It was a nice day in Ponyville; sunny, enough clouds for the pegasi to play in, the earth and unicorn ponies to enjoy and bask in the sun, until of course, it was scheduled to rain. The pegasi sighed unhappily as they forced the rain clouds upon the earth, causing other ponies to rush inside. Ponies dashed into places to escape the rain, most forgetting of the schedules the pegasi have foretold, yet, laughing it off all the same. Much like the pink wonder named Pinkie Pie and her pals, her giggling and snorting filling the room as they all rushed into Mrs. Cake’s shop, Twilight was soaked and trying out her new drying spell as Applejack worked on wringing her soaked hat. Rarity of course thought of an umbrella, being one of the few who remembered about the storm, and valued fashion more than anything. Fluttershy shook out her wings, sneezing softly as if she might have caughten a slight cold. Rainbow Dash was away for the moment, helping the pegasi shift the rainy clouds about, thoughts of the wonder bolts upon her mind..
“Hey! Hey! Lookie, there’s a pony! See?!” Cried out Pinkie Pie, her eyes focused as she pressed her nose against the glass. “Who’s that pony out there?!” Twilight wondered over to her along with the other girls, looking outside the window also,” She’s no pony I know, think she’s moving here to Ponyville?” Twilight wondered. Pinkie Pie squealed out happily, instantly babbling about the huge party she would hold for that some pony out there, who looked around with curiosity. “That poor dear! Shouldn’t we go help her?!” Rarity gasped this out, still intently watching the new pony with some curiosity herself. The girls all instantly agreed, gathering their courage and venturing into the rain, heading towards the mysterious pony.
“Hey!” Twilight yelled out, the rain pelting down upon their fur as they moved near the wagon, “You want to get into some shelter until the rain ends?” The head turned, bright red eyes focusing onto the mare as a soft voice spoke, “Well, if you don’t mind.. The rain came so suddenly, I had no idea it was coming..” Fluttershy watched their new visitor, slight fear descending upon her, as she hunched over in the rain, her wings slightly upraised to cover herself. Twilight began to lead the stranger to the shop, lightening flashing as the stranger suddenly smirked at her, eyes boring into Fluttershy’s eyes as she moved past her, the feeling of extreme unease passed over Fluttershy as she quickly ran behind Rarity, shivering. “Now there’s no need to be scared Fluttershy, they're our guest!” A small whimper was Rarity’s reply.
The girls arrived outside the door, Twilight quickly instructing their guest to leave her wagon near the door, no pony would touch it of course, but to keep an eye on one’s belongings was always smart. The crimson eyed stranger nodded, leaving her wagon almost right next to the door. The wagon was not much to examine, but as the girls all rushed in, Fluttershy could've swore she saw what seemed to be some red liquid coming out from beneath the black covers, her imagination almost immediatly running. The girls were soaked, except, for one. The mare entered the shop, taking off her cloak slowly and hanging it, revealing to be a pegasus, around their age. Pinkie Pie squealed suddenly, unable to hold her tongue any longer as she pounced upon her poor victim.
“Hi I’m Pinkie Pie! What’s your name? Where’d you move in from? Do you like Ponyville so far? What’s your favorite color? Do you like rubber chickens? Can we be friends? How do you-“.Twilight sighed, finally groaning out, “Pinkie Pie..” Pinkie Pie blinked, finally stopping and smiling widely at their visitor. “Well…“ Her voice was like a soft hollow whisper, dark, seductive almost. “I am Crimson Shine, I moved from a very distant town from here, it’s rainy here, and I like rain, so I suppose I do like it here already.. “
As the pony spoke, the girls examined her. The mare had silver fur, a beautiful spread of wings. Her mane was unkempt, almost blown back as if she flew there for the most part, which was certinaly a possibility. Her mane was a shocking crimson red, as her eyes was a sharp bright red, much lighter then her hair. Her cutie mark revealed a patch of fur being red almost like a foggy haze, a crescent shaped red moon, much darker then the patch of fur around it. Upon closer examination the moon almost seemed to be cracked in some areas. A small bright red star was shining between the two points of the crescent, much brighter then all of her fur, besides her white muzzle which stuck out against her fur, yet seemed to belong there.
“My favorite color is any dark color, though I do get sick of red.” She smiled softly, “Rubber chickens are okay I guess, and as long as you don’t bite we can be friends.” Her smile became a bit wider as her eyes seemed to darken, a dark look casting upon her features as Pinkie Pie squealed. “Oh I so don’t bite! Biting is mean anyways, who’d like biting!? Well, unless you're like Gummy..” The mare laughed, obviously pleased that Pinkie liked her joke as the rest of the girls warmed up around her, began to talk to her. “I’m Twilight; you’ll learn I’m kind of a book worm...-”. “ That's a huge uuunderstatment!” Giggled out Pinkie, snorting a little between her giggles.
