Heart of a Dragon

"So how long have you two been together now?" Twilight asked a rather ecstatic Spike.

" Eight months, twelve days, ten hours, and five minutes." Spike said in a giddy tone. "Oh! six minutes!"

"Has it really been over half a year?" Twilight said. "And what's your plan for today?"

"I plan to pop the question!" Spike said very determined. "Today is the day."

There was then a knock on the library door.

"Oh she's here!" Spike said with a glee, running to the door.

"Hey R-rarity." Spike struggled to speak, letting Rarity in the room.

"Wow Rarity!" Twilight complimented. "You look amazing!"

Rarity made her way gracefully into the room. Her stomach area was bulging out to a degree. But she carried it well.

"So how far along are you?" Twilight asked, offering Rarity a seat.

Rarity sat on the chair, relaxing herself and rubbing her bloated belly gently. "Oh almost there." She cooed with joy. "I felt a kick yesterday so it should be any day now."

"Do you know if it'll be a mare or stallion?" Twilight asked.

"The gender doesn't matter to me." Rarity said, looking at Spike with a loving gaze. "So long as its a dragon like his father."

"Rarity." Spike said. "I wanted to ask you something."

"Yes dear?" Rarity responded, batting her eyelashes at her dragon lover.

"Rarity..." Spike dropped to one knee and pulled out a small box. "I love you more than anything in all of Equestria. Will you...marry me?"

Spike opened the box to reveal a sparkling diamond ring, the gem sparkled like the night sky. Rarity's eyes were tearing up with joy.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Rarity said, using her magic to bring Spike closer, they hugged in a loving embrace. "I will marry you Spike. i want to spend the rest of my life with you!"
