It was bright and sunny outdoors. Today was the day Fluttershy would prove to her friends she had the guts to pull the trigger.
She could remember their last water gun fight like it was yesterday, when it actually had occurred only moments ago. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie pie and Fluttershy teamed up against Applejack, Rarity, and Twilight. At the last round Fluttershy had a clear shot to hit Applejack, but then she saw a cute little humming bird appear in the middle of their game.
"NO! STOP!" The butter-coated pegasus shouted as she stood in between Applejack and the humming bird.
Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie pie, Rarity, and Twilight all gasped in shock as Fluttershy got hit with a thick splash of water.
She yelped as the hit caused her to fall on the ground with a thud.
"Fluttershy!" Everypony shouted as they all ran to their friend's aid.
*cough cough*
The pegasus coughed heavily. She smiled weakly at her fellow teammates that had tears in their eyes.
"Just hold on a little longer Fluttershy... It's going to be okay!" Rainbow Dash lifted her friend onto her back and began to carry her home...
Shortly after that she passed out on her friend's back. But she recalled awakening back at her familiar comforting cottage.
She was on her living room sofa with a warm blanket on top of her. She could hear her five friends in the room next door arguing about something. She couldn't quite understand what they were talking about so she leaned in closer to listen...
"Fluttershy isn't capable of handling our game darling. She is too gentle and isn't built for this type of game." Rarity said in her calm, composed manner.
"But Fluttershy is our team member! We need her!" Rainbow Dash shouted, contradicting Rarity's sentence.
This made Fluttershy smile. Rainbow Dash was standing up for her. She was being loyal to her despite how badly she played water gun fights.
"I suggest we have her quit," Twilight added in a strict tone.
Fluttershy gasped, and flinched. Her friend's words hurt her, and was a little bit insulting. How could she prove to them she wasn't this weak pony they all assumed she was.
Angel ran into the living room wearing his chief hat and apron. He held a bowl of oatmeal that was topped with an assortment of berries and fruit.
He handed the bowl to his owner and smiled.
She gave a warm smile and hugged her beloved pet. "Thank you Angel."
Angel nodded and ran back into the kitchen. When he returned he held a water gun in his possession. He gave the water gun to his owner and nodded before running back into the kitchen.
"I know what I have to do to prove I'm not as weak as my friends think I am."
"Fluttershy..." Applejack began as she entered the living room nervously.
She carefully began to look around the room. She found no sign of her butter-coated friend. She checked around the couch. Fluttershy was nowhere to be found.
"Girls..."
"What is it Applejack?" Rarity asked happily as she walked beside her teammate, and best friend.
"I think we might have a little problem..." Applejack answered.
"What do you mean Fluttershy is gone!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed angrily. She face hoofed herself and sighed angrily. "This wouldn't have happened if someone would stay and watch her."
"This wouldn't have happened if she could play the game correctly!" Pinkie pie exclaimed.
Everyone in the room gasped. They looked at the party mare with shock. Their eyes were large and confused.
Pinkie pie had watery eyes. "No... That wasn't what I meant... I just.-"
"It's okay pinks." Rainbow Dash interrupted. "I'm sure you didn't mean to offend Fluttershy.
She patted her friend gently on the back, then brought her into a hug.
"Maybe we should just stop playing water gun fights...." Rainbow Dash suggested upsettingly.
"WHAT!" Rarity, Applejack, and Twilight all yelled.
"Well from what is happening... If Fluttershy isn't allowed to play... then.. I won't play anymore!" Rainbow Dash said angrily.
"Rainbow Dash darling... I think you might be over thinking all of this-" Rarity reached a hoof to touch Rainbow Dash, but it was immediately slapped away.
"I'm not over thinking anything..."Rainbow Dash said in a calmer tone.
"I won't play either." Pinkie pie said as she released the hug between her and Rainbow Dash. Both Twilight and Applejack had worried expressions which quickly softened.
"I guess it would be wrong to play without Fluttershy..." Applejack said as she looked back to her other two teammates. The alicorn and unicorn sadly nodded.
"What were we thinking." Rarity said.
"How could we think about playing our favorite game without Fluttershy..." Twilight added, finally speaking for herself.
"We should find Fluttershy..." Rainbow Dash added. Everypony in the room nodded in agreement and they all exited the cottage.
"Fluttershy!" Twilight yelled loudly, hoping to get her friend Fluttershy's attention.
"Fluttershy!!!!" Pinkie pie screamed into a megaphone.
Rainbow Dash flew up in the air screaming her closest friend's nickname. "Flutters!"
"Dear Fluttershy?" Rarity asked as she looked around the animals' homes.
"Fluttershy?" Applejack called aloud as she walked around the cottage.
Fluttershy aimed the gun towards a mare with an orange coat.
She gently began to pull the trigger, but when she heard the pony call her name she flinched and stopped.
"Fluttershy-"
"I found her!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she swooped her friend up in her hooves.
"Oh no..."
Everyone came their way. Their expressions were quite worried, but were replaced with relieved smiles.
"We were so worried darling."
"Ya. What happened with ya?"
"Are you okay?"
"Fluttershy?"
The questions rolled in. One after one, but the mare just sat in the cyan pegasus' arms. She looked down at her water gun with a sad look.
