The Heroes of Equestria
Chapter 9
Previous ChapterNext ChapterJon and the six mares were in the lounge. Jon sat in a chair in the corner of the room while the ponies sat on the couches. A table stood at Jon’s left. A blanket rested upon it.
Twilight was muttering something to herself but no one could hear what it was.
“So,” Applejack said. “We’re travelin’ to the other side of the planet to kill a giant heart?”
“The fate of Equestria depends on us.” Jon answered. “Yes Applejack, that is exactly what we’re doing.”
“Sounds like I shoulda packed some stuff.” She responded.
“By the time we get there, Equestria will be a wasteland.” Rainbow Dash complained.
“Maybe there is a faster way to get there?” Fluttershy asked, hiding her face behind her mane.
“I sure hope so.” Jon responded.
Twilight’s voice was becoming more understandable and clear. “500,000,000 kilometers… 500,000,000 kilometers!!!!” She started yelling.
“Twilight, calm down.” He spoke softly.
She buried her face in a pillow and screamed for a second.
“Oh my…” Fluttershy said. “Are you okay Twilight?”
Twilight didn’t respond and kept her face buried in the pillow.
“Maybe it’s best we all hit the hay.” Applejack suggested.
“Mhmm!” Pinkie Pie said.
Everypony agreed, as well as Jon, who grabbed the folded blanket on the table to his left and unfolded it, throwing it over his body. “Goodnight everypony.” He said, closing his eyes.
“Goodnight Jon.” Everypony said in monotone, except for Twilight, who was still face down in the pillow.
“Hey Jon.” Applejack whispered. “You should make Twilight feel better.” She winked and they all looked at her.
Jon looked at her with a blank expression.
“We’ll rest in the room down the hall.” Rarity stated as the five mares walked out of the room.
Applejack turned off the lights on the way out. Jon stood up and approached Twilight. “Hey.” He whispered into her ear. “It’s alright.” He stroked her mane and she looked up at him, having their eyes meet.
“We’ll make it…” He whispered.
She moved in to kiss him passionately. “Thank you…” She spoke softly after releasing him.
“Don’t mention it.” He said, grinning.
Seconds passed of staring at each other and she finally spoke again. “Will you sleep with me?”
“Sure thing.” He said, getting up, grabbing his blanket, and coming back after. “I wanna try something new.” He said after several seconds of silence and cuddling.
“Uh sure.” She said.
He moved down and saw her clit. He slid his tongue around her lips, which were now clenching tightly. She gave out a gasp and her body twitched slightly. He quickly slid his tongue into her, causing the pleasant soothing moans to increase.
Jon didn’t consider thinking about the fact he was pleasuring a pony sexually. He actually liked her. He slid his tongue out and went back in going even farther than last time. He traced it around the walls of her wetted marehood. Her moans increased slightly. Several minutes passed and her juices flooded his mouth and sank down his throat.
He looked at her to see she was falling asleep.
He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight.
“You’re really warm.” She stated.
“So are you.” He said, throwing the blanket off. There was no need in using it, considering he had Twilight with him.
Within seconds, she fell asleep listening to the sound of his heartbeat. He fell asleep a few minutes after.
Morning came and Jon woke up, stretched out his arms, and yawned. Twilight started to wake up and looked at him; her eyes halfway open.
“Good morning, Jon.”
Jon smiled a little bit. “Good morning.” He stood up. “I’m gonna ask Emberbeam where the showers are.”
“I’ll come with you. I need a shower too.”
They stepped out of the room and walked down a long corridor toward the elevator they came from and entered it. Jon pressed the top floor button. The doors slid shut and opened within a minute. Emberbeam stood in the large steel-walled room, doing absolutely nothing.
“Would you happen to know where the showers are?” Jon asked.
“Yes. Of course.” She answered. “They are on the sixteenth floor.”
“Why thank you, Emberbeam.” He said kindly.
“I will send food down to the lounge as well.”
“Thank you.” He reiterated.
