Princess Luna's Dream Checking
Princess Luna looked over Ponyville at the balcony once she raised the moon and stars. Her sister was already asleep, and everypony else probably was too. Now she could go check everypony's dreams.
The dark blue mare quietly climbed onto the railing and softly flapped her wings. She jumped off, then soared into Ponyville. She could feel the moon shine on her, making her coat almost seem like it was glowing. Once she reached Ponyville, she looked around. Luna decided to enter the dreams of a pony she wanted to enter. Then the thought struck her. She would visit Vinyl.
Luna trotted around for a while, then finally came across Vinyl's house. She teleported inside instead, appearing right in Vinyl's room. For a moment, she wondered what she would trot into once she entered Vinyl's dreams. The princess closed her eyes, then opened them again, finding herself in Vinyl's dream.
But this was not a very pleasant dream. Within seconds of entering the white unicorn's dream, Luna could hear loud, ear-shattering dubstep. She found herself in the middle of a crowd of dancing, drunk ponies. Strobe lights flashed over every part of the dance floor as the alicorn caught a glimpse of Vinyl playing dubstep at her DJ booth. Ponies yelled in excitement, it was such a crazy experience.
Luna flew up and over the crowd of dancing mares and stallions, then landed next to the food table. But that was worthless, as she was invited to join the party again, and she was stuck in the dancing crowd once more. This wasn't worth being stuck in for hours. Luna closed her eyes. It was quiet and peaceful for a second. Opening her eyes, Luna looked around. She was back in Vinyl's room. She surely wasn't in Vinyl's dream for too long, but she was happy to get out of it. The starry-maned princess teleported back out of Vinyl's house.
Who else should I visit? Luna questioned herself in her mind. She avoided thinking of any other party-loving ponies, like Pinkie Pie.
Luna had another idea. She would go back to Canterlot and enter the dreams of Canterlot ponies. Canterlot ponies were never crazy like that, so it would surely be a good idea. Her first pony to visit in Canterlot tonight would be Octavia, the opposite of Vinyl. Luna spread her wings and flew back off to Canterlot, slightly smiling. A calm night of peaceful dream-entering with no parties would be nice. She wanted sleep, and these dreams were trustworthy. She could look at them and then leave. Parties were something that took a while to take care of, but garden parties were always easy to look at and trust for not being crazy.
Why didn't I think of this earlier? Luna thought jokingly.
