This story starts at the door of the generous Rarity's store The carousel boutique. She was tending to a customer that was looking at her new clothing line. "This stuff is fantastic how do you make it?"
"Trade secret darling you know how it is."
"I guess thanks. Wait what was it called again?"
"Leather dear." After the conversation she went back into her shop were Sweetiebelle stand admiring her sister's new work. She was looking at them so closely she didn't even notice her sister going through the metal door in the back of the shop. "My my many of these ponies are getting quite curious aren't they." She turned on the lights in the dark room to reveal a blood stained floor piles of animals missing their skins a leather tanning rack and an assortment of knives and other tools. She proceeded to skin an animal she had strapped to a table. "Last time you scratch me you mangy fur ball." She made light delicate cuts to get all the skin. "My the fur on this one will make a lovely coat." She said as she hacked the creature's skin off. When she was done she stretched the hide and put on the tanning rack. She went up and down with the knife in her hoof. She collected the fur as if fell. Soon it was just a bloody hide hanging on the rack. Then their was a knock on the big metal door. When she opened the door she saw Sweetiebelle trying to poke her head in. "Sweetiebelle I told you never to disturb me while I'm working!"
"I know but there are more customers out here." Rarity came out of the room and tended to the customers who bought more leather clothing. Then Rainbow dash came in the shop and started looking around. "Hey Rar I heard you got a cool new fabric and I thought I might want to check it out."
"Of course Rainbow darling I've set up several displays so look around." Rainbow looked around at the new clothing line. After awhile she picked out a leather jacket she seemed to take a shine to. "Wow this looks so cool how much?"
"Why for a dear friend it's free of course."
"Wow thanks Rarity you really are the pony of generosity."
"Thank you dear." With the jacket Rainbow left the shop and left Rarity to her work. She went back into the dark room and continued tanning the hide. When she was done she had the fur and a new piece of leather to work with "Again this fur gives me a brilliant idea." When she came out she showed Sweetiebelle her newest creation. She had used used some older leather she'd tanned and the fur of the animal to make another jacket with and inside lined with the fur. "Wow what's this soft stuff inside of it?" Sweetiebelle questioned as she held the jacket.
"It's nothing special really nothing to concern your self with." Rarity said trying to hide a snicker. This continued on for a while longer except. The leather demands grew higher and higher and Rarity had to get bigger and bigger animals. One day she was working in the back late at night. she herd a knock on the big door. She opened to she Rainbow dash standing out side "Rainbow Dash What are you doing here so late?" Rarity questioned.
"I was heading home when I saw the lights on And I thought you were open late tonight so I came by to see if you could make my jacket a little cooler. 20% should do." Rainbow explained.
"Let me see what I can do. Stay out here I'll be out soon." She went in the back and looked around for something to add to the jacket. She had decided to line it with fur. She was putting the fur in it when she heard the door open. "Hey Rarity what's taking so long. What are all of this are those animals? Is this what leather is made of?" Rainbow questioned breathing nervously.
"Rainbow Dash I told you to wait outside!" Rarity yelled.Before Rainbow could comprehend what was happening Rarity knocked her out with the nearest blunt object. When she woke up she saw a displeased looking Rarity. "Oh Rainbow Dash you've really done it now. I told you to stay out there and you come snooping in here. You know my secret I can't let you go oh what to do what to do?" She asked pacing back and forth.
"Rarity please tell me this is a joke please."
"Dash you know it isn't proper for a lady to lie." With that Dash started to pant and struggle as Rarity paced back and forth. Then a thought came to Rarity. "I need more leather and Rainbow can't leave hmm." A grin crossed the unicorn's face as she brought over the tray of tools. "Rarity wha-what are you doing please don't I won't tell anypony please don't kill me." She started to cry.
"Oh Rainbow Dash don't be such a drama queen. Now that I've thought about it you're just the kind of animal I need. You'll provide a fine amount of leather and that mane your's gives me such marvelous ideas." Rarity grabbed a surgical knife and got ready to cut "How should I do this? Should I start at the side or go straight down the middle decisions decisions. But first." She realized what she must remove first. She took the scalpel and cut a scalpel and cut a perfect outlines of Rainbow's cutie marks. After she cut she used her magic to yank them off. The crazed pony put them to her ears "Wouldn't these make the most darling ear rings." She questioned sarcastically. "But in all seriousness these could be used for something." The air burned Rainbow's exposed muscle as Rarity prepared to cut more flesh. "I only need so big of pieces." Rarity raised the surgical knife to Rainbow's chest "You're chest will make a fairly large piece if cut correctly." As Rarity cut and started to remove the large piece of skin Rainbow yelled and squirmed in pain then the flesh ripped while she squirmed making the pain even more intense. "Rainbow Dash you ripped it. This was a perfect piece and you ruined it. You know you have to be punished." Rarity said as she walked out of Rainbow's sight. When Rainbow could see her again she had a large pitcher. "Rarity what is that what are you doing?" The terrified pegasus questioned.
"This is a salt shaker you knew that." Rarity responded annoyed. She took a pinch of the salt in her hoof and rubbed it on her skinless chest . Rainbow Yelled in pain again starting to cry. "Now be still!" Rarity demanded. She started to cut a bit of skin lower down almost the size of the torn piece. "This isn't as big but it's still pretty good. I should punish you again but there'd be no reason for it." Rarity commented. Rainbow was now bleeding everywhere on the front side of her body. Rarity used her magic to grab a saw and angled it at Rainbow's wing. "now be still and this should go quickly through those thin bones of your's." Rarity said dementedly. She started sawing at the wing tearing through the flesh and bone. "I could make so many feather accessories with these beautiful wings." Rarity said excitedly. Rainbow was crying loudly because of the pain. "Cry all you want but the room is sound proof. I knew I would need something like this some of those animals can be so loud." With what little nerve she had she tried to flap her wing free of the deranged Unicorn's grasp. This caused Rarity to slip and cut into Rainbow's back. Rarity looked displeased and very angry. "RAINBOW DASH WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT RUINING THE LEATHER?! YOU MUST BE PUNISHED AGAIN!" She yelled with full fury. She lifted Rainbow with her magic poured salt all over the table flipped and put Rainbow back down. Rainbow yelled louder than ever with the salt drying and tearing her muscles. "I was done with the front anyways." Rarity stated. She cut the wings off and started to cut off the skin to the back. She cut the entire back off in a large strip of skin. "This piece is simply marvelous wouldn't you agree?" Rarity asked showing Rainbow what used to be the her skin. "All that's left is your sides and hooves not much to be done with the head other than that beautiful mane of yours. Oh that reminds me." Rarity realizing she had forgot something got a butcher knife pulled on Rainbow's tail and cut it clean off. Rainbow was now about to pass out from blood loss and pain. "Wake up!" Rarity demanded as she smacked Rainbow. "Do you no how rude it is to fall asleep at some pony's house while they're trying to entertain you? Maybe this will wake you up." Rarity said as she poured more salt onto Rainbow's skinless back. Rainbow jumped and winced due to the sudden horrific sting. Rarity proceeded to cut the skin from Rainbow's sides. "A little thin but it'll do." She said examining the first side she cut. She finished with the sides the went for the hooves. "these could make some beautiful boots." Rarity said excitedly. "Now for that colorful mane of yours it could make many wonderful scarfs." Soon Rainbow was nothing but muscle. She quickly died and Rarity threw her with the other dead animals then started to tan the hide of the formally rainbow pony.