They both went to the sixteenth floor to reveal several showers. Jon stepped in one and Twilight did the same. Several minutes passed and they both came out. He didn’t really want to wear dirty clothes so he kept himself in a towel.
They went back to the lounge to see two bowls of salad. Jon groaned miserably and took a small bite out of a leaf. His eyes shot open.
“Oh my gosh…” He said. “THIS IS THE BEST DAMN SALAD I’VE EVER TASTED!” He swallowed. “Pardon my rude manners and language.” He said in a more quiet tone.
“Oh it’s fine.” The lavender color coated mare said, shoving her face in her own bowl of salad.
Jon looked at her, trying his best to not show that he was disgusted in the way she always ate. It was revolting. “Ahem.” Jon cleared his throat.
She looked up at him questioningly. She looked back down at her food and realized what she was doing. She blushed and looked back at him. “Oops… heh.” She chuckled nervously.
“It’s fine, I suppose.” Jon said, taking smaller bites of his meal.
She ate more controllably. Minutes passed and they finished their ‘breakfast.’ Jon opened the door to go check on Emberbeam but Twilight’s friends stood on the other side. Applejack was just about to slam her hoof into the door but instead hit Jon’s stomach.
He grunted and spat out some of his meal on the ground.
“Ah shit.” Applejack said, quickly trying to raise him up to his feet. “I didn’t mean to, I swear!”
“Applejack!” Twilight yelled.
“Well…” He panted heavily. “… There goes my breakfast.” He looked up at her to see she was lending a hoof to help him up. “You certainly pack a punch.” He stated matter-of-factly as he grasped onto her hoof.
She pulled him up and said nothing.
“I’m just gonna…” He was attempting to catch his breath. “I’m gonna go see what Emberbeam is up to.”
“We’ll come with.” Rainbow Dash said.
“Can you walk?” Rarity asked.
“I can uh… yeah. Just got the wind knocked outta me is all.”
He stumbled past them and looked down to see he was still in a towel. He looked back at the group of ponies. “Did one of you happen to find human clothes in the other room?” He asked.
“I certainly did.” Rarity said. “I’ve been observing their shape and size for hours.”
“Could you get me them, please?”
“Why certainly.” She trotted off into the room Twilight’s friends had stayed in for the night and came back out with clothes hovering around her. They dropped in his arms.
“Thank you, Rarity.” He said as he walked backwards into an open room that wasn’t used by any of them.
He closed the door, got dressed, and came back out. His stomach still hurt but most of the pain had subsided.
“Okay, now I’m going to go see what Emberbeam is up to.” He said, throwing the towel into the room he just came from.
They all walked down the small corridor and got in the elevator. Jon pressed ’42.’
“That salad was really amazing.” Twilight said. “I really need to learn that recipe.”
“I know right!?” Pinkie Pie yelled as the elevator went up.
“It was simply divine.” Rarity stated.
Jon stood there in silence as they continued their conversation about salads. Soon, the door opened to reveal Emberbeam still standing in the large room, doing nothing.
“Hey Emberbeam.” Jon said. “We need to know how to get to our destination in time to save Equestria.”
“Vehicle logs say there are two aircrafts still here.” That AI implied. “I know how to fly one, since I’m programmed to know about every electronic device on this planet.”
“How exactly does that solve our problem?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“The aircrafts have a great amount of speed. We could get there in a few days.”
“That’s great!” Jon said, laughing. “I honestly thought our trip would have taken longer.”
“I will go to the launch pad and prepare the transportation. Doing this will take a whole day so just relax and stay within the walls of the tower.”
“Alright.” Jon said, calming himself down.
Several hours passed and they were sitting around in the lounge. The sound of gunfire appeared in the distance. Jon shot up with alarm.
The others never heard the sound of gunfire so they didn’t know what it was. They looked at Jon. “My imposter is here.” He said, swinging open the door.
The mares looked panicked and bolted out the door, rushing toward the elevator. Jon was right behind them. Twilight shot her magic at the elevator button and the door opened. They all got inside and a loud siren filled the sound waves. To Jon, it sounding like an air raid siren. To the ponies, it sounded completely obnoxious. The elevator descended to the lowest floor and they left the building to see Emberbeam was standing in the street.
