I walk through the cold of the night, the wind blowing through my golden mane. My dirty white coat is ruffled in the wind of a cold fall night. My stomach rumbles as if to say, "I need food! I need food!"
Sadly, I had to answer it with, "Sorry, but I have no food." I walk into an alleyway and over to a dumpster, which had a rather smelly but comfortable mattes on top, and boxes as a stairwell up to it. I jump on to my bed and lie down. I have no blanket, I also have no family and no home, sad isn't it? I lay my head on the bed and close my eyes, soon only to find myself within peaceful rest.
I awake to a crash of lightning and a roar of thunder, rain poring on me and my bed. I quickly grab a cardboard box from below and cover my bed, shaping it as a tent. Once again, I fall asleep.
The busy city noises awakened me from my sleep once more and I yawned and hoped down my little cardboard stairs into a puddle which I jumped into. I giggled as it splashed my face washing it off, the water seemed to be clean, so I decided to roll in it. I stood up wet and clean, my pure white coat shining in the fall sun.
I walked out of the alleyway into a busy side walk. Many ponies shouted and shoved as I tried to make my way through. As a poor filly I often got picked on by some of the orphanage colts, and and that wasn't going to be very good, at lest for any colt that would try and pick on me. Two colts walked my way and I saw them, but pretended not to. The colts grabbed me by my arms, only to let me go one second afterwords. You see, for somepony who often gets picked on, I have learned a thing or two.
As soon as they grabbed me I used my fore hooves, since they grabbed my shoulders, to punch them in the ribs and push them to the ground. "Now, are you going to leave me *ALONE?** Or are you going to need some more?" I smirked. The colts looked at each other before looking at me, followed by a explosion of laughter, literally.*
The two colts were known as Jerry and Dave.Jerry was13, and Dave was 12. Jerry looked at me and said, "You think you're that tough ?!" He started laughing again.
Dave just laughed, he didn't talk much, or at lest that I knew of. "I know that that punch hurt you a little bit."
"So what if it did, it's not like you could hurt us any more than that being a girl!" Jerry snickered.
"RAAAAA!" I jumped on Jerry and punched him as hard as I could, in the face.
"Ouch! That dang hurt!" Jerry yelled trying to get up, but I use my fore hooves to keep his fore hooves on the ground.
"Hay! Let him go!" Dave yelled as he jumped on my back.
I buck Dave off of me and I let Jerry up. "Now, shall we proceed or are you done messing with me?" I said.
Jerry and Dave jumped on top of me and I kicked them off of me. "How old are you?" Jerry asked me trying to hold me down.
"11." I answered. This answer made Jerry freeze.
"Oh pony feathers! We'er getting beet up by an 11 year old filly?!" Dave looked at Jerry. "We are going to be the laughing stock at the orphanage!" Dave said with embarrassment.
Just then I jumped up whirled around, bucked Dave into the brick wall of the hotel, and I grabbed Jerry by his mane and slammed him into the ground.
"This chick is nuts!" Jerry said standing up.
"Lets get out of here!" Dave said running off with Jerry.
The two words that went through my mind at that moment were, "Girl Power!"
I walked along, beginning to think of why I don't have a family, or a place to call home.
Suddenly, I bummed into somepony! It was a mare unicorn with a white coat and a royal purple mane and tail.
"Oh, hello there young filly!" The unicorn said.
Behind her, were five other ponies and one of them was Princess Twilight Sparkle!
"Hi." I said. I don't speak to grown ponies in the city, especially the extremely high class ponies.
"What is your name?" The unicorn asked.
"Samantha." I said.
"That is a fabulous name dear, my name is Rarity, and these are my friends: Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash." Rarity finished.
"Hello Samantha." The five said at once.
"Hi." I said again.
"Samantha dear, are you lost? Where are your parents?" Rarity asked with concern.
"I don't have any parents, neither do I have a home." I said.
"Why don't you come to Ponyville with us?" Rarity asked.
My face lit up. "Really!?" I said.
"Really." Rarity answered.
"Yay!" I yelled.
