It had been 5 years since the triplets birth. Nyx and Shadow had gotten married and moved out but stayed in Ponyville close to their family and friends. Day Break or Dawn as her parents nicknamed her was a special child. She could fly up to perfection at the age of only 3 and she didn't lose her magic like most foals. Instead, her magic surges were her learning how to use her magic and she keep it.

Crystal and Fang were not as special but still hold a huge place in their parents hearts. Today was their first day in school. Dawn was looking forward to it as she was a total bookworm but didn't let it get in her way of making friends. Fang hated the idea of school and Crystal wasn't looking forward to it but wasn't annoyed either.

They had learned something about Dawn though. She was slightly different to most foals. Her left eye was slightly misaligned to the other but not by much. It was bad and her parents knew she would be teased but Dawn wanted to make friends and would do anything to do that.