“Your imposter has breached Ironwire. I recommend immediate evac as soon as possible.” She said, looking down at them.
“We’re taking the aircraft.” He said.
“The transportation isn’t prepared for takeoff yet. We would never make it to your destination in time.”
Jon sighed. “We don’t really have much of an option. Bring us to the aircraft.”
“Follow me, please.”
Emberbeam walked down the road toward the severed pile of limbs. Jon still found that quite disturbing to see all that death. The ponies hated seeing it as much as him. As they passed the pile of bodies, they noticed there was no rotten stench in the air.
“Why is there no scent of the corpses?” Jon asked, running to Emberbeam to walk beside her.
“Nothing rots here. There are no germs here. The atmosphere cleanses all.” She answered, keeping her pace, which caused Jon to jog just to stay by her side.
Minutes passed and they were approaching the landing pad with the aircraft resting upon it. The turrets and alarms were still going off in the distance. Emberbeam entered the aircraft through the loading bay of the vehicle and the multicolored light shot out of her eyes, going into what seemed to be the cock pit. The light phased through the electronic panel and the ship engines started up.
“Don’t leave yet!” Jon yelled. “I’m gonna get as much fuel as I can into the ship.”
Twilight looked at him as her friends were walking up the ramp to the loading bay. “Good luck, Jon.” She said, trotting up the ramp afterward.
Jon walked to the side of the ship, examining what went where. There were a few pumps and tubes connected to a large barrel that rested on the landing platform and the ship. There were some pumps that were disconnected. He grabbed the pumps on the ground and stuck them into the empty slots of the ship. Nothing was happening. He looked over at the barrel to see a switch. “Let’s see what this does.” He said right before he flipped it.
The large barrel started to shake violently and rumble. There was a meter indicating how much fuel was in the barrel. It was losing fuel at a slow pace. An explosion occurred a few blocks away, getting Jon’s attention. He saw his imposter walking toward the landing pad. Jon stepped away from the barrel and the pumps, keeping an eye on his rival. He could sense the imposter was pissed off, even if he was just pure shadow. Within a minute, they were nearly face to face.
The shadow raised his hand and grabbed Jon’s hair, throwing him on the ground afterward. He laid on the ground for several seconds, and attempted getting up. Before he could do so, the shadow grabbed the scruff of his neck and lifted him off the ground, throwing a few punches to his face. Blood poured out of Jon’s mouth and nose. He was too weak to fight. Applejack looked back to see what was happening to Jon and cantered over to him, tackling the shadow onto the ground and pinning him. Jon was released by the imposter’s grasp but was unconscious. The shadow kicked Applejack back, causing her to fall over in pain. Her stomach was turning. He looked over at her for a brief second, and walked towards Jon, grabbing him by the neck. His intentions were to choke him to death.
Rainbow Dash flew directly toward her enemy. The shadow’s free arm was transforming into some sort of dark blade and quickly lodged it into Jon’s stomach, tossing him on the ground afterward. Jon’s blood soaked the imposter’s blade, dripping off it and leaving small red spots on the floor. He quickly turned around and slammed his fist into the Cyan coated pegasi’s face that was about to ram into him, forcing her to land. He grabbed her right wing and twisted it, causing a popping and snapping sound to occur. She screamed in agony and soon passed out from the excruciating pain.
The ship was slowly rising off the ground and Twilight quickly used her magic to carry her three friends back into the ship. The imposter stood there and watched them hover into the ship, seeming to not care if they escaped. The ramp to the loading bay started raising, closing off the entrance and exit of the ship. A hatch at the very top of the dome opened up and the ship flew out, moving forward once it had room to move without touching anything.
Twilight set Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Jon on three different steel benches that were built into the walls of the loading bay.
“Fluttershy, take a look at Applejack.” Twilight commanded. “Rarity, take a look at Rainbow Dash.”
They did as they were instructed and Twilight took a look at Jon’s wound. He was barely awake. “You’ll be alright, Jon. Just hang on.” She whispered.
