Life is stressful. Everybody knows that. He'd tell you that life's even more stressful if you've suffered an aphasia-inducing brain injury as a child and have had to live your life without the ability to express all but the simplest of ideas in words. But he can't tell you, having suffered such an injury. Nor can he write you or sign you. But that's fine; he's a happy-go-lucky kind of guy.

Morpheus, however, is not. Created to deal with the stress of a life without expression, Morpheus, as a manifestation of his repressed emotions, is his violent, psychopathic, demonic man-child persona. The demon's also a lucid dreamer.

And then Morpheus got lose in the Equestrian dream world. But maybe, just maybe, a torture-happy dream demon is exactly what Equestria needs.

Or not.

It all depends.
