When a parade to welcome the new princess was announced to be held in Ponyville, everypony looked forward to it with much curiosity and excitement, especially Pinkie Pie. After all, a parade was a sort of party, and Pinkie looked forward to meet the princess-to-be if only to meet a new friend.

This first chapter will be fast-paced and heavy on diolauge and exposition, but later on I will slow down and allow more room for description and showing. I just want to get it out there before I change my mind.
