"You still don't have the sixth element. The spark didn't work! “Nightmare Moon argued. A look of worry and confusion crossed her face.
"Oh but it did, a different kind of spark." Twilight said back. She then turned to her five friends. "I felt it the very moment I relied how happy I was to hear you. To see you. How much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me. What I relies is that you all..." She turned back to Nightmare Moon. "...are my friends!"
A white light appeared above Twilight, everyone looked up as it floated just about Twilights head. The light was so bright that Nightmare Moon had to shield her eyes with a wing.
Twilight spoke up again "You see Nightmare Moon, when those elements are ignited by the... the spark that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element. The element of... Magic!" The light grew even bright than before. Twilight and her five friends began to float. The rocks floating around her friends attached to their necks and turned into necklaces, and the orb above Twilight turned into a crown. They themselves (Twilight and her friends) began to glow brighter and brighter till the elements created a rainbow of pure magic. The rainbow swirled around them it then jumped upward and towards Nightmare Moon, engulfing her.
"NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO" Nightmare Moon screamed. Twilight opened her eyes, they glowed a bright white before delivering the finally blow.
Sometime later they woke on the floor. Rainbow awoke first and one by one they all got up, and after a few sighs of relief Applejack said "Jee' Twilight I thought you were spoutin' a whole lot of whoee, but a reckon we really do represent the elements of harmony."
A white light then appeared in front of a nearby widow. "Indeed you do" it said, and being it outside the window the sun began to rise. As the light dissipated it was none other than Princess Celestia. She was two times larger than the average pony. Her wings spread and her mane flowed.
Upon seeing the princess, Twilight's friends bowed and Twilight ran up to greet her teacher. "I knew you could do it!" Celestia said proudly.
"But you said it was all just an old ponies tale," Twilight said back
"I told you, you needed to make some friends. Nothing more." She then looked to everpony else "I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon, and I knew you had the magic inside to defeat her. But you could not unleash it until you let true friend ship into your heart." She then looked to an unseen pony only just waking. She was a violet/blue alicorn with a light mane. "Princess Luna"
Princess Luna was startled by the voice.
"It has been a thousand year since I've seen you like this." Celestia walked over. She towered over the smaller alicorn. Luna was shaking with fear, terrified of what might happen next.
"Its ti- "she was cut off as yellow blot of magic launched itself in-between the two from the stairwell. Luna jumped back as Celestia took a step. Everypony looked to where the blot came from. As they looked through the darkened stairwell they saw nothing, but they did hear hoof beats and the jingling of bells. A figure jumped out of the darkness sliding to a halt in-between the princesses. A horn atop the ponies head glowed yellow.
Then he spoke "Don't thy dare touch Luna." His tone was stern and powerful. His horn fired, the bolt hit Celestia square in the face sending her flying. Everypony gasped. As Celestia got up she spoke "I wasn't..." Her voice died off as looked to the pony that just attacked her, His eyes were a brilliant yellow, coat a dull grey, atop his snow-white mane was a large dark blue pointy hat, light blue moons and golden stars covered it, as well on the cape he wore. The cape was secured around his neck with a golden band with a sky-blue gem in the middle. Golden bells lined the rim of the hat and cape. Finally he had a long curly beard of white.
"Luna stay behind me." he commanded. Celestia took a step forward muttering something un-hearable. Seeing her move forward the stallion fired a blot at her hooves.
"Listen to me St-" Celestia was cut off
"NO thy listen to ME! I shall not let anyone harm the ones I care ABOUT!" With that said the stallion's magic flared. A ghostly golden circle appeared under him, it seemed to spin and swirl with stars. His horn crackled with energy, and then he fired. It sped across the room in the blink of an eye. Celestia had no time to react as the sell hit her horn. She went flying across the room and through the wall.
Twilight and her friends look on with a mix of horror, fear, and wonder. Twilight swore she knew this pony, buy why would anypony wish to help Nightmare Moon? Rainbow dash was the first to break out of their trance.
"Nopony attacks the princess, you-" She didn't get to finish her sentence as she quickly found she no longer could speak. Looking down she saw a zipper over her mouth, looking back up she saw a yellow bolt of magic coming for her. She quickly rolled out of the way. "mHAmHA mou missmh! [HAHA you missed!]" Her celebration was short lived and the bolt turned and hit her in the back of the head.
"RAINBOW!" Applejack shouted "Why you no good for no-!" Before she could finish like Rainbow dash was swiftly knocked out by a yellow bolt of magic.
"What a second." Twilight said to herself, as the rest of her friends began to charge the stallion. "Bells, yellow magic, star runes, the pointy hat." Twilight gasped as she looked back to her friends. The Stallion was shooting bolt after bolt in front of a very frightened Luna. A ditsy looking Celestia climbed back though the hole.
"STOP THIS STARSWIRL!!!!" Luna shouted
Everything stopped.
"..." Twilight put the puzzle together "YOU'RE STARSWIRL THE BEARDED?!?!?!?" She squealed, running over she giggle laughed, cried, and squealed... mostly squealed.
"Twilight please stop. You're hurting my head..." Rainbow said slowly getting to her hooves.
Starswirl blinked at Twilight once, then twice, the three times, then shot another sleep spell at Rainbow Dash before answering "Indeed I, am Starswirl thee Bearded, and thy is?"
"I'm Twilight Sparkle, personal student of Princess Celestia." she said proudly
His eyes widened "Celestia?! Where is she!" he was holding her in his magical grip off the ground.
"Over there!" She replied pointing to the white alicorn.
"No that can't be her! Celestia has a short pink mane! And she is not that TALL! NOW WHERE IS SHE?!?!?!" He shouted shaking Twilight.
"Teacher..." Luna said quietly, Starswirl spun on his heels meeting her eye and replied with a "Yes?" Luna continued "Um... that is Celestia."
"Yes, It is me teacher." Celestia said walking over to Starswirl "You've been gone for a long time." she said with a sad smile.
Starswirl glared into Celestia's eye. "Ah it is thee...” He smiled "My students!" He grabbed Celestia and Luna in a hug that would make a bear proud. His smile quickly turned into a scowl, he then angrily smacked Celestia in the back of the head. The girls’ eyes widened as somepony just hit the princess.
"Ah what was that for?!" Celestia asked rubbing the back of her head. As well now the girls were confused.
"Thy should of said the code words!" He said smacking her again "I planned severally different scenarios like this! Witchdoctor cures turning thy into a frog, poison JOKE, or time travel and one of us ends up in the sometime else! I plain these things for a REASON!!!"
"I forgot!"
"The monkeys have the flux capacitor." Luna said weakly
"SEE thy sister remembers the code word!"
"SISTER?!" Everypony else in the room said...
"Yes speaking of sister I was in the middle of something before you shot me!" Celestia said
"Thy are the one who didn't put up a shield." Starswirl stated flatly
Celestia ignored him for the moment. "Where was I? Oh yes Princess Luna, My sister it has been a thousand years sense I've seen you like this, and I wish to offer you my hoof in friend ship."
"Yes of course big sister!" Luna said hugging Celestia tear running down her face. “I’ve missed you!"
"Me too sister, me too" She said tears sliding down her face.
"Aww's and tears filled the room other ponies in the room Pinkie crying a water fall. ”HUAAA do you guys know what this calls for?! A PARTY!!!" Pinkie yelled making her way to the door.
"A THOUSAND YEARS?!?!?!?!" Starswirl shouted
