Dashie and the Long-Awaited Day
Dashie! Are you alright?

"Twilight, Twilight! I think I'm going into labour!"
Rainbow Dash trotted as fast as she could into Twilight's main room of the library. She'd just been in the bathroom when her water broke very suddenly. She'd squealed in terror. "Ooh, I'm so nervocited!" screamed Pinkie. "We're so nervocited, too!" screamed her triplet daughters in unison. "Oh my. Dash, when was your last contraction?" inquired Rarity, her magic aura still combing the hair of a very annoyed Nyx. Her sister, Starsong, giggled a metre away, testing out new chord combos on her guitar. "Oh my gosh, your water broke, didn't it? I remember when Angel Bunny Junior was born. His mother's water broke, and then I just heard her scream, and then~" Twilight cut off whatever Fluttershy was about to say.
"Flutters, that'll give Dashie nightmares for months. Are you sure that you're going into labour, Rainbow?" said Twilight, while releasing Nyx's hair from Rarity's makeover. "Yes! I just know it!" She insisted. "Well, big sis', if you're in labour, why aren't you having-" "ARRGH!" "-And there's the contraction I was worried about." Finished Scootaloo. "Rainbow Dash, you're the mother. Do you want to have a home birth or a hospital birth?" asked Starsong in her soft voice. She picked up her beloved guitar and strummed a chord from the latest song that she and Sweetie Belle were collaborating on. "Errg...The one that hurts less!" Dash managed to utter. "Well, everyone, it's off to the hospital we go." said Twilight with a smile.
About half an hour later...
"Dashie! You can do it!"
Pinkie's yelling and cheerleading in pastel tones did not do any good for Dashie's labour. All she wanted was for everything to get over with, and for herself and her filly~or foal~to survive this terrible time. "I'm here, Rainbow! Oh my god oh my god oh my god I'm going to be a father..." Soarin's voice trailed off into the distance as Dashie blacked out. A moment later, though, the pain woke her up. It was too hard to conceal it, though.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Meanwhile, in the lobby...
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
"DASHIE!" Twilight, Nyx, Starsong, Pinkie, the Triplets, Rarity, Applejack(who had just arrived), the CMC, Fluttershy and her young filly, Screwball, all screamed in terror. When the doctor came out, he said grimly,"I'm afraid that Missus Dash will have to go through a C-section. It may take an extra hour or two, and will probably cost a lot extra." "We'll cover the cost! Ah ain't gonna come here only ta find out that ma one 'o' best friends is gonna undago som'tin' as terrible as that! We'll all cover the cost, now don't'cha worry, sugarcube." Said Applejack, springing up as she did so.
"In that case, we will start with the operation as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, in Dashie's head...
Pain.
That's all I feel right now.
I can still hear, yes, but my sight is too blurred to describe.
I don't wanna have this foal inside me anymore! There's a freakin' lump of pony inside me!
Soarin'...I can see your face, somewhere in there...I'm pretty sure that's you, Soarin'.
I can hear Soarin' protesting to...AJ? I thought that she and Caramel had a date today! They're talking about something about an operation and money... Oh well. They might as well cut me to bits and take my filly or colt out.
Soarin', if they do that, I leave the foal to you, as well as everything I own. I will always love you, though.
Wait...Is that Doctor Stable? He's talking about something... A mask? Oh. They had to put a mask over my face. Now they're telling me to count to ten... Oh. This is the stuff that puts you to sleep. So they are gonna cut me up. Goodbye, Soarin'. Good luck.

About an hour later, still in Dashie's head...
Ow...My belly hurts. Wait. If I can feel pain...That means I'm alive...
How am I still alive? Didn't they.. Oh well. Now I don't have to leave Soarin'. Wait again. Soarin'? Is that you?
"Dashie? Are you alright? Yes! Everyone, Dashie's awake!"
"YAY!"
Rainbow Dash attempted to sit up in her bed. She was surrounded by gifts, ponies, the girls, and most importantly, she had Soarin' by her side, holding...Oh my gosh...
"Twins, Soarin', twins?!"
"Yes, Dashie. I'm so proud of you!"
The two little one were fraternal twins. The colt of the two had a light blue coat like his father's, and had inherited part of his mother's mane. It was jagged, and was coloured in black, white and dark blue. The filly was orange(inherited from Soarin's mother, he'd explained) and had her mother's orange, yellow and red mane. They'd named the colt Water Dash and the filly Fire Dash.
And as Dashie held her twins for the first time, she concluded that this was the...
"BEST DAY EVER!"
"WAAAHHH!!!"
"Sorry, little ones, ssshhhh..."
Later that night...
"Dashie, you have no idea how proud I am of you."
"No problem, Soarin'. Although I think two foals is enough for a lifetime."
"Agreed, though that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun once in a while. On the other hand, I'll be staying here tonight, to help you with Fire and Water."
"Thanks Soarin'. Thank you so much."
