Somnium

Sibling love. That is a familiar phrase to most ponies. The rivalry between siblings, and the overwhelming comradery when faced with a common threat that neither could face and hope to win alone. Siblings will almost always fight, but they do so lovingly. This is why when Somnium and his younger brother, Blazing Trail, were forced to fight to the death in order to keep surviving, they tried to find a solution that didn't end in death.

Somnium asked his brother one question: "How could it have come to this?" His brother shook his head and said, "I don't know, but you know how temperamental Iron Hoof gets when one of his bodyguards fails, especially since it was you." Somnium nodded his understanding, and asked another question, "Where are the other hunters?" Blazing Trail simply gestured behind him, where two ponies could be seen as little more than specks.

Somnium thrust out his wings and prepared to fly, which caused his brother to wince, for they had multiple arrows within them. "Somnium, if you fly, the others will catch up and kill you. You can't even fly with the condition your wings are in. Just come quietly, and perhaps Iron Hoof will spare you." Somnium simply glanced at his younger brother and uttered one phrase before taking off into the sky, going at an incredible speed.

When the other hunters quickly arrived at Blazing Trail's location, they gruelingly questioned him about what had transpired. The unicorn then resumed teleporting after Somnium, while the earth pony stayed behind to question him about whether Somnium had said anything to his brother. Blazing Trail looked at the earth pony and said, "'There's a party at Mother's, and everyone's invited.'"
