Behind the bright facade that Equestria puts on, there lies a world of darkness. A world where escape is an ever-present commodity that finds itself often too present. Twilight Sparkle, a unicorn scholar, finds herself not only thrown into this world that she knows nothing about, but also trying to overcome a vampiric nature that she knows hardly anything about.

Being caught up in some kind of prophesy from the start, Twilight finds herself in over her head with her new friends that are in just as bad. Together, they find themselves facing horrors beyond what any mortal could even dream of seeing.