He coughed up blood, having it nearly hit Twilight but instead land on his shirt. “I’m… dying…” He said in a raspy voice.
Twilight nuzzled him with a worriedly and looked up at the ceiling. “Emberbeam.” She said. “Is there any medical supplies?”
“The government had rules to NEVER leave anything in the aircrafts when they weren’t in use. I’m sorry.” The AI’s voice answered. “I have one solution, but it is quite dangerous.”
Twilight looked around at her friends and back at Jon, who was having trouble breathing. “Do what you must to keep him alive.” She said, looking directly at him.
“Bring him to the cockpit please.” The AI commanded nicely.
“What’s a cockpit?” Twilight asked, looking really confused.
The door that the light went in opened up. “Proceed into this room. The closer he is to the ship’s mainframe, the less dangerous it will be.”
She lifted him up with her magic and stepped inside the cock pit, as instructed.
The multicolored light seemed to be pouring out of the controls and launching into Jon’s body. His eyes opened wide, revealing the multicolored light. He was now standing up by himself perfectly. Twilight took a few steps back, watching all this happen. The light stayed in his eyes.
Jon stepped toward the controls and pressed a series of buttons. For some reason, he was managing to control the ship perfectly fine, but Twilight couldn’t understand how. After all, he didn’t even know how to fly this kind of technology. Or at least, she didn’t think he could. Things went by smoothly as he stared at a large screen that showed what was outside ahead (which was just empty desert). He pressed a button and backed away from the controls. He turned around and Twilight backed away from him quickly, frightened by the sight of his eyes.
“Don’t be afraid.” Jon said, except his voice was the AI. The same glow emanated from his mouth. “I had to take control of Jon’s body or he would have died. His injuries are extremely dangerous to his race. A major artery was hit and he must rest.” She walked down a hallway to the left of the cockpit and entered a room, which turned out to be a medical bay. Twilight followed her. She turned around and looked at her. “You may want to bring your friends here to rest instead of something uncomfortable such as those benches they are currently laying on.”
Twilight went to check on her friends and told them to bring the injured with her, going back to the medical bay afterward.
Jon sat on the bed and looked down at the blood stain from his wound. She lifted his shirt up and saw the hole was sealing itself up automatically.
“How are you doing that?” She asked in amazement.
“I have an energy that any organic race has value in. If any mortal gets this energy that I’m currently using to heal him, they are practically immortal.”
“So… he can’t die now?” Twilight questioned.
“As long as I am in control of him, he is immortal. The energy doesn’t last forever however. Since I am not an organic life form, this energy is only a life span as to how long I’m active. I won’t have much longer since I left my post.”
Twilight’s friends came in and set the injured on some of the cots. Rarity looked over at Jon and wouldn’t stop. “Not to be rude darling but… your eyes look quite… different.”
“That’s because I’m not Jon.” The AI spoke, frightening Rarity a little.
“Oh...” Rarity said quietly with a weak smile on her face.
Twilight sat on one of the unoccupied beds. Rainbow Dash moaned in pain, getting the AI’s attention. “I’m so sorry, Rainbow Dash, but we need to take care of your injury immediately. Twilight, you will need to use your magic to put something strong in her mouth so she doesn’t bite her tongue.” Twilight conjured a strong stick. She approached her bed and opened her mouth, while Twilight placed the stick inside. “You may want to bite down, Rainbow Dash.” She said.
She shook her head with a sign of fear. She looked up at him with the sign of ‘please, no. Don’t do it.’
“I’m sorry, but it must be done.” She looked at Fluttershy. “Flip her on her stomach.”
“I’m sorry Rainbow Dash.” Fluttershy spoke softly. “But there is no other way.”
Rainbow Dash whimpered, biting down on the stick as hard as she could as they flipped her. The AI barely touched her wing and she started releasing tears. Emberbeam grabbed her wing and she grunted in pain. The AI twisted her wing back in its normal position and she screamed in excruciating pain, managing to sink her teeth into the stick a few inches. Several seconds passed of her screaming at the top of her lungs and she fell silent. The AI stretched the pegasi’s wing out but it still felt severely broken.
