Rainbow Dash has been sent back to Equestria, and very slowly starts to forget the moments that she shared with her daddy, until she forgets most everything about him (even the fact that he's human).

The memories of the mane six going to the human world are gone as well. But one day, Celestia needed a portal to be tested that leads to the real human world (it turns out the one Twilight went through to get her crown back was a different dimension entirely, and the creatures just resembled humans in a big way).

Rainbow Dash, with her daring, decided that she'd be the one to do it for a change. She goes through the portal, but she has been warned that if she doesn't make it back in a short amount of time, the portal WILL close on her, for an entire year…