"What ever is the matter Fluttershy?" Rarity asked as she softly rubbed her arm.
"I want to play water gun fight again! Um.. if that's alright with you girls..." She said as she climbed back to the ground.
Everyone had perplexed looks on their faces, but they nodded in agreement. They all grabbed their weapons and headed back to their empty meadow.
"Fluttershy, are you sure about this?" Both Pinkie pie and Rainbow Dash asked.
The mare nodded confidently. "I can do this." She said with a reassuring grin.
"Okay."
"We're ready!" Twilight shouted to the team that stood on the other side of the meadow.
"So are we!" Pinkie pie replied from behind her rock.
"Ready... 1.... 2.... 3!"
And with that everypony went charging forward aiming their guns in the faces of their enemies.
Fluttershy stood behind Pinkie pie and Rainbow Dash, awaiting her chance to attack.
A slash of water shot right passed Rainbow Dash's cheek. Making Rainbow Dash quite aware of the fact that Rarity had targeted her this round.
Pinkie pie shot towards Twilight. Her gun had cold icy water that flew right above the alicorn's head. "Shoot. So close too." Pinkie muttered to herself.
Applejack was smirking as she quietly thought to herself. If Rarity and Twilight can take Pinkie and Rainbow Dash out. Then that will leave us with Fluttershy.... And easy victory for us.
Applejack looked at Rarity with a smile. Rarity somehow understood the plan, because they had discussed it several times. Twilight noticed the two splitting up and did the same.
Both Pinkie pie and Rainbow Dash had no clue what was going on, but the opposing team had separated. But that didn't stop them from shooting. Water still flew in their direction, some barely brushed passed them, while others nearly hit them.
"AH!!!" Pinkie exclaimed as she collapsed onto the grassy surface.
Both Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had stopped moving and looked towards their teammate.
"Keep.. going..." She said as she held her left hoof in the spot the water had shot her.
"But Pinkie-"
"There's no time. Just avenge me!!!" Pinkie pie said before dramatically crashing face-first into the grass surface.
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy nodded and ran forward.
"Fluttershy you take Applejack, while I take Rarity and Twi." Rainbow Dash shouted.
"But that's an uneven amount, and Rarity is the strongest." Fluttershy stated.
"I can take them Flutters. Just get Applejack will ya." Rainbow Dash said as she avoided Twilight's accurate attacks.
"Okay.."
Fluttershy shot towards Applejack. She missed many times, causing Applejack to confidently laugh at her enemy. But one of Fluttershy's shots sent the farm pony's hat flying right off her head. Applejack stopped laughing, and her expression became more serious.
"Uh Rainbow..."
In Rainbow Dash's direction she was aiming for Twilight, but Rarity was aiming for her as well.
"Rainbow Dash look out!!!" She ran towards her friend, hoping to push her out of the way, but didn't.
Rainbow Dash focused her attack, and hit Twilight right on her bare chest. But shortly after that she got hit by one of Rarity's attacks. She got hit on her head, and the two mares collapsed before their team members.
"Rainbow!"
"Win this for me and Pinkie..." Rainbow Dash said. "And that's an order."
Fluttershy looked up towards the opposing side, who seemed to laugh at her.
I can do this!
Rarity and Applejack laughed. They had a feeling this victory would be an easy one. They slowly approached the shaking pegasus.
"Sorry Fluttershy!" Rarity screamed. "This battle appears to have been concluded." Rarity shot towards the pegasus, but her attack missed.
She was surprised, but shot again. Only this time the pegasus wasn't anywhere to be found.
"Where'd she go?" Applejack asked, carefully analyzing her surroundings.
"She probably fled-"
Applejack fell to her hooves silently, and harshly crashed onto the ground just like everyone else had.
"Applejack.. Don't tell me you were shot!"
She received no response other than silence. "Applejack!!!"
"Let's finish this one on one..." Fluttershy spoke in a deep, frightening voice.
Rarity turned around and aimed her gun. They both shot at the same time and the ammunition from each of their guns flew.
Fluttershy stood there, confidently staring at her enemy's frightened face. Her shot hit Rarity square in the face. The fashionista screamed dramatically as she fell to her knees.
"Looks like this battle has been concluded." Fluttershy said, quoting Rarity's usual catchphrase.
Everyone stood up and ran to Fluttershy. The opposing team was asking for Fluttershy's techniques, but the mare said nothing to the three. Her team had smiles on their faces. They both were proud of Fluttershy and patted her on the back.
"I knew you could do it." Rainbow Dash said to Fluttershy.
"Thank you..." The pegasus said timidly. "To be honest I didn't think I could do it."
"So. Want to play another game?" Twilight suggested eagerly.
Rainbow Dash and Pinkie pie broke into historical laughter. "With Fluttershy we're unbeatable!' Rainbow Dash shouted.
"Hey, where'd did Fluttershy go?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Oh. She left her gun, and a note." Pinkie pie said.
Everyone gathered around the pink mare and began to read.

I don't think water gun fights are cut out for me. I hope you aren't upset.

They all blinked at each other.
"So. Want to play hide and seek or something?" Rainbow Dash suggested.
"What the hay. Why not." And the five remaining mares began to play, yet another childish game.