“Oh my.” The AI said.
“What is it?” Twilight asked in a panicked tone, standing up and approaching Rainbow Dash’s bed.
Jon continued looking at the passed out cyan colored pony with the rainbow mane. “Her wing is beyond repair.”
“I thought you just fixed it!” Twilight yelled.
The other ponies knew what the AI was about to say. They looked away with tears running down their face.
“I’m sorry but her wing is too fractured. We will have to result to amputating it.”
“This can’t be happening!?” She yelled in tears. “Why don’t you just do what you did to Jon?”
“I can only access one body at a time. Also, entering Jon’s body took quite a lot of energy from my system. If I did it to another life form, then I would be gone and Rainbow Dash wouldn’t have changed. Her wing would still be destroyed.”
Twilight looked away and sobbed. “Fine.” She said in a quiet, depressed tone. “Let’s just get it over with.” She turned back around and looked at her friend. “I thought there weren’t any medical supplies on this ship.” She said.
“There aren’t.” She responded. “We will need to use your magic to cut it off.” The AI’s voice was always so peaceful and didn’t seem angry or sad. Not even happy! I guess it makes sense if she isn’t actually a living creature, Twilight thought to herself.
“So you want me to cut her wing off?” She asked, looking as if she was going to refuse to do so.
“I can do it if you don’t want to. Just make a hacksaw and give it to me.”
Twilight looked at Rainbow Dash for several seconds and closed her eyes. The purple mist appeared around her horn and a hacksaw appeared in Jon’s hands. “I can’t watch.” She said, turning around.
Jon started cutting the root of her wing and she woke up, screaming and kicking. “NO!!!!!!!!” Her voice was muffled because of the object she was currently biting down on. She reiterated the words ‘NO NOT THE WING!’
“Fluttershy.” The AI said. “Would you please hold her down and keep her steady. I don’t want to miss. That would lead to a series of scars on her back.”
Fluttershy was looking away and crying. She didn’t move to do what she was told.
“I understand why you don’t want to help. But if you don’t, it’s very possible I could hit an artery.”
“O-okay.” She said, approaching Rainbow Dash and doing her best to hold her down. She was easily knocked back.
“Twilight.” The AI spoke. “I need your help. Fluttershy can’t do it alone.”
Twilight took slow steps to the bed and pressed her front hooves into Rainbow Dash’s back, holding her down a little. Fluttershy then started to hold her down and she couldn’t move around as easily anymore. All she could do was repeat the words ‘NOT THE WING!’ She started moving the hacksaw back and forth against the demolished wing. Fluttershy and Twilight both closed their eyes tightly. Blood started pouring onto the bed sheets and Rainbow Dash screamed excruciatingly. Soon, Jon heard the sound of bones being cut. He continued sawing at the root of her wing and she cried, making everypony feel awfully terrible.
The instant the bone was completely cut, she passed out again. Fluttershy ran out of the room breaking down in tears. Twilight let go of her blood-stained back and continued crying, facing away from her. The AI continued sawing her wing off and soon enough, she was setting it onto a table several meters away from where Rainbow Dash laid.
“Twilight, I need a bandage. Can you make one?”
Twilight summoned a bandage and it hovered into her hands. She refused to look at him or her.
“Thank you.” She said. “Luckily, she won’t get any infections. But she can still die of blood loss.” She started placing the bandage over the bloody hole in her body.
“Why wouldn’t she die of infection?” Asked Twilight.
“Sickness doesn’t exist on this planet.” She quickly replied, stepping away from Rainbow Dash and looking at Applejack to see if she was okay.
“I… I’m fine!” Applejack asked. “I don’t need no amputatin’! I reckon it was just an upset stomach. It’s gone now.”
“You should still rest.” The AI suggested, walking over to an unoccupied bed and laying down.
Jon opened his mouth and the light shot out of his eyes, traveling out of the room, down the corridor, and into the cockpit; going back into the air ship’s system control mainframe.