So I got on the train with them and went to Ponyville. The town was small but very nice. First I went to Rarity's house with her friends and got washed off.
"I am going to get you all washed up, so that your coat can remain pure white, and you mane gold." Rarity said washing me from mane to tail.
Next I went to Applejack's farm to get some apple pie. "This is the best pie in the world!" I said as I literally stuffed my face.
"Aw shucks, thanks. Applejack said.
At the farm, I ran into Applejack's little sister, Applebloom, and she and her friends made me part of the Cutie Mark Crusaders!
I even got a small red cape!
"Thank you Applebloom." I said.
Your welcome my fellow CMC." Applebloom said with a smile.
After that I went back to Rarity's house, she gave me a bed and it even smelled good.
"I'm glad I ran into you Rarity." I said with a giggle as she tucked in the covers.
"I'm glad to. A filly or a colt should never be left to fend for themselves on the streets." Rarity said with a looked of disappointment on her face.
"I...yawn...agree." I said. I was very tired from the long day, and I was ale excited to see what would happen next.
'Crash' 'Bang' "Oh my, where is that thread?!" Rarity said waking me up.
"Rarity what is wrong?" I asked, seeing that her mane was a mess and her eyes looked sleepy as if she had stayed up all night.
"Well, last night, I was informed by Sapphire Shores that she needs her new falls outfits a week early!" Rarity said with panic, and then she took a deep breath and continued her search.
"Sapphire Shores...the Sapphire Shores...you mean that you work for, Sapphire Shores the Pony of Pop!?" I asked with excitement.
"Yes dear." Rarity said with a calm smile. "I will have to leave tonight if I want to make it on time. So you will stay with Twilight wile I am gone."
"YAAAAAAY! I get to stay with Princess Twilight, I get to stay with Princess Twilight!" I yelled.
Later Rarity and I walked throughout the doors of the Golden Oak Library. "Twilight darling, we'er here."
"Hi girls." Twilight said walking over from the kitchen.
"Hi Princess Twilight!" I said.
"Please Samantha, call me Twilight." Twilight said with a smile.
"Ok Twilight." I smiled back.
"Good luck with you sewing Rarity." Twilight said.
"Thank you, I'm going to need it." Rarity said trotting out the door.
Twilight turned to me and said, "Samantha, do you now how to read?" Twilight asked with a hopeful smile.
"A little." I answered.
"Well how about I teach you how to read?" Twilight said, her smile getting bigger and bigger.
"Would you? Oh thank you Twilight, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said.
"Alright, lets get started!" Twilight said pulling a book from one of the selves.
After a wile, I got used to shuffling around to the ponies houses.
On time, I stayed with Pinkie Pie and she threw a party and I ate a lot of cupcakes.
Another time, I stayed with Fluttershy, and She taught me about the animals and what they were called, I even got to pet and even feed some of them!
When I stayed with Applejack, I got to cook, and Applejack taught me how to do just that. My Apple pie wan't as good as her's but, I did pretty well.
Rainbow Dash was the one exception to me staying with all of them because she lived in the sky in a cloud house, and since I'm not a pegasus, I can't go up there.
Twilight continued to help me learn how to read and write, and Rarity made me clothes.
I just went to the Crystal Empire for the first time, and it was for the Equestria Games! and Spike got to light the opening torch!
I can't wait to see what will happen next.
The six ponies became my family, and I will always remember the day that I bumped into Rarity and my life changed.
"I'm done Twilight." Samantha said.
"Oh let me see." Twilight picking up the small purple diary.
"Very good! Your writing has really improved!" Twilight complimented.
"Thanks." Samantha smiled.
"You're welcome." Twilight replied.
"Hay Twilight." Samantha said.
"Yes." Twilight looked over at Samantha.
"Do you ever feel like...like something amazing is about to happen.?" Samantha asked.
"Sometimes, why?" Twilight asked.
"Because I feel like something amazing is going to happen this coming Saturday." Samantha said.
"Well I guess we will have to see." Twilight smiled.
"Suppose so." Samantha smiled back.