"Well i'm AppleJack, i'm a part of the Apple family, you should come down and try our apples some time." Applejack had gotten her hat all dried off for the most part, fwopping it back on her head. "As I am Rarity, you really must try my dresses, they are simply divine!" Rarity gave off yet another dramatic pose, causing Pinkie to giggle behind her. Twilight shook her head and smiled, soon nudging Fluttershy towards Crimson Shine. "O-o-ooh..."
Fluttershy sat there awkward at first, not knowing what to do or what to say. Unholy fear struck her as she looked into the mare's eyes, the endless red filling her for a moment. "Fluttershy.." Twilight frowned, not quiet understanding Fluttershy's actions of the moment. Fluttershy just whimpered, turning her face away from Crimson Shine. Crimson just smiled and said softly, "That's okay... Everyone has their shy moments.." Twilight smiled apologetically at Crimson as Fluttershy scuttled away.
“It is a pleasure to meet all of you first; you make Ponyville to seem like a very nice community...” She almost purred out the last word, causing Fluttershy to almost whimper again. Something about this mare seemed awfully off.. “Oh darling, what is that on your foot!?” Cried out Rarity, her eyes focused on Crimson Shine’s foot. Crimson Shine giggled, “Oh this? Paint!” Upon her hoof an almost dark, rusty looking red was on it. Fluttershy almost let out another whimper as Crimson grinned, “I get messy with my art sometimes, and it’s why the wagon is covered up so much. I didn’t want the art to get ruined on the way!” She casually strolled her way over to some napkins, cleaning it off and throwing the napkin away. “Good thing I use washable paint too, huh?” She smiled, obviously warming up to the girls slowly herself. An hour passed as the girls chattered, Fluttershy and Crimson Shine were both very silent, Crimson almost seeming like she was observing all of them and Fluttershy just trying to not run straight out of the shop.
“Well girls, it seems the rain has calmed down to a drizzle, I really must be going.” She smiled, standing up and pausing at the door way. “Thank you for your hospitality.” She began to step out of the door way as Pinkie Pie suddenly screeched out, “WAIT!” The mare turned, surprised for a moment. “Welcome to Ponyville, your welcoming party is at six pm sharp tonight!” Pinkie Pie smiled. Crimson laughed, “Alright, six pm sharp, I’ll be there.” The mare left, mounting the wagon back upon herself as she dragged it along the path, the rain drizzling softly as the fog began to lift, hiding her from their prying eyes. Pinkie grinned, “I think she’s nice!” The girls all agreed happily, as Fluttershy stayed as quiet as a mouse, fear filling her.
They didn’t expect a thing. Crimson smiled as she settled into her home, mounting her paintings upon walls, placing lamps upon their needed places, and books in their shelves. Of course they wouldn’t. I was perfect… The perfect little pony… She chuckled, setting up a mirror as she gazed into it, her eyes hungry. The one named Rarity is a fine piece… Her hair, her flank, and the way it shines! It’s exactly what I need, but I need to examine the other ponies first.. of course. Cannot be too greedy, can I? She laughed, wondering into the basement and quickly tugging upon the rug, instantly up lifting it enough to reveal a trap door. No one could’ve possibly guessed the trap door was there, the rug looked perfect. Perfect and dirty looking of course.
Crimson wondered down the stairs, yanking down boxes with her, being as careful as she could be. She looked upon her surroundings; the cellar was large, larger than the actual first story. It had more rooms then most, it was perfect. No one would know where to look, not to mention it had a perfect fireplace down here.. She smirked, the ideas churning in her head as she began to decorate the basement as well, her red eyes gleaming as she settled into her perfect dream home… Her perfect sort of town….
It was six pm sharp, and almost all of Ponyville was at Twilight’s place, the library being the perfect place to hold their party for Crimson, Every pony could fit with tons of room, even with food and drink and still party their tail off! Rainbow Dash huffed impatiently, “When is she going to be here?! I thought you said she was really cool pegasus Pink-Woah.” Rainbow Dash eyes widened as she watched the pegasus enter the room, her red eyes not missing a single pony as she entered. “Is tha-that her..?” Dash gulped as Pinkie smirked, “Oh yeah, that’s her..” She nudged Dash, “Great rebound from Apple, right?” Dash nodded as she numbly started towards the mare.
