dash, and Rarity! And Applejack and Fluttershy!"

Twilight picked up a book, trying to ignore the steam pony and the voices. She read. She read for 1 minute. Because-

"Twilight, please, not your muzzle in a book just yet!"

"Yeah, come on, that's so EGGHEAD!"

"Ah agree. That's selfish of ya, Twi. Trying to ignore us for your own needs!"

Twilight levitated the book to the bookshelf.

"Half an hour. No more after that. Please."

She listened for another voice. The ghost was prancing around her room, but not making any noise.

"Um...okay then...half an hour it is..."

The ghost played-no, annoyed- her for half an hour. The voices went on in her head, having their own conversations.

"Oh! Ohohoh! Let's play dares!"

Twilight agreed. There was ONE thing that they were useful for.

"Pinkie, I dare you to go and give three of the gaurds a scare!"

She smiled for a few seconds, and then her smile faded. Pinkie was going to make her do something. Urgh, she remembered the last time she let her dead friends 'play' with her. The time when they kept her up so long that she almost forgot to raise the moon.

She was going to wait until Pinkie done it, in her room. She took the book she was reading at about 11:59 before she got interrupted.

"Hmm, let's see," she thought. She recollected her memories, and got to the correct page.
