Sparkle of hope, My last battle. The Battle for Equestria.

Purple... That's all I could see as the effects of the explosion wore off, a coat of purple, a small line of red started to lower its way further down the coat, I then realized what the purple that blocked my vision was...

The general she's hurt, need to help her...

I tried to rise to my feet to move closer to her but a searing pain in my left leg stopped me, I reached down and rubbed the area the pain came from, my fingers came back covered in the red liquid I knew all to well, Blood.

I shuffled my way over to the nearest wall and leaned my back against it, and gave my fresh wound a quick look, and sadly my fear, had become reality, a deep wound, most likely caused by the explosion, bits of shrapnel where embedded in the wound, I'm not sure if I have the supplies to clear and wrap it up, if not I'm limping to the extraction zone, and by the looks of things, I'll be carrying the purple mare of cuteness over my shoulder as well.

I tried yet again to rise to my feet this time using the wall to steady my self, the searing pain resurfaced and I nearly dropped to the floor, but I held myself up, and started to limp my way over to the purple mare.

I lowered my self so that I could examine her, she also had a wound but hers was on one of her back legs, and it was a bullet wound as well, at least hers will be easier to patch up, but... Was she alive?

I gave her a quick tap on the back and she quickly inhaled, her eyes opening slowly, as her brain tried to process what was happening, a tear leaked from her eye and she focused on me, a weak smile forming on her face.

"Sa-sarg-sargent?"

I smiled and gave her a short nod.

"Yeah general, its me"

Her smile widened and she tried to rise, but her wound kept her on the ground, as she winced in pain.

"Ah, wha sargent?"

I lifted her up so she could stand but she was shaky.

"You've been hit, just don't move to fast or you'll bleed out quicker"

She nodded and looked at her wound then back up at me.

"What now, Sargent?"

I looked out of the window and sighed.

"I'm gonna radio command for our evac bird, then we get the hell out of here when it arrives"

The general nodded and leaned closer to me.

"Sargent are you alright?"

I nodded and grabbed my radio and input the frequency for command.

"Yeah I'm fine general"

She looked at my leg and her eyes widened as she discovered my wound, which was leaking badly.

"Sargent your leg, its bleeding"

I dismissed it with a wave.

"Its okay general, I'll pull through"

She lifted her hoof to say something, but a voice coming from my radio cut her off, I replied and called in the evac chopper, then cut the signal.

"Chopper should be here soon general"

She started to move towards the door, a small look of pain on her face as she walked.

"Okay then sargent let's move"

I nodded and we left the building and proceeded to move to the nearest open field, and lit a flare.

"Sargent, I need to tell you something?"

I looked down to her and smiled.

"Go ahead general"

she lightly smiled back.

"Well... I'm... Pregnant"

My eyes widened.

"Wha..."

I was cut off as the sound of gunfire rang out from behind us, I turned around and spotted the worst thing that I could of spotted just then...

A platoon of PLA soldiers started pouring out of the nearby forest, all of the heading our way, I crouched in front of the general and started to shoot at the incoming invaders.

"General get down"

She ducked as the enemies rounds started to hit the dirt around us, I carried on firing rounds off, intent on taking the invaders with me.

The sound of a helicopter above us started to drown out the sound of gunfire, as our evac chopper came into sight, a uh-60 blackhawk transport helicopter, our last chance to escape the battle.

The evac bird landed thirty meters away from us and we both started to sprint towards it, then all of a sudden, I was on the ground, a piercing agony burning my back.

The general, stopped running and leaned her face closer to mine and she shouted to be heard over the helicopters blades.

"Sargent get up now, that's a order"

"I can't move, general, go without me"

She started crying and gave me a quick nuzzle.

"I'm not leaving you sargent"

I lifted my arm and gave her a gentle push towards the evac bird.

"I'm not giving you a choice, now move it sparkle"

She started sobbing and gave me a passionate kiss, which I returned the best I could, when she broke off she turned to run towards the chopper, not before she said her last farewell.

"Goodbye Connor... I love you"

She started to cry again and ran towards the evac bird, she got on and gave me one last look before the bird lifted off and left, heading towards canterlot.

My eyelids started to feel heavy, and just as the helicopter carrying my heart left my vision, I let one last tear fall before my eyes closed for the last time.

"I love you too... Twilight"

Hey guys and gals, its a oneshot of my new universe, The Battle for Equestria, and don't worry I'm planning to update my Jack of blades fic tommorow, haven't done it in a while. (Damn writers block)