“Ha-Hi! I’m Rainbow Dash!” Crimson turned to see the mare before her, he eyes widening. By Celestia! Her gorgeous hair! She played it cool though, as she smiled and nodded to her, “I am Crimson Shine, it's a pleasure to meet you..” She smiled at Dash, her eyes upon her hair. “You’re hair is beautiful..” Dash laughed, blushing as she kicked the ground with her hoof, “Oh-oh… You really think so?” Instantly catching Rainbow Dash’s reactions, Crimson smirked, the weakness exploited. She leaned into Dash’s ear, whispering breathlessly, “I know so.” Dash smiled widely, “Wo-Wow thanks!” Dash almost acted like she was talking to Wonder Bolts once more.
Crimson soon nodded, beginning her way away as Dash eagerly stuck to her side, chattering with her as Crimson noted every pony, tomorrow she will haft to take pictures.. She really did enjoy taking pictures of unknowing ponies. They were at their most vulnerable state. She smiled about even thinking about it, but soon noticed one thing. As all ponies acted like they all enjoyed her, one did not. Fluttershy. She glanced upon the small shuddering mare, the poor thing was scared, so scared. She had every reason to be scared, every single reason to be in fear.
She began her way to Fluttershy, her eyes targeted on the poor mare as a smile began on her features. The game of cat and mouse was even better then the picture taking, because when you know the pony is scared of you, when some pony knows there's some off about you.. There's just a thrill of making their fear go to terror. Dash instantly greeted her friend, finding everything to be just dandy as Crimson targeted her, looking her straight in the eyes, “Hello Fluttershy, how is your evening so far? I do hope you’re enjoying this party.” She smiled, “I-i-i a-” Fluttershy whimpered the rest of her sentence, hunching up and letting her hair cover her face as Twilight came up from behind her. “Hey guys, what’s up?” Pinkie Pie could be heard from over the chatter, “CONGA LINE! WOOOOHOOOOO!” All the ponies seemed to gasp in excitement and pleasure, instantly joining in on the fun that Pinkie offered, Dash looking at the conga line, then her new partner.
“Hey Crimson, uhm, oh, is it okay if I call you just Crimson?” Crimson didn’t even bat an eye lash as she stared at Fluttershy intently, almost daring her to voice her thoughts, “Not at all Dashy.” Dash seemed to beam in pleasure over the nickname already, “Can we go join the Conga line?” Dash looked beyond ready to conga, so of course, what pony would say no to that master piece? Crimson smiled and said in her hollow whisper, “But of course.” Dash yelled out, “Great!” And snatched the pegasus by her hoof, yanking her to the ever growing line as Crimson’s hooves landed upon Dash’s shoulder, another ponies landing upon her shoulders. Fluttershy instantly relaxed, the fear was gone… For now.
The night went on by, Dash stuck by Crimson’s side almost the whole night, chattering her ear off about the wonder bolts, and racing, and all sorts of things. Crimson did not mind this chatter, it amused her almost how much the pony was trying to impress her. It was almost.. Endearing. She gulped, no, feeling emotions is not what this is about. It’s about learning and processing tonight.. And practice. She smiled as her eyes began to gaze at ponies dancing away, the night quickly turning into a haze, and soon it all but abruptly ended.
As Dash and Crimson walked out together, Dash seemed almost reluctant to leave. Crimson smiled as she softly said, "Would you like me to fly you home?" Dash grinned, nodding as they flew up to Dash’s home, stopping at her door. “It was pleasure having you as company for the night Rainbow Dash.” Crimson smiled, cocking her own head a little, knowing how she looked. Her fur seemed like it was glowing underneath the full moon, her bright red eyes contrasting against the silver, her crimson hair wild and framing her face. Rainbow Dash gulped, her eyes flickering to the mare’s mouth before her eyes, “Oh, yeah, no problem being in your company, heh!” She laughed hoarsely, she opened the door, and almost retreated inside before popping her head back out, almost forgetting to say good night. Instantly she felt a kiss upon her cheek as the mare nuzzled her, “Good night Rainbow Dash…” And with a beat of wings, Crimson was gone.
Dash eyes were wide as she numbly went towards her bed, laying down into it, and then squealing out happily, a sudden fit of joy filling her body as she realized what happened tonight. She was one step over Applejack... As most ponies went to bed that night, Crimson did not. She felt a sudden fit of art was needed, and art surges did not last that long. At most they only lasted hours. That cellar was her best bet of a fit of creativity, and art was life to her.

The sun rose in the morning, the ponies slowly waking up, the pegasi yawning as they awoke. They all soon headed to work, ponies going to their jobs. In the market place a mare wonders, her blue fur and her worried amber eyes standing out in the crowd as she frantically asked, “Have you seen Bon Bon? Anypony?” Her white blue hair was a streak as she asks any pony if they have seen Bon Bon, and where she could possibly be…
